lexapro side effects rash

Hey I'm on Lexapro now and the only side effects I have are feeling tired a lot, some weight gain, and heat rash in the sun. Otherwise, it's helping a lot.

Had sexual side effects and gained some weight but I am not positive is from the Lexapro but I think may be. The Dr gave me Effexor which knocked me out for 3 days, slept 36 hours straight, then Celexa which I broke out in a rash all over my body from. He tried Wellbutrin but that did nothing. I didn't lose weight on it like some people do.

Like... they said at 10mg there are very few side-effects and at 20mg there are noticeable side-effects. But, you obviously don't want to change the dose on your own, as this can be extremely dangerous! But, it would be worth talking to your doctor about if the side-effects don't go away fast enough. Although... most of the time... with SSRIs in general I find, it can take 2 to 4 weeks for side-effects to go away and then they're gone for good.

Hi, I am too experiences horrific effects from coming off 20mg Lexapro. But I can't take all the side effects anymore. I wish I knew what to do to stop the vertigo/dizziness but the only thing I can find on internet (but havent' tried yet) is a motion sickness tablet that contains a vestibular suppressant. Only thing I wanted to mention is that a friend/nutritionist has suggested I take SamE as an alternative to the Lexapro.

I am switching from luvox 200mg to lexapro 20mg. The luvox caused weight gain, fatigue, sexual side effects. Wellbutrin I have heard makes OCD worse because it raises levels of dopamine.

Have you noticed any side effects on Clonazepam or Lexapro? I am on 10 mg of Lexapro for a while now and added 1 mg of Clonazepam 2 monts ago. I noticed that I get twitches in my fingers and sometimes my fingers shake a little. Does this familiar to anyone?

I never experienced sexual side effects with Lexapro, but I have with other anxiety medications. I didn't like it one bit! So, when I stopped taking those particular meds, I am happy to say that all functions returned to normal :) If you are on Lexapro, there must be a reason (anxiety?) so I wouldn't recommend not being on anything. The good news is...those side effects started improving for me usually by the 2nd week, and once they started getting better, they went away pretty quickly. don't believe that about Lexapro and side effects. That's just pharmaceutical company hype. I read on one website about meds that Lexapro is tolerated pretty well by most, but when it isn't it's really really bad. I'm on Lexapro, and it's pretty easy on me, but then, it doesn't work, either, so it's probably not being metabolized that well. Paxil worked better, but with tons of side effects, and then when I quit it killed me dead.

Do the new drugs come with their own side effects besides the ones that soc come with? Not sure if I asked that right, I'm still waiting for everything to come together but if the new meds come with even worse side effects than one might already get maybe that's another reason to treat now.
