Hard lump above stomach

Common Questions and Answers about Hard lump above stomach

lump

Hello, Any clues? I have a lump on my stomach, 3" down from my right bottom rib, and about 2" over to the right from the center(solar plexus) It hurts when prodded, and feels like a section of a finger under my skin. Hernia-I lift very heavy weight still(weight trainer) no pain at all. Tumor-no idea at all. Fat lump-then why does it hurt? I urinate a lot, though I am also an avid tea drinker. Sometimes it seems to hurt a little when I dont drink enough, or indeed dont eat.
Right next to my right leg, where it goes from leg to vulva to lower stomach is an inch long, hard, pink lump. It really hurts when it's touched and it is really noticeable (it is like a small grape). I've never had sex or been touched sexually. I got a new boyfriend 4 weeks ago (he was 21 and I am 17) and he gave me mono. I'm worrying if this is something serious, or if it's just a really weird side effect of my period (but this has never happened before on any period).
I have sharp pains and a small lump about 2 inches directly above my belly button. the pains are so bad i can't sleep. food soothes them very briefly but then they return. what could this be?
It is a little soft but still hard. I also have a hard bump on the back of my skull/above my neck. I've had these for like years now...I'm not worried though.
I found a lump above my belly button last year which is long and hard. I went to my doctor and he sent me for a cat scan with contrast which showed nothing. I can feel it more when I'm standing. Now I'm starting to have these symptoms, loose stools, pain and loss of appetite. My mother had ovarian cancer and I'm scared to death this is what I have, I made an appointment with the doctor for next week. I'm 46 and very anxious about this, I haven't been sleeping or eating much.
After an xray this tooth showed to have a cyst to the side of the tooth, which he said was unusual, however, above the tooth next to it was a lump. Dentist said he didn't know what the lump above the other tooth was. He is referring me to Oral spec. but as routine appt (so could be a good 6-8 months wait!). I've got to get the bad tooth refilled and crowned over the next few months, dentist said he would keep an eye on the lumps for me whilst I wait for the appt.
I have had a very hard lump on the right side of my abdomen that I have noticed twice now. The first time was about a month ago, and I am not sure if it has been there this whole time, because I didn't think much about it at that time, and I can only feel it when I am laying down on my left side. The second time I noticed it was on the night of the 21st, and the lump has not moved or changed in size since that night.
For the last two months, I've had a hard lump along the upper hairline, that is about the size of a golf ball. Originally I thought nothing of it, thought it was just some fatty tissue or something as a result of scarring from c-section/tummy tuck, but those were both 8+ years ago. Now it's becoming a little bothersome when pressing on it and possibly with intercourse.
this lump is not connected to his penis but above by his stomach. when he is standing i can move th lump and it is no attched to the peins or stomach it hangs down on both sides of penis they are about the size of a golf ball and don't seem to bother him if i touch them. they are soft and moveable. no redness of skin, no fever eating and drinking fine. no problem with bathroom duties either. What could this lump be? just found today.
We checked and there was nothing that we could see, but she was constantly licking her lips/paws/floor, swallowing hard (u could feel it in her stomach) and her throat seems to almost have a swollen lump in it....it probably lasted 10 minutes, after she had a drink of water everything was fine.
I thought it could be fluid retention or maybe I had lifted something too heavy (although I knew I hadn't) and would be gone in a day. Anyway, my stomach has gone down a bit and it isn't as hard but the centre 4" of my scar (scar is above bellybutton to pelvis) is still quite painful and it's hard to the touch. I'm back to being aware of all movements, 'setting' when I sit down and I'm very aware of my clothes touching the scar. Otherwise I feel fine.
Hello, For the past two weeks i've had the part under my bellybutton hard. From time to time If I press on my right side I feel this lump that moves but then disappears. Two weeks ago I had my period which was extremely light and brown. Throughout these two weeks I've only had around two bowel movements. I also took two pregnancy tests in case it was a pregnancy but they both were negative. What could this be?
About three days ago I had protected sex with a woman, and now about three or four inches above my penis area, I have a hard lump that is pretty sore. I popped it, and some puss came out. Does this sound like an std or more like a cyst or something like that? thanks.
I'm not sure what it could be but a couple of months ago i noticed a lump in the center of my ribs. About 2 inchs above my navel. It is about the size of a racket ball and hard. I have no soreness but i have been feeling faint and bruising very easy. My bowels are sometimes dark tar like bowels. If anyone has experienced this please tell. I don't feel it is a hiatal hernia but i'm not sure.
