Avatar n tn And even if they are fairly normal they will know what to watch for as you get older. Also, the medication (generally Metformin or glucophage)is always $4 at Walmart. Keep us posted!!!
1801238 tn?1316477007 I got pregnant the first month that I took metformin with out clomid but it was a tubal pregnancy and had to be removed. I am now pregnant again from the combination. I know metformin, without insurance at Walmart is only $5 for a months prescription. If you can afford to go to the doctor once more for this it might help! Metformin (Glucophage) helps to regulate your insulin allowing the release of female horomones which helps you to ovulate. Good Luck!
1811433 tn?1318611440 t want to get pregnant or metformin to get pregnant. Metformin is cheap at walmart $5 and you can get birth co told at your local health department for free.
Avatar f tn This preggy chick needs to stay out of walmart! Is it just me or is walmart just a meeting place for every idiot in town??
Avatar f tn I am eating healthy and trying to do everything right. I take Metformin 500mg 2x a day and will start 1000mg 2x a day in a couple more days. I also have RA, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, and Hyperplasia. Could you explain why this is happening or what I can do about it? I do not have insurance and am being told now with my medical issues I can't get insured.
Avatar n tn Some maintenance meds like metformin are free through companies like Publix, other meds are on the $4 generic lists at places like Walgreens and Walmart. Also, call you doctor's office they may have samples or information on money saving offers for the meds you take.
Avatar f tn t a person build up a resistance to metformin and need more and more, or does metformin eventually stop working? I am so guilty of not exercising enough! I work full time and my excuse is that I am too tired to walk. Thanks so much for your input.
Avatar f tn I wonder how many of us have anxiety in Walmart? I have been practicing exposure training (having [panic attacks) purposely by going into Walmart and making myself stay in the store for 45 minutes to an hour. It is hell I tell you. So, if you see anybody freaking out in the spice ailse, that would be me!
365714 tn?1292199108 I thought we needed something a little bit lighter with all the political stuff and other things... Anyways I went shopping at Walmart yesterday and thought I'd share the exprience. I think it's sort of funny and sad at the same time: http://www.medhelp.org/user_journals/show/29848 If anyone else has a story feel free to share...
Avatar f tn Wtf she is not being annoying! Lol. That was rude of you to say that... she just stating a fact! The people who work at Walmart don't even do their job half the time! An it's not that hard for them to go look in the back. They always have one or two back there.. if they Don't have it on the shelves then it's always good to ask. Because most of the time they have some in the back. So there's no need to be rude....
Avatar m tn I guess that I need to give a metformin testimonial too. After achieving SVR I've been on 2000 mg of metformin per day. I am still SVR. Therefore, metformin also provides a protective shield (almost like a vaccine) against further infection. The stuff is great, the stuff is cheap - if only they could miniaturize those horse pills somewhat.
Avatar m tn Metformin is a medication with an excellent safety record. It is clear that good control of your blood sugar is essential. I believe your cardiologist is exercising good judgement and you should not hesitate to take the metformin and the benefits outweigh the minimal risks..
Avatar f tn I finally got in to see my doctor. She is so incredibly cool. She explained some things. Like she said that my brain is telling my ovaries what to do but the testosterone isn't letting my ovaries ovulate like normal. There are TINY cysts, paired with the androgen issues (male hormones) and therefore I was diagnosed with PCOS. Most PCOSers have insulin resistance and diabetic issues. Luckily I don't have that problem.
535822 tn?1443976780 I was diagnosed with diabetes a few months ago I was given metformin which made me break out in a rash, so stopped it and have used diet since. Last few days have not felt well, and today pretty certain the blood sugar dropped and I have felt so bad .Looked it up and looks like Low blood sugarI tried soda and now some peanut butter, am I doing the rright thing ..forgiv spelling mistakes .
257175 tn?1204161973 If money is tight - can you go on metformin ($4 at walmart). It is usually for PCOS patients but some RE's will give it out anyway. At least see if they will give it to you until you guys can afford the drugs. I almost never O'ed on my own. Then I took Metformin, only took it for anout 14 days and O'ed on my own with nothign else involved. Didn't get preggo that time but at least you would be Oing possibly. Then it doesn't feel liek such a waste, you know?

Avatar f tn I had to stop taking metformin completely as soon as I got my pregnancy confirmed. I was taking it for PCOS and insulin resistance. My dr said I'll probably start taking it after delivery and after I finished breastfeeding.
