Can I take both 20mg fluoxetine and 25 mg amytriptyline to help with my depression. I'"ve taken both seperately without any problems I had an ECG when I was taking 100mg amytriptyline and no probelms excerpt hypertension with the amytriptyline (I take 10mg of atenolol daily and have done for some time) On Fluoxetine my BP is 120/80 - just wondered if I can combine safely the drugs smller dosage for my dysthmia.

I cannot seem to kick the Daytime sleepiness. I am taking 40 mg, fluoxetine, 150 bupropion. When I was on the bupropion with lamictal it seemed like I had less of this sleepiness. Is there a possibility that lamictal may help? Anyone with experience on this? Should I up the fluoxetine, up the bupropion, switch bupropion for lamictal , add lamictal, up bupropion? Thoughts?

I experiended severe nausea and no appetite. 6 weeks later, I still have nausea from the Fluoxetine. Fluoxetine is generic Prozac. I've been on it a few times, and I'm back on it again. It will take 4-6 weeks before you begin to feel a difference (sometimes sooner). But it will happen. The only side effect I've ever had from it was insomnia, but that always goes away in a few weeks, so give it some time. we just started the lexapro slowly as i slowly decreased the fluoxetine. fluoxetine stays in your body for several weeks, so withdrawal effects are less likely (and/or less severe) than with other SSRIs. i would speak to your dr. about a slow transition from one med to the other... or give the buspirone a try. buspirone is supposed to be similar to valium in terms of it's anti-anxiety properties. so if you are having trouble with anxiety or panic, this might be a good combination for you.

i am taking 80 mg fluoxetine plus 45 - 60 mg buspirone and i was wondering if there is reason for concern about serotonin syndrome with such a cocktail at those dosages. if it's a bad idea to be taking so much of the both of them, it's not necessarily a big deal for me to d/c them as i still lay in bed all day! -- but what's next? thanks...

I have been on40Mg of fluoxetine for several years . My doctor started me on 30 Mg of cymbalta which has progressed to 60 mg per day. I think it has helped but am experiencing some dizziness. Is it a drug interaction?

d like to make the switch from this effete, ersatz, generic fluoxetine 80 mg/day to Vivactil (brand only, not the generic protriptyline), because the change can take place almost as once -- no washout periods to disable my functioning completely that I have read about, yet. My Fluoxetine was increased from 40 mg to 60 mg two weeks ago because I was still have panic attacks and a nervous feeling in my stomach. So now I have been taking Fluoxetine for 8 weeks total. Since the increased dose I have noticed for the past four days that I get a shivering feeling inside. I know that sounds weird, but that's the best way I can describe it. Hi, I've been on levothyroxine since July, the smallest dosage. I'm also taking 20 mg of fluoxetine. The past few years I've been very tired (which I contribute somewhat to the fluoxetine and is normal), and my memory seems to be declining (way before I started taking the fluoxetine). I am only 22 years old, so I'm HOPING it is due to the hypothyroidism. My question is if this is a possibility or not? I have trouble concentrating, but I'm pretty sure it's not ADD or ADHD.

does anyone know if 3 or 4 grams of Fish Oil per day plus 50 mg of Toprol would cause my heart rate to bottom out even more? I think I read somewhere where fish oil can enhance the effects of toprol. I was on 20mg of Fluoxetine but it wasn't making me feel any better so I got put on 50 mg of Sertraline. On the packet it says that I have to increase to taking two tablets after two weeks of taking one. Even though I'm only taking one, I still feel extremely tired and I've begun sleeping much more than I should and it's made me late for college (I'm 17). If this is the case, should I still increase it to two tablets? Thanks!
