I began what I presume to be my primary outbreak exactly two weeks ago (swab confirmed HSV2) I took Valtrex for 5 days and the sores healed in that time (7 days total). Since the sores have gone, i have been experiencing a strange soreness in my thighs and bum, like I've been sitting on a bench for too long. My vaginal area also still seems a bit more tender than usual. Is this normal, or is it psychological? If this does usually happen to people, what does it mean?

Development of skin sensitivity and slight burning sensation in T1 (armpit and down to forearm), and to T11-12 (flank at belt line) - resolved by day 6.

Boric acid is know to cause skin irritation. And Valtrex? Do you have herpes? Why were you given Valtrex? Can you try tucks wipes? You put them in your under pants and leave them there. It can be very soothing and healing. Witch hazel dabbed on the area? Other than that, you need to again go to your doctor fo diagnose what is going on. But more may not be better with all this stuff you are using on and off.
most folks who do, experience it initially when diagnosed and go on valtrex and are incredibly stressed. for most , it does come back. I do know of less than a handful of folks who experienced hair loss while on valtrex, they could find no other cause for it and even after stopping the valtrex the hair loss did not stop.
at this point continue to follow up on this with the dermatologist. they are your best bet.
Got sent home with scripts for lidocain ointment for pain, bacterum for the UTI, valtrex for the herpes and ibuprofen so I can sleep at night and it should clear up quickly. Glad I saw the doctor and thankfully they have a payment plan but the scripts are going to cost almost $200. $100 of that for the lidocain ointment alone. But on the up side it shouldn't take all of it so if this happens again will just have to get new scripts for the herpes.
acyclovir is 400mg 2x/day every single day. she will still get recurrences while on daily suppressive therapy regardless of if she's on acyclovir or valtrex, you just take acyclovir more often than you do valtrex.

I have a massive period ache , therefore I took 1100 mg of ibuprofen . At first I had taken 500 mg tablet but it's been an hour and a half and it did not help , so I took an other tablet of ibuprofen of 600 mg .
The pain is gone but I feel very tired , can I be harmed or die out of it ?

whenever i take even one 550mg (naproxen) ibuprofen and then drink, my stomach gets tender and bloated and i feel bad. i usually take a maalox or something like that, yet i never throw up from it so i don't know if that's applicable for you. i think it is due to the ibuprofen, but if you're not used to eating spicy foods then it could have disagreed with you, not necessarily meaning food poisoning. you should never drink and take NSAIDs at the same time.
After I posted this I talked to the hospital doc about my negativ test result. She didnt think Valtrex had interferred with the results. I have had "herpes symptoms" four months, taking Valtrex last four weeks.
Maybe I could have a new test taken in a couple of weeks when my system is clear of Valtrex? Just to be on the safe side?
Just no it is all too confusing. One doc says: HERPES! The other says: no this is not herpes.

Is it true you shouldn't take ibuprofen it can harm the baby? I just seen this today while doing research as to this is my first. i have been taking it before I found out I was thinking my period was coming and I've always had bad cramps so I know to start taking it before my period comes to help with the pain. Should I be worried that I've harmed the baby from taking it? I'm 5 weeks BTW.
