Any ideas are appreciated and thank you!
Avatar f tn Menopause causes the hot flashes, but the face tingling is definately a calcium imbalance, could be low, could be high....this also causes many other symptoms of pain and anxiety, nervous system, heart, bones, muscles, just about every system in the body runs on calcium, if that is out of whack, it makes you hurt really bad with many symptoms. Look at hypercalciema and hypocalcemia, also look at the cause, thyroid and parathyroid glands. Go www.parathyroid.

1139187 tn?1355710247 I'm sure you've done lots of research on your condition, just curious to know if you asked the specialist about the outcome if you have a thyroidectomy. Will it take away the tinnitus?? I copied and pasted this little bit of info for you, which you are more than likely aware of already. Hypothyroidism The thyroid gland, located in the neck, produces a hormone called thyroxine. A lack of thyroxine causes body tissues to become puffy.

Avatar f tn is, I'm afraid, not specific enough for anyone to get a good idea of what you are feeling. It could be the beginning of hormone imbalance, as that can cause anxiety. The dizziness could be low blood pressure, hypoglycemia (which also causes anxiety), or even just dehydration, or a need for a little more salt in your diet. You might ask your doctor for a blood workup; hormones and electrolytes, and especially iron. Low iron, common in women your age, can cause the symptoms you mention.
Avatar n tn This headache may be accompanied by various neurological symptoms such as dizziness, numbness, loss of vision, loss of hearing, tinnitus etc, all of which are temporary. The second most common symptom is visual defect, which you too have. Antianxiety medications are helping you somewhat; this again goes in favor of this problem. You need a prompt evaluation by a neurologist. Hypothyroidism, hypoparathyroidism, adrenal insufficiency are a few things I would recommend you get investigated for.

Avatar m tn I feel whole heartedly that when a person feels terrible with this type hormone imbalance we do need help with meds to control some of this stress, but our goal being on them should be short lived. I was on the meds way too long. It was a horrible withdrawal for me - even at tiny decreases. Still I was unbalanced with my condition while weening off the meds and it was he// - Seriously - we are all different.
Avatar f tn I would not jump to the conclusion that you have Hashi's just due to the TG ab test. When doing some quick searching I found that a small amount of TG ab in your blood may indicate issues other than Hashi's. In addition, about 90% of the time Hashi's will manifest as high TPO ab, which is not the case for you. Further, your FT4 is at only 21% of its range and your Free T3 is at 46% of its range, yet your TSH is only 1.05. The relatively low TSH is also not indicative of Hashi's.
Avatar m tn Another cause of tinnitus is presbycusis (hearing loss that occurs as people age). Hearing loss is the single most consistent factor in people with tinnitus. As a rule the tinnitus will occur at the same frequencies as the hearing loss. Tinnitus from prescription drugs and over the counter medications. Caffeine, stimulants that may cause the heart to beat faster. Many prescription medications list tinnitus as a side effect.

Avatar f tn If your diet has little or no red meat and/or you suffer heavy menstrual bleeding then this increases the likelihood that a dietary imbalance is causing the problem.
