Avatar f tn Is it ok to have sex when you got out off a hospital for hormone imbalance about 8 day and they put you on birth control or do you wait
Avatar n tn If you have a hormone imbalance, can it make your birth control less effective? I haven't been able to find much info on this but I suspect I have a hormonal imbalance due to the pill so I was wondering if that could mean the pill would be less effective against pregnancy.
Avatar n tn I am starting to think I may be suffering from a hormone imbalance as my symptoms seem to go when I start my period. I also suffer from inability to sleep, mood swings cyclical depression, facial hair, hot flushes as well as cold and irregular periods, I am now having 2 periods a month, one really light and short and one a week later that is pretty severe....

1134902 tn?1296066144 anywho my question is...could this be caused by a hormone imbalance brought on by my intense workout? even tho Im only spotting, Im still cramping. My family doc is booked up until the new year, so I can't see her anytime soon.
Avatar f tn m asking is that do any of you think that these symptoms could be caused by extreme hormone imbalance? No one has ever tested my hormones before. I find it weird that they all started almost a month to the day I quit birth control. Also, my period was never regular when I was younger, I matured late and would sometimes go 6 months without getting my period. I was also anorexic during high school which didn't help. But I am no longer and eat very healthy.
Avatar m tn I have been diagnosed with Meniere's because I had sudden hearing loss, tinnitus and an off balance feeling. I am fine with the hearing loss and tinnitus but the dizziness is so annoying. It seems to get worse while eating and shortly after, plus I will pass gas then feel better. Is there a relationship between the digestive system and being dizzy?
Avatar f tn Menopause causes the hot flashes, but the face tingling is definately a calcium imbalance, could be low, could be high....this also causes many other symptoms of pain and anxiety, nervous system, heart, bones, muscles, just about every system in the body runs on calcium, if that is out of whack, it makes you hurt really bad with many symptoms. Look at hypercalciema and hypocalcemia, also look at the cause, thyroid and parathyroid glands. Go www.parathyroid.
Avatar f tn In addition to Tinnitus, I occasionally feel a slight imbalance in my head through which I think is related to the frequent insomnia that I also suffer. When I lay down, I sometimes feel as though I am falling and a sense a physical insecurity in my arms that cause me to jerk from time to time. I have visited a Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist whom diagnosed Tinnitus though did nothing further despite describing my condition.
Avatar m tn Im not sure if im having ear infection and it feels like ear pressure imbalance, im not sure what is it called! I can balance my ear by swallowing to get a peep sound but then my right ear still blocking which i dont know why. when im talking to someone, i hear myself talking very softly its likes my voice being blocked by a wall. actually i talk really load. so in order to hear myself clearly, i have to raise my voice!. I hate this feeling.
Avatar m tn s male and over the past ten years have been tested and diagnosed several times with very high thyroid antibodies but the hormone levels were in the normal range so all they said is "let's keep an eye on it" The antibody count is 821, hormone levels fall either on the high end or the low end of normal parameters but still in the normal range. BUT, I do and have experience many (not all) of the symptoms of a slow or under productive thyroid similar to Hashimoto's.
Avatar m tn Tinnitus means an abnormal noise in the ear. Tinnitus sounds can include ringing, hissing, whistling, roaring, chirping, or screeching. My mother was suffering badly from tinnitus and by sheer luck she found relief with vitamin E supplements of all things. We decided to try vitamin E for better selenium absorption (for lowering TPO antibodies). I bought a bottle of Blackmore's vitamin E 1000IU from Woolworths. Cost about $8 on special at the time...not a bad price to get rid of tinnitus!
Avatar f tn Well, hormones are wacky so never say never but it is more likely a rapid weight gain. 20 pounds in 90 days is a lot very quickly. I would up the exercise and try to soothe yourself some way orally so you don't eat (gum, chew on straws, etc.). Congrats on being smoke free! AWESOME!!! That's not easy to do so good for you!
Avatar f tn What you are describing sounds so much like hormone imbalance. I know there is a blood test out there (hormone related) to see how close you are to menopause. I really feel for you so don't feel alone. I go through a lot of what you are describing and I know, in my case that it is my hormones.
Avatar f tn As I've mentioned in my previous post, I have the strong feeling that I have a hormone imbalance. For 3 years, I've been overemotional/irritable/nervous, have had light/skipped periods, persistent acne,(I'm 20 and I don't feel like this should be happening), and hot flashes. These problems have gotten progressively worse over the years. The problem is though, that I feel like I have the symptoms of both estrogen dominance and estrogen deficiency.
