If you're in the USA than I believe by law, health insurance must cover pregnancy appointments and delivery. It doesn't matter if your on your parents insurance or not. Now, how much they pay could be iffy so you're best bet is to call or ask your mom to call. One thing to think about, grandchildren cannot be extended on to the grandparents health insurance most of the time.
now if you are accepting a job then there is no need, in my opinion , to get your own insurance since most companies offer insurance benifits to their employees and with a group insurance there is no such thing as pre-exisiting . everyone accepted . so i would wait and get my insurance through work if i were you.
I live in the us but my Dad's side of the family is from the uk. While my great aunt was visiting, she asked about the dentists office over here and if we had to pay for them. She looked flabbergasted when we said yes. She told us that in England she walks in, gets whatever she needs done, signs some paperwork, and walks right out.
She also happens to be a nurse and gave me some medical advice on health issues I was having at the time. I was lucky.
As far as I know, there is no way for her to obtain health insurance if she is not a US citizen; she will have to pay out of pocket for her health care. Even some US citizens/Americans are having a difficult time getting healthcare coverage. She can see any physician she wants, but will have to pay the costs herself.

In fact, more than 26,000 Americans died prematurely in 2010 because they lacked health insurance, according to a recent report by Families USA...How is it even possible to come up with this stat? So they have to intrview a family member who says, "he/she didn't go to the Dr because they didn't have insurance." People are unreliable.

So my brother in law sends me some canned crap about health care. Him being a senior citizen, the future of health care means a lot to him. Since he can't make heads or tails out of Universal Health Care, he's taken to trying to find everything he can regarding universal health care.
The email he sent me had statistics on hip replacement, cancer survival, cancer treatments and how many MRI machines per 1000 people in each country.
well i know what its like to have no resources and need help. in addition to the fantastic info the above person gave you. you can always talk to people to. funny coming from me as i usually keep it to myself and suffer in silence . but im trying to change that and talking to like minded people. so in short if you need to talk please feel free to do so .. :)

Pregnancy is not a pre existing condition. If you get married today, for example, you can immediately have your husband call up to add you to his insurance. It's considered a life change event. Additionally, if you chose to go through Obamacare...it would also be considered a lifr change event as your mother has lost her source of employment.
Sooooo Medicaid denied me and told me to reapply! And husbands insurance wont give me coverage because pregnancy is a preexisting condition. And he tried to work it to where it would cover my bills under His name but hey, being an expectant father is a preexisting condition, too! So I'm reapplying for Medicaid and until they freaking approve me I am going to get my routine checkups at the freaking health department!

Now the only way to know exactly what is covered is to call the insurance company. If you are on the policy they will give you information about your benefits. They can tell you what is covered and how much for both you and your baby. You really should call as soon as you can.
