contractions

I went 2 weeks ago at 3 cm. Then last week at 5. Then today at 6 but no contractions. That's why they let me go home. But since last week she wanted to induce me. I just wanted him to come when he was ready but im only 3 days from my due date im sure he'll be fine now.
Have anyone took castor oil an ate pineapples at 37 weeks and baby came? I don't want to rush my baby but it hurts to walk get up nd sit down. My pelvic makes a grinding noise when I try to turn while laying down. This pain is getting worse.
I started the pitocin at 930 am, I think they broke my water about 3 pm, pushed at 550 pm, son was born at 605.
WHEN THEY POP YOUR WATER AND START THE PITOCIN THOSE CONTRACTIONS HIT HARD. TRY TO HANG IN THERE AND GIVE YOUR BODY A CHANCE TO AT LEAST START LABOR ON ITS OWN. GO TO HERB STORE AND GET RED RASBERRY TEA LEAVES, THIS WILL STREGHTHEN YOUR UTERUS IN THE LITTLE TIME YOU HAVE AND SOMETIMES TRIGGERS LABOR. WANNA KNOW THE REAL WAY TO GET YOUR OWN BODY TO TRIGGER LABOR? NIPPLE STIMULATION, YOU DO IT LONG ENOUGH, YOUR BODY WILL PRODUCE NATUAL PITOCIN.
So I was kinda scared to go into natural labor at home. I thought about inducing with this one. But with my first my doctor asked me after they did an ultrasound earlier at the appointment to check babies position and I was dilated 3 cm at the same appointment. So she asked if I wanted to wait or if I wanted to be induced. So they scheduled me for that Monday. This was at my 38wk appointment. But I feel she wouldn't have given me that choice if baby wasn't ready.
I was contracting 3-4 minutes apart but it wasn't changing anything so they sent me home. Now, I'm absolutely miserable and I have strong contractions everyday, I have a hard time moving around, and I'm ready to have this baby. Does anybody know of things I can do at home to help bring on labor?
Anyone have any ideas how to help induce labor naturally at home? I have googled different things...ive tried basil/oregano tea, mac n cheese with a1 sauce, walking about 5 miles aday, doing squats n bouncing, having sex as much as I can stand. Any other ideas ladies?? Thanks so much!!
i was merely stating that MY doctor said that 34 weeks is a major developmental milestone and will not stop labor at that point. she never suggesting inducing at that point. i listed a few of the concerns of the baby, not all. i also said a week or so...if there are other problems, obviously it would be longer. i never said that the stay would not be scary. the main point that my doctor was making was that heart valves SHOULD be closed and bleeding in the brain SHOULD NOT occur.
So, even though it wasn't the real thing, maybe it was doing something. I just can't wait. My doctor is inducing at 39 weeks because I have gestational diabetes. So 3 1/2 weeks to go!
As strange as it sounds... stimulate your nipples. You must do this for 15 or 20 minutes at a time to start contractions. This technique worked for me with my last pregnancy.
Doctors cant predict everything thats why hes waiting until fulterm like she said 38 weeks to induce her. Its nomal for practice contractions to start and for baby to be head down at 36 weeks. Also all babies start practicing breathing at around 18 weeks. The only way to test if your babies lungs are mature enough to breath air is a amniocentesis where they insert a needle in your belly and check cells. Good luck please let your dr induce you...

34 p.m., but don't worry....it might not take this long for you! LOL I strongly recommend an epidural---it worked wonders for me:) Gool luck sweety!
Any at home inducing methods or methods to help you face that worked for you mommies?? FTM..
I know when I was in labour with all 3 of my babies I was told to stimulate my nipples to help bring on stronger contractions. But hey, I would do whatever I could at your stage to help bring it on! I do have to say though that I went into labour naturally with all 3 and their labours all started with my waters breaking either when I was out or at home! Good luck!!!
But from what I've heard it does make contractions stronger and closer together, so maybe it is! Put it this way...they started the pitocin on my at 1:50pm and my DD was out at 5:31pm!!! Yes, that's just about 3.5 hours with 17 mins of pushing!
Baby was deliever after 13 hours of intense pain. For my second my water broke at home around 11pm then by 11am contractions stopped. I opted for an epidural as it was explained to me that the potocin will intensefy the contractions and there isn't as much of a rest between contractions. Baby was deliver by 2:10 pm. Then my last baby at my check-up when they did the ultrasound my fluid went from 12cc to 2cc they sent me to the hospital and induced baby was deliever 8 hours later.
I had a dr app this morning, he's inducing me on Tuesday at 7am. I'm having contractions every 4min lasting for 1 min. is this normal? it hurts so bad but they keep telling me not to come back unless there stronger and harder because I'm not dilated enough. I don't know if I can do this the whole weekend.
My water broke at 8, I delivered at 1. This was at 38 weeks. My 2nd one I got lazy and didn't do the Squaw Vine or Raspberry Leaf tea and I was laboring for about 21 hours. This time I plan on doing the Squaw Vine again to compare. Also want to mention some people use Black Cohosh, that makes me throw up in literally a half hour, I had no luck with that one personally at all.
If you call an ob clinic and ask they can give you some at home remedies to also help with this process.
I am also 38weeks and 3days and I got induce this past Sunday due to Hbp even tho I haven't had an issue with it, well anyways well let me tell u they put me on Misoprostol for 16hrs that didn't work I didn't dialate at all but I was 50%effaced so then Monday night my dr decided to out cervidil for 12hrs and at 5am Tuesday I woke up with contractions that where 7-8mins apart but when they checked my cervix again I had only dilated 1cm and was affaced 70% they didn't want to put me on pitocin bec
So last night I started contractions at 10:30pm, went to the hospital at 2:30am and contractions were 2-3 min apart and really strong... they monitored me until 6am and then discharged me-- still with contractions 2-3 min apart... I had contractions until about 7am and then they just stopped... hoping they will come back soon... the hospital said that since I am 38 weeks 3 days they wont do anything to help progress my labor and wanted to give me medication to stop it... which I refused...
I'm now 36 weeks and they're inducing me at 37 if I don't go by then. My contractions never stopped when they gave me the shots though.
(before this i was getting 4-5 contractions an hour) i've just started getting many more, and they are long. at 12:14 12:23 12:49 1:07 1:20 1:36 1:44 1:46 1:52 1:59 2:10 2:17 don't know if they are from the fenugreek, or my long walk this morning... or any gazillion other reasons. also when i woke up there was a perfect round wet spot on my sheet, i was leaking milk. i guess my body is ready... i can't wait to squeeze this puppy out! stephie 37 weeks.
They have many way's of inducing. Have you had a internal done? Whether you are dialated or thined out would change the route a doctor would take in inducing. Some doctor's won't even consider induction in a "normal" pregnancy until 42 week's. Good luck and keep us posted.
