heartburn and nuts

This acid in my stomach is unbelieveable.. I already had acid reflux before pregnancy it just wasn't that bad. Now I'm 17 w 4d and I'm going NUTS. It literally gives me chest pain. I'm taking prilosec and tums and it's still horrible!! Even tried milk. Nothing helps it :( boo.

I had bad heartburn too. I went in for my 35 weeks Ultrasound and the tech told me my baby got hair. Lol.

I'm in the same boat but my gagging is caused by the burping that heartburn gives me!

it drives me nuts. Tums barely work and I can feel the nasty burning in my stomach too it's awful!

If you have heart burn and are hungry you could try making a glass of hot milk, chocolate or tea. I find the heat of the drink calms my heartburn and fills me up a bit. If you have any biscuits or cookies try have them at the same time.

It doesnt matter if I eat alot or nothing, early or late heartburn is part of my life lol. Tums have really been a lifesaver. I love milk and drink alot daily but it doesnt help my heartburn anymore. My cousin had to take meds because her heartburn would wake her up and make her throw up...thankfully I just eat 3 before I lay down and usually 2 more throughout night..

Is there anyone else experiencing heartburn? I've never had it before now and I'm a little over 5.5 months along. Is there anything that I could take for it?

Operation was 16 months ago and recently I've been experiencing severe cramps in bladder area. So bad it hurts to sit, walk lie down etc. Doctor said it could be a kidney stone but X-ray doesn't show any. Asked about cancer since I get heartburn almost every day, but PSA comes up as 0.01 so I'm told I have no cancer. Doctor then states it's due to reconstruction, but why after 16 months would this now occur?

I am 8 weeks and my tummy is so uncomfortable all the time. Very acidic plus heartburn. I frequently get gastric problems before pregnancy but now that I am, it got worst! I have to eat something every 2 hours or else I will feel like vomiting. Anyone experiencing the same problems? Any advise on what I should eat so my tummy doesn't feel so sore and burning all the time?

Ok, so enough of my medical sob story!! I just wanted to say that heartburn during pregnancy and that meaning your baby will have lots of hair is a total old wives tale! :-). I have 5 healthy children/adult children lol, suffered from horrible pregnancy heartburn and ALL FIVE OF MY BABIES WERE BALDER THEN DADDY WARBUCKS LOL!!!!! Just thought I would through that out there!! Drives me nuts that people actually still believe this because no one is correcting them!!

m not sleeping well. My advice is to keep some snacks by the bed. I keep a little pot of nuts and some dried fruit by the bed so I can have a nibble at night when my tummy growls. It's not just the hunger that annoys me, it's the fact I feel sick if I don't eat!

I actually got online to try and find out why it has started this and found your question. My gallbladder has been out for 40 years and the indigestion just started a couple years ago.

I dont want to go to the hospital because I've been like 5 times and theyre going to look at me like I'm nuts but my contractions hurt so bad. I'm having diarrhea and really bad heartburn. My lower back is killing me and I feel really nauseous. I dont know what to do because I dont want to be sent home again and the doctors thinking I'm nuts for going in. I'm in so much pain and I wish to get induced but my doctor wont let me.

your doctor can give you tests to see what is causing the problem and stay away from nuts, fish,eggs and hair dye until you have been to see the doctor because they are the main cause of the worst reactions.Hope you get it sorted soon i know haw you feel take care.

I was taking these for 3 days and the hives and heartburn have gone away. Every now and then I can feel the heartburn and I resume the meds. I do not take them everyday now because I do not want my body to get use to the meds. And I also avoid foods, drinks and other products that contain sulfites.

1st of all..is heartburn and acid reflux the same thing? I've never experienced it before..how do I know if this is what's going on? What are the symptoms..I just have a lot of "discomfort" in my chest and throat mainly after I eat...

Hi can you please help me, I have been having a racing pulse almost every night, often as I just start to doze off my pulse begins to race and wakes me up to a feeling of impending doom. I even sometimes wake up hours after falling asleep to a very rapid pulse, but it always settles back down to normal within a few minutes of waking up and catching my breath.

In 2004 I had a Nissen done which resolved my heartburn issue and I no longer had to take any heartburn meds. I did however have a lot of trouble with stomach pain and bloating with every meal I ate. Over a period of 6 months I lost over 45 lbs. In 2005 I had the Nissen stretched and was finally able to get some relief and life was good. I also suffer from migraine headaches and with migraines comes the gut wrenching dry heaves.
