I've always wanted to live in Canada :( It's now "illegal" in the U.S. to not have health insurance so if you can't afford insurance they fine you or something, IDK.

I would definetly call and talk to someone over the phone - emails are so easy to ignore, or be put off on answering.
Hardly makes sense that you're making too much money for them... They should have called you to discuss what was happening.
I don't have any experience with America. insurance, mind you. But I swear our health system in Canada isn't any better :( (Like deciding I don't exist after living in the same province for 30 years!

I believe she is talking about National Health System, which I know they have in Canada. Everyone in Canada has health insurance, when in turn makes everything up there, terribly expensive, to help pay for national health care.
I am told that the health care up there is pretty good. But my girl friend tells me that she practically pays double for everythiing, as compared to the United States. It is NOT welfare insurance, by the way.
I am also from Canada. We have universal health care - health care available to all who require it. You need to go to your family doctor and have him/her refer you to a mental health specialist. I'm wondering - are you a Canadian citizen with a valid health card? If not, I'm not sure of the procedure.
Like someone else said , the ONLY way to know how your insurance works and what is covered is to call your insurance and ask about your specific policy. I worked for a major health insurance company for years and the biggest mistake you can make is not calling them in advance. I also recommend finding out what options you have for permanent coverage for your baby.
Hi, I just found out I do not have health insurance. We thought it would be until the end of the month but it's already done. I wad still under my moms plan and she was laid off last month. Well I had medical assistance through the state my last pregnancy but they dropped me when she was a month old because of my fiance's income. My daughter still has medical assistance.
