For a few years now I've had red/purplish bumps/rash like appearance on the backs of my thighs. Every once in a while I get an even bigger bump that appears to be like a pimple that is sore..otherwise there are always red bumps..somewhat flat..maybe scarred. I do get pimples on my butt occasionally but the constant rash on my thighs seem different. I can't remember my thighs ever really itching from it either.
So I have a rash that started 24 hrs ago on the sides of my hips and now has spread rapidly from hip to hip and dipping down in between my thighs. its unbelievably Itchy and red. there not like pimple bumps with a head but more like one big swollen flat topped cluster of bumps. it looks like a cluster of welps you would get from getting spanked with a belt or something. they look like welps not pimple type bumps. but more like a rash because it covers my skin. not individual bumps ya know...
I saw a Dr. and he said the rash on my face is eczema and the rash between my fingers is hyper something or other that is caused by stress. I had been off my meds (levothyroxine) for over a week when I noticed the itching in my ears first then the rash came on my hands and then the red whelpy rash with some fine bumps that itch like the dickens, on my inner and top of my thighs, buttocks, hips some on my back. Sometimes the rash moves around or goes away a little in some areas.
So here is my story and question. I developed a red rash between my thighs that was intense itching for quite a few months but now it itches from time to time and there is discoloration of a yellowish color there and also have developed one or 2 hard spots that have burst bled but never have disappeared and remained in same location.
Keeping the area clean by taking a wet wash cloth to it in between showers or after sweating should help prevent it. I also put unscented gel deodorant on my inner thighs sometimes to keep from sweating and chafing and getting a rash.
E as he was covered top to toe in Itchy rash but at hospital with antihistamin it disappeared over a day and hasn't come back. We first thought he had an allergic reaction to some insect bites (mosquito or spider) he got when we were camping in Namibia. i had the same bites. neither of us had many. The specialist thought it was an allergic reaction to a cutaneous larva migrans infection that he had got from the damp sand where we were camping in Namibia.
I'm on my 4 weeks postpartum and last week I've noticed rashes in between my thigh and it is really Itchy, I thought that I just ate something and or applied something in my body but I really don't have any allergy. I went to see a Doctor thru intermediate Care because I couldn't take it, he had given me an ointment with 1percent hydrocortisone but I don't feel any changes. Yesterday morning I've noticed that I'm developing another rashes in some area of my body (legs, upper arm, buttocks).
I usually inject in my thighs. It seemed to work okay for several weeks and then I ran out of spots that were not red (like you did). Then I injected in my stomach for two weeks until I got a bad rash on my stomach and had to stop injecting there and go back to the thighs. I don't like either place, lol. I think they are probably about the same in difficulty (difficult for me anyway). I do have enough fat in both areas so that is not a problem.
This is an Itchy rash which comes and goes for no special reason. You may want a doctor or dermatologist check it out to see if a prescription-strength cortisone cream might help you. Best. Dr.
During this time I have also had intensely Itchy ankles that will burn after being itched, also I will get patches of this rash on my chest and abdomen that will last for months before fading, these are also intensely Itchy.
I thought it was due to the hard travel conditions, but we have been back in the States for months now. We are currently in a drier climate than we usually live, but now that my wife has seen the same symptoms I am concerned it is something that was caught maybe from our travels. My wife has heard of "dry warts" and thought it was a possibility. The symptoms have not spread to any other areas.
Hello, The symptoms are suggestive of scabies. Rash in scabies is usually found in the folds of skin and they are red blister like rashes. Yet they are very Itchy and can disrupt life. It is characterized by intense itching, usually at night and by small insect-type bites lesions on the skin. Diagnosis of scabies is made by scraping the skin and viewing the material under a microscope to see the characteristic mite or eggs.
If you've had the virus for more than 4 months, you've generated enough antibodies to prevent re-infection with the virus, anywhere on your body. However, you could have an outbreak anywhere in the boxer short area between belly button and mid-thigh. The virus lives in a nerve bundle at the base of the spine. From there, it can travel up any number of nerve pathways (cells) to the surface of the skin, where it can develop an outbreak.
The high-powered steroid ointment only helps a little and only after days/weeks of use (makes me wonder if the ointment helped or if it just got better on its own). I find myself using Caladryl and Lanacane in between uses of the prescription ointment (twice a day). My ankles start itching in the evening (after supper) and keeps on until I fall asleep. I shower at night, but it doesn't seem to affect the itching.
I have had the same issue for about 2wks now,Itchy bumps on the outside of the buttocks,in between the thighs, now to my back, and even to my fingers on my right hand. I go to the doc and I inquired about scabies and she tells me no no no its not that,or doesn't look like an std or hiv rash. She said its an allergic reaction to something. Would have been great if she would have looked at me for more than 5mins.
I've had red, Itchy skin in my groin and inner thighs for over a month and a half now. I wash it with soap and pat it dry and if I keep the area dry, the skin starts forming a dry, flaky top layer, but when I'm out walking around, the skin gets moist and turns more red. Some of the skin is raised and burns. A little bit of liquid sometimes comes out of the raised skin. I think that it might be jock itch because this occurred about a few days after I stopped playing soccer.
I don't know which category this belongs in but about 4 months ago my sister started to itch. She had extremely Itchy skin with no rash. She basically scratches herself raw to the point where she has scars from bleeding. She also had small clear whipe bumps on her hands/palms which have discoloured her skin. She went to three doctors.
Our skin itches like crazy. It is on our back, inner thighs, stomach and legs. We also get little red bumps in those places that look like a rash. The doctor thought it was scabies but he gave us medication and did nothing. I went back a second time and he said it was just from the heat and sweat, but we have had this for a few months now and has gotten very annoying. It's hard to sleep at night at times because it itches really bad. Any suggestions? Could it be something we are allergic to?
I have never been circumsized, as of recently the foreskin area of my penis has been red and Itchy and the skin seems to have tightened up. I use baby DESTin , i've used vaseline etc. it still prevails. I also have the same problem between my leg area and underarms. This discussion is related to Red Itchy rash on underside of foreskin.
I asked this question to Dr Handsfield and he said it almost certainly wasn't an STD. Over the past month I have had persistent itching on both of my inner thighs and all around the groin area. Within the last week or so while this was going on I noticed what appeared to be dry Itchy spots on my penis. I scratched at three of these spots and they turned into hard red bumps, when squeezed a tiny amount of clear fluid with traces of blood came out.
in April I started with the Itchy, watery eyes. I has progressed to a rash on my face. I have been to the allergist, and the dermatologist who told me it was eczema. I am staring to think it has to do with a root canal I had done. The root canal was in Nov. 2006 and had to be redone in April and was wondering if anyone who has been experiencing similar symptoms had a root canal..
