Avatar m tn I tore my meniscus in highschool from play tennis and had surgery and it helped it so much. And its not a rough surgery either. You may consider wearing a hinged knee brace, that may help you. Hope everything works out!!!
Avatar m tn I experience many different kinds of pain in many different areas of the knee, everything from the type of pain that accompanies a bruise to pinching, burning, and stinging. It does not matter if my knee is bent, straigthened, or whether I am walking or resting. I would really appreciate some suggestions to help alleviate the pain.
Avatar n tn This started with sore muscles that i thought was from not being in shape and playing tennis. it has progressed to almost constant pain and stiffness. even with 800 mg ibuprofen i was up half the night in pain. if i warm up a lot i can still play tennis but it will come back worse later in the evening or next morning. i don't see any loss in muscle strenght but they are constantly sore. if it progresses as fast as it has been the last few weeks i am afraid i won't be able to walk soon.
Avatar m tn This translates to a bone bruise. I stopping running and switched from playing a lot of tennis singles to doubles. It still wasn't getting better so I stopped all tennis and began swimming for the last 5 weeks. Swelling is almost all gone and no pain but some stiffness remains. How will I know when it is OK to go back to playing tennis doubles? Also, if I play with some pain, does this mean that I am doing more damage.
Avatar n tn Said he could inject my patella tendons with plasma to help them heal faster but wanted to do that for last resort. Went back and kept playing tennis.... Then had very very bad knee pains (sharp pain, stiffness, hard to get up, etc.) Went back to the doc and got a new MRI. He told me that i have a partially torn patellar tendon... and that i can either have open knee surgery or inject it with plasma and wait 3 months to see if it will heal.
Avatar m tn I have had a problem with my knee for about a year. I was playing tennis and after sprinting I went to plant my foot my knee twisted, I heard a pop, and it gave out. It swelled up and hurt pretty bad. After about 2 weeks, the swelling went away and it didn't hurt too bad. Even though the pain went away, the knee just hasn't felt right. The best way i could describe it is sometimes the knee feels like it wants to turn inside out.
Avatar m tn This isnt the first time the pain comes, if i throw anything before i started playing tennis, the pain comes also and its quite severe if i keep throwing or playing. Not sure what it is. Please help.
Avatar m tn So in the middle of September life was getting back to normal. I was playing tennis and tore the meniscus on both sides of my right knee. So 3 weeks ago I had knee surgery to repair the meniscus. But in the last 4 weeks my original symptoms : headache, waking with numb arms, neck pain, shoulder pain, face pain.... Have returned. I ams scared......and I don't know if anyone else has experienced this type of situation.
Avatar f tn I recently hurt my knee playing tennis. I'm attempting to lose weight but i can't do any cardio that is too taxing on my knee; is there any exercises that have high fat burning principals other than swimming? (I dont have the avilability of swimming where i live).
Avatar n tn from Alice71 ---Hello Doctor, 20 days ago I injured myself playing tennis. I was running to my right and turned abruptly to the left to hit the ball. I couldn't walk. The pain was extremely painful below my right front knee (approximately 6-7 inches below knee). Felt like a severe spasm. After icing leg with elevation for several hours I was able to walk normally without pain. This same severe spasm has occured four times since I injured myself. I am 81 years of age (young)!
Avatar m tn I am a 50 yr old male in decent but not great shape. I like to play tennis in the summer but one of the drawbacks is a migraine after playing in the sun/heat/humidity. I have since realized that I've gotten sick from prolonged exertion to the sun/heat since I was a kid & played little league. I do take Imitrex for the Migraines (I have 4 sisters who also deal with Migraines so obviously hereditary).
Avatar m tn Since Dec 20th 2012 I had some major twitching/ spasms in my chest next to breast bone and little in upper chest. I do not know if this is due to working out or playing tennis which I do a lot. When I coughed or laughed hard I can feel a little pain or burn were it was twitching. Since Dec 20th which was now 14 days ago exactly.
Avatar m tn I continued playing tennis with almost no back pain, but then I stopped playing any sports at all. About 4 months later, I started playing badminton, which immediately brought back the lower back pain, except this time it was far worse. I had trouble getting into the car, because the pain from bending over was to much. After a couple of weeks without treatment, the pain was still there: however after I came back from a vacation, it seemed to get a lot better.
Avatar m tn About 9 hours after my injections, one in each knee, my left knee swelled up causing extreme pain and discomfort. After calling my doc. and starting on steroids the swelling quickly came down. Here's what I don't understand why only one knee reacted? And I am willing to suffer some discomfort for the relief I got from the other series. Any thoughts.
Avatar n tn ve gotten that same tendonitis pain in my arms from MS over the many years. I used to play tennis and I well remember the deep muscle pain. I also get it sometimes if I'm doing a lot of repetitive motion paperwork. It makes sense to me because I can just almost feel the muscle atrohy as my arms have gotten so very weak. It hurts a lot to push an empty cart in the store. Does this make sense? I use anesthetic spray (Biofreeze) on it for some relief.
Avatar m tn i would suggest you to keep yourself away from tennis for a few months and see how is the condition. However, even after rest, if there is no improvement, we will discuss.
Avatar m tn I would suggest you to do some gentle foot exercises and stop playing tennis for a while. Cold packs, OTC pain killers and B complex supplements will also provide relief. If symptoms do not improve please get yourself evaluated by a clinician. Take care!
Avatar m tn I'm experiencing a sharp knee pain (left knee), to the side of joint (left side) when i kneel flush on my knee cap. I've had water on the knee (right) many years ago which only occurred when i flew long distance. When i press my knee cap, no pain, nor to the side, only seems to be on hard surfaces with my full weight. Any thoughts, much appreciated.
Avatar n tn s on my knee and I have this pain that hurts and sometimes uncomfortable to bend knee or even relax, what should I do

Avatar n tn Hi, I'm a 26 year old male and about 3 months ago I began having this dull pain/soreness in my left testicle. I seemed to notice this after I was playing a lot of tennis while i was on vacation around the last week of June. Normally after playing tennis I have been known to have soreness/tightness in my lower ab area, but the pain in the testicle was a new issue. After i began noticing the pain, I stopped playing tennis and ended up seeing a doctor a week or so later.
Avatar f tn In my view, anything the size of a tennis ball needs to be seen by a doctor. Knee cancer is very rare. I was tested for knee cancer too once believe it or not! My symptoms were swelling and a hole/shadow in the bone (showed up on X-ray). There are also lots of benign lumps and bumps but you need to see someone to find out for sure. Take care.
Avatar f tn My pain is in the front of my knee. I am a tennis player, 63, and am going crazy from not being able to play.
Avatar m tn I had knee pain in outer side of knee while playing soccer. I took serratiopeptidase + diclofenac potassium capsule by doctors advice. I took rest for 2 weeks but when I started playing it started again. Please advice.
