My only other thought is dry scalp?? Do they make a dry skin kids shampoo? Any other ideas as to what this can be and how I can help her? Thanks!

s but do not experience the itchy, splotchy face. I have been experiencing the most dry scalp that I thought my dandruff shampoo was not working or else I had lice (work with kids). I know that dry skin is one symptom of the disease, I just haven't had too much dryness except for this itchy scalp and dryness on the arms. I take 75 mcg of levoxyl. I am going to ask my doctor about the dry scalp. Hopefully, you find an answer for it. Keep me posted!

My skin was extremely dry I tried coconut oil tummyy butter aveeno lotion and baby oil nothing helped so I started using something called "mothers friend" it works amazing got it from a local pharmacy but it can be ordered online and is only $8. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water also it helps. For my hair ive been using mane and tail horse shampoo.

I went and bought the big bottles with the pumps but if you're unsure you can try a smaller bottle for a lesser price. I have tried some of the shampoos with salicylic acid or coal tar - all it did was make my scalp worse- sort of firery sore and super itchy. that's why I think its dry scalp and not dandruff or seborrheic dermatitis - the symptoms just don't fit. my hair and scalp are dry, not greasy - even if i go 3 days between shampoos my hair is not greasy. the flakes are small and white and not oily.

Yup, it's the treatment. I really suffered from this, it drove me crazy! You need to stop washing your hair often. It won't really need it anyway. I rinsed it with conditioner and washed it about once a week. Before I could only go about 2 days between washing. Use a good product that won't dry out your scalp. When it got really bad I would rub olive oil in my scalp and leave it there then wash it out. About a month later after finishing tx the oil is appearing, yeah!

15 weeks and 5 days and my scalp has been super itchy here lately as well as parts of my face and my forehead. Sometimes others parts of my body will itch but not all the time. What could be going on? I don't see the doctor again until Tuesday of next week.

I have had a flaky dry yet oily scalp for a little over a year now and have been under alot of stress lately. Three days ago I noticed small spots on my scalp that look like scabs.
