I am starting to think I may be suffering from a hormone imbalance as my symptoms seem to go when I start my period. I also suffer from inability to sleep, mood swings cyclical depression, facial hair, hot flushes as well as cold and irregular periods, I am now having 2 periods a month, one really light and short and one a week later that is pretty severe....
HE SAID THAT I HAD A HORMONE IMBALANCE DUE TO STRESS........HE SAID THAT HE WAS POSITIVE OF THIS AND GAVE ME PROGESTERONE TO TAKE FOR FIVE DAYS........HE WAS RIGHT........EVERYTHING IS BACK ON TRACK AND I WAS CALM AFTER THAT.........WELL, MY DOCTOR WHO DID THE BLOOD WORK AND URINE TEST BEFORE THE OBGYN VISIT AND HORMONES, HAD HER RECEPTIONIST CALL ME AND SAY THAT MY BLOOD SUGAR WAS A LITTLE HIGH AND THAT THE DR. WAS PRESCRIBING 2 MEDICATIONS FOR ME......
m asking is that do any of you think that these symptoms could be caused by extreme hormone imbalance? No one has ever tested my hormones before. I find it weird that they all started almost a month to the day I quit birth control. Also, my period was never regular when I was younger, I matured late and would sometimes go 6 months without getting my period. I was also anorexic during high school which didn't help. But I am no longer and eat very healthy.

I suffered a m/c last month. I was supposed to have been 6 1/2 weeks but scan showed that baby had stopped developing soon after implantation. I bled for 8 days and had mild cramps on day 2. Very smiliar to a heavy period but with clots. HCG level was at 201 when had scan done and dropped to 4 within 10 days.
I am desperate to start ttc after I get my normal period which I'm hoping will come next week.
it is very possible ur cycle is just irregular due to hormone imbalance. discharge is normal providing it not foul smelling.
Brown discharge is often old blood but why would you be having this? Sometimes a hormone imbalance can cause brown spotting midcycle (as in too much progesterone) but it is odd that you have bright red blood after intercourse. It makes me think something could be amiss with your coil I really do think you need to see a doctor. By the way, could you be accidentally pregnant?
Maybe your GP should do a blood test to determine if you have a hormone imbalance causing the problem.

Well, hormones are wacky so never say never but it is more likely a rapid weight gain. 20 pounds in 90 days is a lot very quickly. I would up the exercise and try to soothe yourself some way orally so you don't eat (gum, chew on straws, etc.). Congrats on being smoke free! AWESOME!!! That's not easy to do so good for you!
