Common Questions and Answers about Heartburn pregnancy alcohol

heartburn

Avatar f tn I assume you're trying to conceive? As for your symptoms, you wouldn't have them this early. It takes more than a few days for them to start, as implantation has to first occur. This doesn't happen until a week or so after conception occurs. Nerves/anxiety, as well as virus and illness can both cause nausea/vomiting. If pregnancy is suspected you shouldn't drink alcohol for any reason in any amount. You have the exact same odds as any other couple TTC, which would be around 20%.
Avatar f tn The heartburn is due to your muscles relaxing. There isn't much you can do except eat smaller more frequent meals and don't lie down after sleeping. Drink some milk when it gets bad. I have 6 weeks left and heartburn just hot me. I asked the midwife for remedies and she said there isn't anything effective. I guess it's just one of those pregnancy things we have to deal with.
Avatar f tn I drink every other day (vodka) have been for the last 6 months. I've always had heartburn and am constantly eating tums or taking Prilosec. This past week I've been vomiting everyday after drinking and have been vomiting acid. Last night was the worst. I woke up st 4am violently vomiting acid my throat and nose still hurts today. I did vomit what looked like blood, it also burned very basket when it came up.. also went through my nose. I took zofran an anti nausea pill to calm it down.
Avatar n tn Wow, you're lucky. Lol, if I tried eating that I'd get heartburn.. And my heartburn is horrible To begin with & my feet swell up badly anyway. Lol.
Avatar m tn While it was two years ago you spit up blood, since drinking alcohol gets you to vomiting again, apparently damage done by acid in your pregnancy is reactivated by alcohol coming in contact with those damaged tissues.
Avatar f tn If you could give up one pregnancy DO for one pregnancy DON'T what would it be? Example give up growing boobs for alcohol etc.....
Avatar f tn Watch what u eat, fried, spicy, citrus and caffeine are 4 of the 5 foods that can increase and bring on heartburn.
Avatar f tn I had this early in my pregnancy. Started and lasted my entire 2nd trimester. Doc kept telling me heartburn, even though it feels nothing like it, so I have been living on Zantac 75, twice a day. The pain eventually stopped and then the real heartburn took its place but the Zantac did wonders for me. Hope you feel better!
Avatar n tn I drank a lot of self made wine for several days (sometimes on empty stomach too) and one day, along with overeating with a lot of grilled and spicy food, I got this strong heartburn and burning sensation along my esophagus and stomach that lasted for three days (20th – 22nd of Jan). I stopped drinking and after that the heart burn was gone except for a strange feeling (like something is stuck in the throat/esophagus).
715930 tn?1338722436 hiya heartburn can affect you in different ways so it may just be that and maybe over the counter remedies are not working because it is too strong go to your doctor who can maybe give you some stronger medication to help with the symptoms your having. good luck hope you get it all sorted.
Avatar f tn i felt like a burning sensation in my chest and like a heavy feeling like i was going to be sick. it kind of felt like heartburn but i knew it wasnt? im so confused. ive a doctors appointment at the end of the month but its driving me crazy as to what it is. thanks.
Avatar f tn Hi Moms, I took a pregnancy test 3 days ago and guess what, it was positive! I've never been pregnant before and my first dr appt isn't until monday. I'm just curious if the symptoms i'm having are normal, and if I am approx 2 1/2 to 3 weeks late, how long have I been pregnant? I'm experiencing headaches, extreme fatigue, mood swings, cramps and hunger. Also a week ago today, my fiance and I went on a date and I had 4 alcoholic drinks, will my baby be okay?
Avatar f tn I have regular heartburn. Hoping baby has lots of hair. :) Chewing gum seems to help a bit. I need to to try club soda.
Avatar f tn Its fine with my first pregnancy there wasn't enough tapatio in the world to satisfy my craving for spicy foods. I even ate jalapeños...and before that I was someone that couldn't eat hot cheetos because they would make me choke! That kid had me dipping hot cheetos in tapatio as a midnight snack lmao!
Avatar f tn I was just going to ask my sister about this. I just finished a breakfast sandwich and took my vitamins, now I feel sick. I'm sitting here trying to see if it's the return of the infamous morning sickness, which I really hope not. I'm 30+1. Hope you feel better.
Avatar f tn Hi I am 35weeks pregnant and I have really bad heartburn at night time and every time I eat I feel so full that I can barely even move. I feel the baby moving really low in my pelvic area where I haven't felt him move since the beginning of my pregnancy. I toss and turn all night. Are any of these signs that I could have the baby early or is there anyway to tell?
Avatar m tn For a while, I experienced a heartburn/bloating sensation and was diagnosed with gastritis. That has dissipated except for after I have a few drinks, which I subsequently stopped doing. At this point, I feel soreness in my right ribcage, soreness/cramping beneath my ribcage on my far right side (not abdominal), and soreness in my mid-lower right back. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated; thanks.
Avatar f tn t suffer through this.
Avatar f tn There is no consensus in the medical community about how much, if any, alcohol is a safe during pregnancy. I miss it a lot but the reality is I have raging heartburn so booze would just make it worse anyway. I haven't had any alcohol since finding out I was pregnant and won't have any. Sigh.
Avatar n tn if what you asking is "could this be due to pregnancy" it's unlikely. heartburn in pregnancy is due to a number of things one being the size pf the pregnant uterus pushing the stomach and causing reflux. Also higher levels of progesterone during pregnancy cause acid reflux to occur. I feel this is too early to be pregnancy related. good luck.
Avatar f tn The only thing it might do is give you heartburn. Other then that your fine.
Avatar f tn Although they may not work for very long periods of time but your OB can recommend a medication that better suits your pregnancy. I had horrible heartburn in my last pregnancy, I would literally choke on pure acid (very gross, I know!) But after I delivered..I had sudden abdominal pain. I ended up having severe gallbladder stones and had my gallbladder removed the next day.
Avatar f tn Well, yes, it's possible that you saw evap lines. The thing is, constipation, more frequent urination, heartburn, severe cramping, and extra discharge aren't symptoms of a healthy early pregnancy. Constipation, frequent urination and heartburn are symptoms of late pregnancy, caused by the size of the baby pressing on your organs. Severe cramping indicates you may have a period on the way that is a little late, and heavy.
