Hi, I am 39 weeks due to be induced the 25th of October. I have been dialated to a 3 since last Thursday. My doctor sent me to labor and delivery last Thursday because she thought I was going to have my baby that day. I was contracting 3-4 minutes apart but it wasn't changing anything so they sent me home. Now, I'm absolutely miserable and I have strong contractions everyday, I have a hard time moving around,and I'm ready to have this baby.
What are some good ways to try and induce labor? My doctor told me it's a good idea to look up some good at home ways to induce labor. My bf is always working and when he gets home he's extremely tired and sex is so uncomfortable so that's kinda out of the question. I heard squats could help? Anything else ladies?
I went 2 weeks ago at 3 cm. Then last week at 5. Then today at 6 but no contractions. That's why they let me go home. But since last week she wanted to induce me. I just wanted him to come when he was ready but im only 3 days from my due date im sure he'll be fine now.
I had prodromal labor for about 2 weeks. Regular, painful contractions would come then stop. I would get a long one, then short indicating the baby was sunny side up and trying to get turned around. My labor team came several times and set up the birthing equipment 3 times which ended with frustration and disappointment. I was stuck at 4cm. I ended up going to the hospital for induction because the pain and this on & off labor was exhausting since it usually happened at night.
My sister went for an hour walk in the soft sand at the beach went home and her water broke, you could give that a go, she tried this on her due date, I tired it with my son but had no luck, I had to be induced at 41 weeks, labour is painful anyway it happens, just keep upright buring labour, it helps keep things moving, good luck and just remember your baby will be here very soon either way!
As strange as it sounds... stimulate your nipples. You must do this for 15 or 20 minutes at a time to start contractions. This technique worked for me with my last pregnancy.
ok ppl I need advice. I've been having contractions since Wed night. I'm 2cm dilated and 80% effaced. I tried drinking castor oil last night, it didn't work. I had a dr app this morning, he's inducing me on Tuesday at 7am. I'm having contractions every 4min lasting for 1 min. is this normal? it hurts so bad but they keep telling me not to come back unless there stronger and harder because I'm not dilated enough. I don't know if I can do this the whole weekend.
I am so over being pregnant I just want to know some ways people induce themselves at home. I want to know about some methods that worked for them.
For the mommies that had to be induced could you please tell me what it is exactly and how did it go ? I was just told today by my doctor that I will have to be induced at 39wks due to my gestational diabetes nothing wrong with my baby but they just suggest I do it at 39 wks.
