I have been suffering extremely painful cramps for years now, ever since I got my first period when I was 13. I'm currently 18 and am going off to college very soon, but I have no idea how to deal with these cramps that incapacitate me for an entire day. My cramps get so bad that I usually faint. For example, when I was around 14 my period came in the morning but I still went to school.
A woman with a light period is not gaining much thickness in her endometrial lining during the early part of the menstrual cycle. m 40 years old, and judging by my older sisters and mother, I likely have another 11-12 years before menopause. Over the last year or two, my menstrual cramps have gotten much worse. I get chills and shakes, aches in my joints, nausea, headache, and massive cramps. I've tried heating pads, lots of fluids, bed rest, Aleve, and other OTC pain relief. I went to see a new midwife for my last annual about 18 mo ago and forgot to mention it to her, then felt embarrassed to call in about it.
On the 4th and 5th days, the stomach pain comes together with the sharp pain on my left lower adominal like menstrual cramps, then I take the hormone pills-Norcolut and it does help as the pain would go away after that.
Please let me know what causes the stomach pain and the sharp pain on my left abdomen?
Is there any other solution to resolve the pain without going through surgery?
I started having severe menstrual cramps and heavy bleeding after my second time having a period (at 11 yro). The heavy bleeding was caused by anemia, had to go on iron supplements which immediately helped. For the pain, I had to take birth control pills (though I wasn't sexually active). This helped for about 4 years, then the painful cramps came back but were not so severe. Everyone is different obviously, so I would suggest going to gynecologist.
I'm 34 weeks and having the strongest menstrual type feeling cramps ever. My Lower back is in so much pain. It's almost unbearable. Should I be concerned? Did anybody experience this before labor?
They are helping me a lot, but I am taking them as a treatment for something more serious than menstrual cramps. I know how awful can be what you are going throught your periods and I know that there are many different BCP for different types of problems, but if you don't have serious health (gyno) problems, than I suggest not to take BCP. They are medications and they help, but every medication have its own side effects and it's not so pleasent to feel them on such a young age.
i consumed 2 pills of gynaecosid on the 3 week of pregnancy.on the second day i started experiencing cramps with an increase in temperature nd much drowsiness.this is the 3rd day ,yet there isnt any sign of menstrual flow although i still experience early pregnancy symptoms like nausea,painfull nipple nd a lot of drowsiness.what is the posibility that the health of the foetus is still intact as i have decided to keep the baby on a second thought? kayla.
Over possible menstrual cramps? I'm just trying to figure out if I conceived is it normal to have cramps around where I'm suppose to start. I would be about 3-4 weeks if it worked.
On 30 oct he ejaculate inside so i took morning after pills on 1 st november. Now from few days back i am having cramps occassionaly in my belly especially at the left side..also breast feel tender, got thigh cramps and thick creamy white discharge .... Does all these symptoms means i am pregnant....( i used to have those symptoms before my periods but just b4 a day but now its already 5 days i am having those symp but no periods at all...
My life has def been less stressful as Im currently not working(infact I hv not been working only since I came to the US). I had cramps similar to my menstrual cramps when I was due for my last period and since then Ive been having such cramps on and off. It has been 60 days since I got my last period. I had my blood test done last week and it came out negative. What could possibly be happening with me? Do missed periods for various resons get accompanied with cramps?
To me, they didn't feel any different. I was prepared for disappointment because I thought my period was about to come. I don't think every woman feels cramping during implantation, just like every woman does not experience spotting.
