You can get a prescription ointment with lidocaine and that will numb your skin. If you have not started tx yet you may be worrying more than is necessary. The shots are not painful, they give you a teeny tiny needle that is very sharp and you inject into fat so there is almost no sensation. I was worried about the injections but my fears about the injections were unfounded and I got through 48 weeks of tx (and 40 of them with an additional shot of Procrit) without any pain from the shots.

I've never heard if lidocaine here do you get it?

but my feet still look pretty bad.. i think the sunburn is affecting them.. and today suddenly my back, chest, and shoulders are extremely irritated... i don't know what to do.. they hurt so bad! but it's mostly only if i have to move.. but still very irritating. i tried vinegar and milk... both relieved the burning for a very short time, but not good enough. i showered in lukewarm water this morning which helped a lot i think, that is what made the burning stop the longest..

I got a pretty bad sunburn on the 3rd of June. It cleared up with a little peeling on my shoulder (where the sunburn was the most severe). About a day after the peeling on my shoulder stopped (I'd say that was the 9th), I got a rash. I then noticed it was everywhere I had been sunburned or exposed to the sun, but not anywhere that my bathing suit was covering. The rash is terribly itchy and it's very small flesh colored bumps.

I got Badly Sunburnt the other day on my face, neck and shoulders and mum noticed a lump on my forehead is that normal?. Is aloe vera gel with lidocaine oki to put on? If not does anyone have any remedies? I didnt think walking around the boardwalk in a tank top without sunscreen would burn me because i normally turn brown not red.

Hey ya'll, Well I certainly did it today. My son (Zach) had a baseball game this morning at 10:00 am. Of course I went, and I sat there for 4 and 1/2 hours. Well, that was pretty stupid because I look like Sebastian on the Little Mermaid. For those of you who doesn't know who Sebastian is he is a lobster. Red as a beet. I just got out of the shower and I'm on fire. I soaked some paper towels in vinegar and applied that to the burnt areas and it has helped a lot.

m not sure what it is, but to relieve the symptoms, your usual sunburn products would have a numbing effect... anything with lidocaine. Also, aloe relieves burning. Ice could also work wonders and would also take down swelling and stop the burning skin. I hope this helps.

m prescribed a lidoderm 5% patch, which is basically a patch infused with lidocaine. It helps with the nerve/muscle type pain I have in the lower left leg facing outward. By itself, for bad pain it wouldn't be worth the money, but I'm prescribed Lortab 10/650's ( a narcotic ) and the two used together seem to help lower this pain better than either one treatment alone.

About 5 days ago I fell asleep on the beach for almost 4 hours. I am very fare skinned and I know this was VERY stupid. But now I need treatment advice. I went to my PCP yesterday and he gave me a LIDODERM, a lidocaine patch, to try and help with the pain in my neck -he thinks if that calms down so will the migraines.. theyve been everyday constantly for well over a month and a half, and no meds help.. nor do therapeutic methods i have here at home.. Has anyone here used it before? And did it help? I tried to use it last night but it wouldnt stick to my neck.

Re: Lidocaine Enemas. I am warning everyone to be careful. My brother just died 3/31/12 from a lidocaine enema. He was only 28. (Lidocaine Intoxication) Lidocaine in liquid form. I don't want anyone elses loved ones to die like this. I hope everyone will be careful when dealing w/lidocaine. it is a dangerous substance when not used properly.

wants to do a lidocaine IV infusion, he says IV infusion of lidocaine is different than the dental injection. My cardiologist says I can't have lidocaine at all, due to my past severe heart reaction to it, but my pain dr. thinks it will be OK and has scheduled me for infusion for pain relief for this Friday. I dont know what to do, so any info on the lidocaine and any contraidictions with heart arrhythmias would be helpful. Thankyou.

I have sunburn on my legs from just above the kneecaps to my ankles. I've had the sunburn since Monday. I have no swelling, my legs are pink.
