Avatar f tn I am 30 yr old female and have pre ovarian failure and Add to dictionary thyroiditis. I went to the OB 3 separate times for what I thought was menstrual cramps. I had a vaginal ultrasound done two years ago, so no recent one was done in my 3 separate OB visits. The last visit the OB said it could be a gastro issue. I went to gastro and discussed my awful cramps along with symptoms of constipation followed by diarrhea and she ordered a flex sig and celiac test. Both normal.
2060775 tn?1330776987 Passing large blood clots during period on a regular basis is accompanied by a large blood flow, painful menstrual cramps and a general feeling of discomfort.
Avatar f tn ve been feeling some mild cramping. The feeling is similar to dull cramps before your menstrual cycle or the dull cramp when you have to go to the restroom to poop. I'm unsure if it's normal. It isn't hurting it's just bothering me because I'm worried that it's not normal. Please help.
Avatar f tn I have severe cramps. I can't even walk through the grocery store without almost dropping to the ground in pain. I've tried Advil Tylenol ibuprofen and even tried sitting with a heating pad on my tummy. I've tried everything but nothing even touched them. So my question is does anybody know how to make them stop or even turn them from severe to mild.
Avatar n tn Hi, Spotting and usually a light blood flow are the first visible signs that your period (menstrual flow) has started; most young women will notice a spot in their underwear first. A period can last anywhere from 2, 3, or 4 days for the first few months to a year. Other signs can be lower abdominal cramps, bloating, fatigue, irritability, and headaches, etc ~ which are normal...
Avatar f tn You can try taking a couple Advil to help with cramping pain. I get severe menstrual cramps myself, and have been put on prescription medication. But the Advil can work just as well and does get rid of pain. It may be pain from endometriosis. Make another doctors appointment and ask about that. Good luck.
Avatar f tn s any scientific information to back that up but it might have something to do with it thinning blood. Have you tried Midol or Pamprin? Midol complete is very good and it has absolutely no aspirin. Regular exercise has also helped me in the past. Nothing like cardio but yoga and pilates helps ease some of the pain and relax you as well. If I were you I would head back to the doctor.
Avatar f tn This question is for women...I'm on day 21 sober & I just started my period yesterday. This is the first period I've had in 2 years without being on opiates. Let's just say that I kinda forgot how terrible the cramps can be. Midol doesn't work for me...does anyone have any suggestions for any other OTC pain killers for cramps? I need to invest in a dang heating pad! Ugh!
Avatar f tn is it possible that stuff like these could effect your menstrual cycle fingering orgasms energy drinks
Avatar n tn I have really bad cramps and midol makes me feel sick. I just take ibuprofen and it helps a bit, but definitely say something to a doctor.
Avatar f tn Hey everyone! I get extremely bad cramps like 2 weeks before my period and they last all through my period. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a medicine or medication that helps with this. Its not fun! Thanks.
Avatar f tn I find that drinking Beetroot juice throughout the month and when you are expecting you period helps to reduce the bloated feeling that adds to cramps. On top of this I avoid drinking cold drinks as it worsens cramps. On top of this it may be best to reduce your vitamin C intake when you are expecting your period as this does add to the intensity of your cramps.
1395422 tn?1308016251 Everyone woman knows what a menstrual cramp is. It may come as a surprise to many that menstrual cramps have another name. The medical term for these abdominal and pelvic pains is “dysmenorrhea”. More than 50% of women are affected each month by a certain degree of dysmenorrhea, and 15% of those women are experiencing severe cramping. Isn’t this PMS?
Avatar f tn So im 34 weeks pregnant and for the past three or so weeks ive had cramps like im on my period where all i want to do is curl up in a ball and take some midol but obvi its not my period. Each time i call the doctors and ask about it it seems to not be alarming as long as im not bleeding or "the bloody show" hasnt begun.. but of course im still concerned because its constant unless im sleeping. Is this normal? And what the hellbis going on with my body if it is?
Avatar f tn Midol is not OK.
Avatar f tn Personally, I find the Ibuprofen-based only helps me with my back ache and not the cramps whereas Tylenol (acetamenophin-based) helps me with my cramps. As far as when-you-can-just-sit-around methods (perhaps in conjunction with the pain med of your choice): Heating pads can help. Curling up into a tight ball or sitting with your knees to your chest can help.
Avatar n tn The best product that I have personally used recently, is ThermaCare Menstrual Heat Wraps. They're relatively inexpensive, last about 8 hrs., and can be worn underneath clothing ~ great for busy days on the go. Otherwise, you can use moist heat, such as a damp washcloth rinsed in hot water, squeeze out excess water, then apply to your abdomen. Another over-the-counter pain reliever is Midol; you can also use maximum strength Ibuprofen instead. Good Luck!
Avatar f tn and it was heavier than its ever been. i took some midol and the cramps started to go away after awhile but i had the head ache for most of the day. i went to an urgent care center and they did a urine pregnancy test which came back negative but they said it would be too soon to tell anyways but if i am it would have a better chance of showing up in a blood test. so they did that and i get the results back on wednesday.
Avatar f tn Similarly, the Midol (cramps and body aches) contains ibuprofen and should not be taken with an additional dose of ibuprofen. You can read up more about the drugs interacting with Septra at the link posted below. www.drugs.com/drug-interactions/septra_d00124.html Do ensure that you maintain adequate fluid intake (about 2000 ml) while on these drugs and avoid alcohol as alcohol interacts adversely with Septra. Do keep us posted.
456991 tn?1239307232 I agree with what Joy said. Mine felt a bit like menstrual cramps. My belly would get really hard and I would have pressure like I had to have a BM. But mine weren't painful right away, so I had no idea I was in labor except for the fact that it was happening every 2-3 minutes! Everyone seems to describe them differently, but basically it's a tightening, and then will release, and they should have some sort of pattern to them. You are getting so close!!
Avatar f tn I had bad cramps and bleeding with my first pregnancy. He's 17 months old now. I don't know how far along you are but mine stopped by 5 weeks.
Avatar f tn I would definitely take Midol or Tylenol, I get horrible cramps to the point where I am also throwing up from pain and rolling around on the floor. Midol seems to help me a ton. I would also maybe talk to my parents about possibly getting on birth control pills to help with the cramps -- that was suggested to me and just because you are on birth control doesn't mean that you are or have to be sexually active but it does help. Good luck hun!
867809 tn?1239581636 t know if your periods are regular or irregular for awhile. Try taking Midol. Go to your pharmacy and read each package and decide which one is right for you. I use the Menstrual Complete and it works great. Good luck.
Avatar n tn I really find plain old ibuprofen to be the best for cramps. I take the max dose of 800 mg. overall, if you hydrate and drink extra water leading up to it, exercise on a regular basis and eat well, they do seem to be less for me. Some women do like a heating pad. And we have times in our life in which cramps are worse than others so don't think this has to be the rest of your life having horrible cramps! Hang in there.
Avatar f tn I'm 20 and I never had cramps or pain before and recently these 5 months I'm having a lot of pain during my period. Is there something wrong?
Avatar n tn But with me I dont get cramps, headaches, nausea or most of the common symptoms on any other days but I guess I just got lucky. With cramps I would take midol then take it up to pamprin in about a year. With the cravings I would say steer clear from sweets I know everyone says "just one wont kill me" but when you just eat one its never just one. I drink the naked juice it really cuts down the cravings ( the best one is green machine I know its green but its so good).
