Last year all I did was swing my legs out of bed and stand up when extreme pain shot through my knee. For the next 2 weeks I was limping and the pain was pretty severe. It started 5 years ago with pain going up and down the stairs. I saw an orthopedic and he told me it was overuse. Just 5 months ago I went to see him again and he ran an MRI and an X-ray. The X-ray showed nothing and the MRI showed thinning of the cartilage.
has helped THAT knee some, but other symptoms continue so went to rhuematoloist.. diagnois B12, folic acid and vit d severe defiencies and was placed on folic acid vit d pills with weekly b12 shots.. but wondering if this could be just masking a MS problem.. I did also have ankle problems at 25 so severe they would turn black from bruising and was off on disability for 12 weeks..and always had a fatigue problem with high white cell count..but this is a first for low b12..
Hi ladies, so I woke up on Saturday morning and out of nowhere I had noticed my left knee was in a lot of pain. This morning it's a bit better but I do not remember hurting it. Has anyone had this happen? I'm a worry wart.
My 9 yr old has a sed rate of 14. She has feet pain on a regular basis and the doctors cannot find any problems by looking at her MRI What is the normal sed rate for her age and how informative is that piece of information?
The knees are at the stage where my doctor says the only option is knee replacement surgery, and that I should let him know when the pain is too bad to tolerate. So, any walking is painful, as is driving, getting out of a chair, etc. Even worse is the lower back pain. If I stand or walk for more than 3-5 minutes, I develop back spasms so bad that I feel nauseous, get sweaty and even feel sort of panicky. The only thing that shows in x-rays for my lower back is the arthritis.
I have knee pain and swelling that comes and goes. I have been to an Orthopedic and have had x-rays and MRI. Nothing specific was noted in the x-ray and scan. The Dr suggested orthoscopic surgery to see what he might be able to do. I have not had the surgery.
He also suggested I may have osteoarthritis. The pain will come with walking, sometimes very quickly and sometimes not much at all.
She has experienced severe joint pain/chest pain off and on since she has been ill. She has experienced intermittent pain in knee, hips, ankle, shoulders, elbows, chest, and currently in wrists. I am an enigma. It all started when I twisted my knee when a strong wave knocked me down in the ocean. The MRI showed a strained retinculum tendon of left knee. I also had tightness in the back and side of knee but wore a knee brace. Also my foot was and is still very tight under the arch. This caused me to walk differently ....more on the inside of my foot. Fast forward to 3 months later.
My nine year old daughter, Irene, has presented with knee pain for the last three weeks. She has to use crutches to walk. She can bend her leg at the knee with no problem but she cannot straighten it without crying out in pain, she cannot put any weight on it because it hurts worse. She has had x-rays, an MRI and has appointments with physical therapy, orthopedics, and rheumatology. The xrays came back negative, the MRI showed no problems with her bones just slight inflamation.
I was told that I have patella feminel pain, I am use to having trouble kneeling and walking after a shift at work and and my knee being weak and the knee cap moving around, but lately even when I am not doing anything it feels as though something is push up on my knee cap, and extremely painful and I cant get the pain to go away. Now unable to put full weight on Lt leg.No swelling behind knee/light swelling above front of knee cap.Pain when bending knee /more pain when bending with Lt toes pointed toward the outside.The snap seemed to come from behind and to the left end of the joint.Soreness/tightness remain. What could be happening?
you feel pain at the side and in center of knee, the swelling increases day by day, limit your tendency to bend the knee, you may feel sharp pain while bending your knee and walking. The pain come and go anytime and anywhere.
3. Extreme tears: the pain moves in joint space, you must feel you are unable to straighten your knee and pain get worst. your knee become frail, swell and stiff. The pain lasts for a long time.