I am 24 years old and really worried about my health and I do not feel my doctor is helping me. I am previously taking prilosec and I still feel bad. My stomach is hard and inlarged. Is that normal? I am not over weight but I do smoke. Should I get a second oppinion?
For sometime now ive had this lump on my lower right side of my stomach, just above my vagina and a little in from my hip bone.It has not been painful. Sometimes i experience sharps pains up my upper right side. Its not a soft lump, its rather hard..kind of like a muscle feeling? If that makes sense. When I stand up and look down the right side of my lower tummy is a little higher then my left.
Hi dgehrman, I have the exact same symptoms you describe - a fairly hard lump directly below my sternum, very slight or no pain. I was just wondering if you had been to a doctor and had any info about the condition. If you have, please email me at ***@**** FYI, I found your posting by Googling "lump below sternum." Thanks!
Reading about your experience does make me feel better. The incision in question is one-inch-long and the protruding lump above it makes it look like I have a second belly button! Lovely, no? The lump is longer than the incision and protrudes almost an inch beyond my normal stomach line. The protrusion is not even - it extends outward more on the left side than the right. It's also pretty hard. I just hope I'm not developing nasty scar tissue that will require surgery.
They can wax and wane a little, but what you say seems to be much more than that. If the node above the collarbone is on the left side, that's "Virchow's node" which most of the upper body drains through. Were you scanned to look for anything in the chest or abdomen?
I have lost weight recently and noticed the lump, but also I have noticed a lump in the upper part of my stomach, which probably has me worried more. I don't know if this is related, but it is making me look like I am pregnant. I just wonder if any or all of this chest and stomach stuff is related? Let me know if anyone has any insight on this.
but recently it comes and goes and iv had a feel round my belly and theres a hard lump on the left side just an inch above my pelvis bone, i am very worried what it could be any ideas to put my mind at rest? i did have a small lump that slightly moved but i cant find it today, this mass of a lump above the bone slitly moves but not much. silly question but can you feel your own organs on your left side was thinking it could be that??
I had a very similar lump to the ones some of you are describing, a small marble sized lump, not terribly hard, but firm, on the left side, on the edge of my hairline, and tender to the touch. I went to the doctor, and very quickly she knew what it was. It turned out that I had another bump about five inches above the lower one which was only noticable if I layed with my left foot resting on my right knee. She diagnosed it as Folliculitis.
Hi, I've already seen previous posts about a lump forming under bruising and I would like to know if mine is most likely the same thing. It is a very hard lump that formed under the skin but there is no discoloration on the skin right above it. There is bruising but it is on the skin next to the lump, not over it. The bruise is on my stomach, I fell and landed with all of my weight on a pole. Is this the same thing/ nothing to worry about?
6 months ago tested again and test was negative, but stomach and duodenum is still inflammed.Treatment with Prilosec or Prevacid doesn't help much.I have stomach uncomfort every day and I fell sick in my stomach.I have feeling that food is sitting in the stomach for a long time and there is nothing to digest the food.Once I tried vinegar and I felt better in a second, but because of stomach inflammation it irritates the lining.Could I have low acid instead of too much acid?
Hi. Since April I have had pain above my left breast. It's not constantly there, but it comes and goes. Sometimes it feels like a burning pain, other times it feels like a cramp. I've also felt it in my armpit at times and it will also creep up over my shoulder. Although I VERY RARELY feel it on the right side, it DOES happen once in awhile. But for the most part it's been my left side.
Smoking, alcohol use, gastritis, acidity, tumors of stomach and food pipe, bleeding gastric ulcer, cancer of stomach, erosion of lining of food pipe, bleeding veins at esophageal (food pipe) sphincters etc all cause vomiting of blood. This can be fresh red if coming from a place above the stomach. It can be brown or coffee colored if coming from the stomach.
Last night I noticed a lump on the back of my neck, on the right side, at the base of my skull. It's about the size of a penny and doesn't seem to be moving around or anything. It isn't real painful, only if I poke at it. I haven't had any visual issues, nor terrible headaches or nausea or anything. I had my family and a couple friends feel it and they all said it feels like a tension knot.
It all depends on how much discomfort this is causing you but if your piece isn't getting any smaller, can still get hard, isn't causing you pain and you don't have any bother urinating then, evne though what you describe isn't normal, it might not be anything to worry about. That said, I'm not going to tell anyone how to feel about this or any other medical condition.
