itchy scalp in kids

We wash her hair every night in the shower with kids shampoo and use regular adult conditioner. My only other thought is dry scalp?? Do they make a dry skin kids shampoo? Any other ideas as to what this can be and how I can help her? Thanks!

Hi, I am visiting my sister. She has just finished her 3rd chemo (taxol/carbo-IV) She is having a time with nausea and it is day 9. she cannot take compazine. she uses zofran but I was told that is not really effective for delayed nausea. Any suggestions??? Also she is complaining she has a very itchy scalp. she uses Eucerin lotion. Any suggestions???

s but I do have very puffy eyes in the morning and I have the red, swollen in spots, splotchy face and very dry itchy scalp. Sometimes my whole body itches. Mainly the scalp though. Your doctor can also prescribe a topical steroid for this. These meds are available in a solution that is non-greasy for use on the scalp. The one I've used (and found very helpful) is fluocinonide solution. I also didn't do well with strong menthol shampoos or conditioners - they really irritated my skin even more.

I have a very very itchy and flaky scalp. I have tried all the OTC remedies, Sea Breeze and Tea Tree Oil. It is driving me crazy. I wake up in the middle of the night sratching my head. I do not have this problem anywhere else on my body except the scalp. I have to constantly wipe my clothing off. I color my hair but have for years. I have not changed my shampoo or hair products at all. Can someone tell me about a remedy that will help...I will try just about anything!
