Avatar n tn The first step is consulting with a qualified surgeon or dermatologist to determine the cause and then go over your options for a solution. For instance, you may be a candidate for hydroquinone use in hyperpigmentations but not laser resurfacing. Some may only need medication cessation or substitution.
Avatar n tn Has an ophthalmologist recommended removal with a laser? This is usually in the conjunctiva and can easily be removed with scissors in the office.
Avatar m tn Hi, thanks to both of you for responding to my questions for I am still searching for an easy way to get rid of these moles/freckles. I have not yet consulted a dermatologist, but I plan to in the near future. I have done some research and have considered using natural home remedies like dabbing the mole with pinapple juice, dandelion root extract, apple cider vinegar, etc. I have also considered purchasing some type of topical cream, I am just really afraid of scarring on the face.
Avatar n tn No Yag laser is NOT used for that purpose on the eye. Generally benign "freckles" (nevus) of the conjunctiva are not removed.
Avatar n tn Hi There is no single topical medication that would eradicate hyperpigmentations like freckles permanently. Laser therapy may help but this entails more expense and the results may only be evident after several sessions. Prolonged sun exposure, fair skin and genetics may play a role here so it is important that you avoid prolonged sun exposures and use sun block with an SPF of at least 30 to protect the face.

Avatar n tn Hello, There are 5 types of laser hair removal systems. These include pulsed light, Nd YAG laser, diode laser. Alexanderite laser and ruby laser. This depends on the skin type and varies from patient to patient. I suggest you to get an evaluation done from a dermatologist for the skin type and then depending on that, laser hair removal can be decided.
Avatar n tn Hello, Since the symptoms are persisting for a long time, chemical peeling or laser removal can be done. For this you need to consult a dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar f tn Hi, I had an IPL treatment on my chest, full arms, tops of shoulders and tops of hands yesterday for pigmentation (freckles). I have red hair, fair skin and dark hazel eyes. I burn relatively easily and never tan but freckle. I was not given any after care advice following my ipl treatment but have been putting dermaid on the affected areas at night and QV moistouriser on during the day.
Avatar m tn Over the past few months i have notices several new moles maybe freckles since they are small in size and light in color apearing on my body. a few on my chest, and a few on my arms. i also have a new mole apearring close to a birth mark on my inner thigh. what could be making these appear ? and should i get them checked out ?
Avatar n tn ve seen different therapies available, but I am not sure which one I should be looking for (i.e. IPL / Fraxel Laser... There were other laser types but I am not sure.) Different places have different treatments and I just wanted to have a better idea what might remove this single flat mole, and cause minimal to no discoloration if removed. Please guide me to the direction and type of professional I should look for.
Avatar f tn ( We got Freckles a laser light last year for Christmas and she liked it. I hope your baby gets well soon and can enjoy playing again. Zodiacqueen: that toy sounds a lot like the one we got Freckles when she was a kitten only it had bird feathers on the end. It was called Da Bird and that toy rocked! We actually had to hide it from her up high in the laundry room because she became obsessed with it and would eat the feathers if she had the chance. Domino: we get Pounce treats, too.
Avatar n tn Last year I stared getting ingrown hairs in my face pretty much out of nowhere. I really did not have acne problems before this began. I have been using duac gel and it reallt has not gotten much better. I have been told that laser treatment would be a great choice. What is the average price range for the laser removal of ingrown hairs? Avatar f tn If there are true freckles along the scar, it may be possible to treat the area effectively with a laser. Scar revision is also possible, but with some uncertainty about the outcome. A local plastic surgeon can advise you about both issues.
Avatar f tn For as long as i can remember i have had hundreds of these red flat, freckle spots all over my arms, chest, stomach and a few on my legs. I have had a very large bright red birthmark on my back since birth, and these other red freckles have multiplied over the years. They don't itch, they are not raised, i just hate them as people notice them, they almost look like splatters of blood all over me! What are they? Wish i could attach a photo to show them.

Avatar n tn I have had a brown patch of skin on my leg for the past two years. I am pretty sure I noticed it after I stopped visiting the tanning bed regularly. (around two years ago was when I stopped going tanning) Anyways when I was tanning I don't believe I moisturized enough because ever since my legs have been so, so dry. I could wet my finger and then rub it up my leg and there would be a difference in color.
Avatar m tn I recently heard about a treatment for cancerous cysts that involves laser removal but goes in vaginally vs. requiring surgery. I can't find any details online. Has anyone heard of this? Is it even possible?
