can you take ibuprofen and tylenol

I'm 6 weeks and having horrible headaches, back pain and cramping. I wanted to know what I can take and what works. I'm a little hesitant due to having a miscarriage and I just moved out of state and can't see a doctor until next week.

Acetaminophen is the only thing you can take that won't harm your baby.. it won't thin out your blood. I'd just stick to Tylenol.

You are able to take Tylenol pm jus dont take any other tylenol products with it.

My hepatologist told me to take Ibuprofen. Tylenol just didn't work on my headaches, so I was really glad that I could take the Ibuprofen... which is Advil... just cheaper. The most important thing is to watch the dose... only 2 every 6 hours.

Oh just re-read your question and honestly I don't know. I do know you can take ibuprofen while breastfeeding and you can take tylenol and ibuprofen together. So if you have ibuprofen I'd take that.

There is some indication that they might help the HCV to replicate more rapidly so its really best to limit them as much as you can, but some people can't. I've also got a chronic painful spinal condition and have required narcotics for years now, including while on triple tx with Incivek, and yet I did achieve SVR.

My doctor gave me a list of pain meds and stuff i can and cant take! Tylenol is on the side of cant take! Because it is asprin and asprin thins the blood and makes it harder for ur blood to clot! U could bleed out when in labor! Ibuprofen is on the can take side! I see a lot of post on here saying yes take tylenol ur doctors say its ok up to 1000mg. This is my 4th baby and every time my doctors have said no tylenol! Is my doctor wrong? Or is it a preference thing between doctors?

you can only take tylenol because the other ones like advil, asprin, and ibuprofen has blood thinners in it and doctors dont want you to take those because it thins the blood to the baby and they dont want that to happen. tylenol is the only thing just the normal strength though.

I read first trimester its a no no, and after that it should very limited. Im sure your dr wouldnt prescribe anything that would harm the baby. But i would ring your dr office and just double check.

No they say Tylenol is safe but not ibuprofen. If it hurts really bad call ur dr an he will give u something safe an stronger.

Hi there. Tylenol is what is recommended for pain and discomfort including cramps. Mayo Clinic suggests no more then 2,000 mg per day if you have liver disease which includes people with Hepatitis C. Tylenol is a better choice then pills containing ibuprofen such as Advil or Motrin. The only concern with Tylenol is that you do not want to have any form of alcohol in combination with this drug. As always with any pain meds, the less the better. ....Kim .
