Avatar f tn I have been undergoing laser hair removal and I had my last Brazilian treatment (7th treatment) about 2 months ago (February 2018). The next day or the day after, I went to the gym and after my workout used the stand up tanning bed. I noticed in the bed these spots under the UV lighting, what looked like a red rash and thought it had something to do with the heat from laser + tanning.
Avatar n tn After my second treatment of laser hair removal (Brazilian), I developed red, itchy bumps around the area. After intercourse, my boyfriend complained of the same problem. Since he does not get laser hair removal, we're both stumped. We use protection and are in a monogamous relationship. My doctor told me it sounds/looks like folliculitus and prescribed antibiotics for it, but the area itches every time I return for treatments.

Avatar f tn Also you can go in for laser hair removal which causes permanent reduction of hair and does not cause folliculitis also. Please consult a good cosmetologist/dermatologist for that. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar f tn A little back story... I receive laser hair removal treatments for my Brazilian area.. the area between my legs - the crease where my panty line is - is sometimes difficult to treat. I replaced my razor and tried to shave very close there, as my hair was prickly. I know when I shaved, I irritated the area. The next day (this past Thursday) my boyfriend (we've been monogamous since May) gave me a Christmas gift early, a new vibrator.
Avatar f tn We've discussed shaving on here before and how hard it is to do a good job on your vagina cuz it's harder to see what you're doing with your belly poking out. I had laser hair removal and my hair is growing during this pregnancy. Anyways, I tried shaving on the toilet tonight and it worked great. I was able to open myself up a little more to get those hard to reach spots! I feel sooo much better NOT feeling hair there. Just wanted to share that with ya'll.
1161702 tn?1277413731 I am a man and I most assuredly prefer pubic hair removed, just as I have had laser hair removal treatments to remove my pubic hair. I am not willing to ask a woman to do something I would not do myself. If all you are interested in is just intercourse, then I guess the hair really doesn't matter. However, if you would like oral sex, too, then the "cleaner" the better and the more likely you are to get it.
Avatar m tn Years ago I was receiving laser hair removal on my entire brazilian area. After that, I began getting brazilian waxes. About 2-3 years ago I noticed a small, round bump (smaller than the zero on most keyboards) that was flesh colored, somewhat firm to the touch (solid, not filled with fluid) slightly raised, but relatively smooth, not bumpy. My immediate thought was that it was a keloid/scar as a result of shaving and/or having the laser used on such sensitive skin every month for years.

Avatar f tn Does anyone know of any hair removal creams that work and are safe to use in the bikini ?
3053649 tn?1356365017 It will make your eyes water bc essentially they're taking all that hair off. The difference between a bikini and brazilian wax is a bikini only gets the bikini line and brazilian its all of your hair even your butt hairs removed.
Avatar n tn Does body laser hair removal effect the baby if pregnant ? Is it okay to have laser done while pregnant ?
Avatar m tn You could also try laser hair removal. It's expensive and a bit painful, but it would significantly reduce the amount of hair permanently. It works best for people with darker hair and lighter skin since the laser looks for the color contrast. If you do laser hair removal, you'll probably use a lidocaine cream 30 minutes before the treatment. It basically feels like a rubber band snapping on your skin. Laser hair removal requires several treatments to work.
Avatar f tn Hi, I had a mole on my face and I did a mole excursion, a small brown spot grew back, and I did a mole laser removal surgery to get it remove. However after the laser removal surgery, my mole is not disorted and grown, it doesn't seem to be a tissue scar cause it is dark brown and a raiser lump has occurred. Is this an indication of something? Can I get mole removal again using laser or excision or it would keep coming back? Thanks!
682777 tn?1226687522 This is unique because it is relatively painless and unlike the laser hair removal process, IPL works equally well on most skin pigmentations without removing any of the pigment. IPL hair removal is reported to safely and effectively eliminate hair of all colors: blond, red, brown, black and even white. There are differences between laser and IPL. In IPL the intense light is absorbed by the pigment in the follicles and converted into heat.
Avatar f tn Do any other women get Brazilian waxing while pregnant? Waxing was the BEST thing I ever decided to do when it came to hair removal. The pain wasn't as bad as people make it out to be. However I go every 4 weeks and tonight is the 3rd time I'll be waxed since I've been pregnant. (I'm 14 weeks) I have noticed the first time it hurt a bit more than usual, then a little more the next time I went. Does waxing become more painful when pregnant or am I just crazy?
Avatar f tn Laser hair removal might be what you are looking for. Why don't you want to shave though? If it is because of uncomfortability then laser probably isn't the way...
Avatar n tn Hello, There are 5 types of laser hair removal systems. These include pulsed light, Nd YAG laser, diode laser. Alexanderite laser and ruby laser. This depends on the skin type and varies from patient to patient. I suggest you to get an evaluation done from a dermatologist for the skin type and then depending on that, laser hair removal can be decided.

Avatar m tn In 2002, I got laser hair removal done between my eyebrows. Ever since, something strange has happened. My right pupil dilates more than my left, and sometimes my right eye's veins are more red than my left as well. Also, on my right eyebrow, white hairs are appearing. And I'm only 27 years old. Anyone have any idea about this??? Could the laser hair removal affected my veins?
