About two years ago I started to get what looked like insect bites on my back, one day I woke up head to toe covered in hives and itchy parts on my scalp. I took a lot of meds to keep it under control and then everything went after 3/4 months. Back to present day and the back and scalp issue returned and I have now started to get the hives in the morning on my palms and face.

s but do not experience the itchy, splotchy face. I have been experiencing the most dry scalp that I thought my dandruff shampoo was not working or else I had lice (work with kids). I know that dry skin is one symptom of the disease, I just haven't had too much dryness except for this itchy scalp and dryness on the arms. I take 75 mcg of levoxyl. I am going to ask my doctor about the dry scalp. Hopefully, you find an answer for it. Keep me posted!

Every morning when I wake up my skin itches from thighs to scalp. As I go through the day a lot of it goes away, but not all.Could someone tell me what this could be?

I'm on victrelis triple therapy and just recently started to develop really itchy scalp. Feeling like I want to scratch it right off. Any advice?

Yes! I noticed that I'm starting to break out in the barely noticeable rashes, especially on my tummy and thighs.

I used Clobetesol solution (prescription) for my scalp. I had an itchy scalp which was associated with a rash on my scalp. It worked great.

Hi, I am visiting my sister. She has just finished her 3rd chemo (taxol/carbo-IV) She is having a time with nausea and it is day 9. she cannot take compazine. she uses zofran but I was told that is not really effective for delayed nausea. Any suggestions??? Also she is complaining she has a very itchy scalp. she uses Eucerin lotion. Any suggestions???

I put my hair half up half down (mine is long) so I get it on my lower scalp (above my neck, on scalp behind my ears etc) and crown/top of my head. You really dont need it on your hair, just scalp so splitting my hair works best. Only wash it every two days. Dr can prescribe clobetasol for itchy spots if it gets worse. Water, sunshine and keeping stress low also helps a lot:) I hardly have issues anymore.

I am the type of person who has always had thick healthy head of hair, but about 2 years ago when I started working at this medical facility with mold my hair started falling out to the extreme. I used to wash my hair everyday and I would loss moderate amount of hair, but it started coming out by the bunch. When I really noticed a problem was when I went to sleep and woke up. I would wake up there are a tons of hairs on my sheets and pillows.

I know the itchy skin and scalp has been hashed over and I feel like I have a handle on the skin, lotions, humidifier, cool showers, etc but the itchy scalp is not calming down. I wonder what people think while talking to me and I constantly itch scalp. My doc looked and there is no dandruff. I tried hot oil packs, all sorts of different shampoos, etc. thinking of going to salon and see if they have a suggestion. I know I saw somewhere here recently this being mentioned.

I've never had any issues with my hair, but all of I've noticed when washing it and brushing it alot more is coming out than normally would. And it is alot thinner in just a couple weeks. My scalp is itchy like no other and I've used ever dandruff shampoo, home remedies, even cortisone cream on my scalp...nothing seems to keep the itch away.

Hi, I have a small patch of pink skin on my scalp that is tender and has previously been slightly itchy. There is no flaking, no rash (bumps or spots), and no hair loss. It has been going on for months, but has only become bothersome in the last few weeks. I have tried dandruff shampoo and have taken a dose of oral diflucan (for an unrelated condition) since I first noticed the problem, and neither have helped.

When o got pregnant I had a really itchy scalp. I switched shampoos and it helps a lot. I went from using tresseme or however its spelled to using head and shoulders dandruff shampoo and I no longer have an itchy scalp. The same thing happened with my body wash. Everything made me itchy so I switched to baby body wash.

I have a very very itchy and flaky scalp. I have tried all the OTC remedies, Sea Breeze and Tea Tree Oil. It is driving me crazy. I wake up in the middle of the night sratching my head. I do not have this problem anywhere else on my body except the scalp. I have to constantly wipe my clothing off. I color my hair but have for years. I also have had the problem with an itchy scalp that feels like it is burning. I have to use shampoo/conditioner that does not contain soy protein or any type of soy. I hope you get some relief.....

It may not be withdrawal related cause I feel pretty much back to normal other than that. If anything the itchy scalp is causing stress haha.

I have had an itchy scalp for about 2 weeks and have searched the community and seen that other people have mentioned this before but thought I would put it out to see if anyone has any suggestions.
