This is my first pregnancy and I'm 13 weeks along.... What can I do for hiccups, heartburn, and constipation? I constantly get it and sometimes it's the worst. Is there anything I can take or do to calm it? Please help!!!
I have random hiccups threw the day. They happen randomly and at all times of day, they are loud and sometimes painful and I've had them as long as I can remember. I also have heartburn nearly daily and have been diagnosed with depression and an anxiety disorder if that helps. Any ideas ?
m on baby number 4 and have had heartburn everytime and 3 kids were all bald as bald can be and we are guessing this one will be too lol. So I'm with this is false!!! and plus I just finished nursing school and they teach you this rumor is false. You have a 50-50 chance your baby will have hair.. There is nothing else to it..
I have never heard that. My first daughter would get them a couple times a day and she has never once had a problem with heartburn/acid reflux and she's 9. Hiccups are usually caused by the baby practicing breathing and swallowing the amniotic fluid. I wouldn't worry about it.
He has heartburn and hiccups often, as well (not suure if hiccups are any relevant, but ah well). He experiences a frequent need to urinate (3 times in an hour today, for example), even though he doesn't consume a lot of liquids. He has redness and sometimes soreness of his penis tip. I think he often gets hypoglycemia, though eating sweets when he gets so nauseous doesn't really help much.
Currently 35 weeks and can no longer enjoy eating. Everytime I eat baby girl gets the hiccups and it irrates me and makes me start feeling sick and if she don't have hiccups she starts moving like crazy and moves up and down, kicking my ribs, my hip bones, and bouncing on my bladder. I hate it because I get so hungry and I can never enjoy my food anymore. Just can't wait to have my baby girl already and my body back. Sorry just needed to vent a little. Any other moms feeling the same?
At random points through out the day the sharp pain comes on and off on my left side of chest right near my rib cage and also on and off the same pain in between my belly button
Also, you have noted hiccups and some heartburn. At this point, we can not exactly tell what this is but hiccups and heartburns would need further evaluation. I suggest you seek consult with an internist for a complete physical examination. This burning sensation may be nerve related as it follows a particular pattern. A complete medical history, neurologic examination and blood tests will help rule out other conditions .Evaluation of cardiac function may be necessary.

My last two pregnancys towards the end my two always had hiccups, never any concern so wouldn't worry. Spoke to my doc and midwife about it and they said it was fine and just happens more to some than others! So don't worry.
Have been belching for some time now. I am not on any medications. Belching is a mix between hiccups and belching. All my blood-work (LFTs, CBC/RBC/WBC) comes back normal, except for slightly low platelets. I have petechiae (ie little burst capillaries) all over my chest and back - and getting new ones every couple days. I would think this was just because of low platelets, but this is a recent onset and I've had low blood platelets for as long as I can remember.
Doctors look at me like im nuts and they have tried heartburn medications which have done nothing and other than that they just tell me i have the hiccups and thats that. I did go to a gastroenterologist when i was in high school (im 22 now) for a dairy allergy that seemingly pooped out of nowhere (im good as long as i don't over indulge). Also. since the hiccups started...i've developed migraines and have never had a history of even having headaches.
i think that may be what i am experiancing at nights, last night was terrible. i felt like a burning sensation in my chest and like a heavy feeling like i was going to be sick. it kind of felt like heartburn but i knew it wasnt? im so confused. ive a doctors appointment at the end of the month but its driving me crazy as to what it is. thanks.
+) whereas kicks might feel a bit more random :+) I felt hiccups at 23+1 but some mums don't feel hiccups until 30+ weeks :+)
I know this might sound odd but, 2-3 dpo all of my finger tips felt so sore. Almost like I had ingrown nails I'm all of my fingers! Lol.
Onto the normal symptoms I have is nausea, cramping, heartburn, crying spells, dizziness, food cravings, vivid dreams, Headaches, aching hips, aching back and if course the wonderful extremely sore breast and nipples. It was to the point where I can not face the shower head because whatever touches my breast it hurts! My poor husband.
