Common Questions and Answers about Fingernail jammed

nail

while playing basketball many years ago i jammed my right ring finger on the last joint closest to the fingernail. the joint became crooked so that the end of my ring finger is always crooked downward. i saw a physician who put it in a straightening device to keep it straight for weeks. however once i took it out it was still crooked. i was only about 14 years old at the time and didnt really care because there was no pain so i just lived with it.
About 3 months ago, I jammed something under my nail on my pointer finger. At first it was just a red mark beneath the nail, but it started to "grow" and became a large squishy blister like thing protruding from beneath the nail. It burst at one point, and bled for HOURS before I got it to stop. I went to my general doctor to have it looked at and they said it was just a blood blister and would heal on its own.... BUT it has been months since then and it has not healed at all.
Days in both Kazakhstan and London were jammed packed with meetings, dinners, and post-dinner parties, and I was hit with jet lag more than normal. I have to go on these trips twice or three times a year. They are typically for a month, not a week and a half, and so this was more jammed packed than usual. Kind of stressful. Came back to the States on the 21st. Slept most of the day on the 22nd due to jet lag, but went out to a movie with a friend and felt fine.
fib episode was when a paring knife I was using slipped and jammed through my fingernail. I could instantly tell that my heart had gone into arrhythmia. In the hospital, I asked my doctor about any connections to the Alleve, but he didn't think there was anything to it. Nevertheless, I have had some medication sensitivities in the past that don't "fit" the normal stats, and I was'nt totally convinced. I laid off of ALL bed time drugs for a month.

While i was looking at it i thought that i saw my finger nail bent so thats where i thought the blood came from, from under my nail and i must have jammed it while i was playing ball. So without thinking i put my nail to my mouth and bit off the nail. Now i am scared that it could have been someone elses blood. I didnt see anyone else out there bleeding or anything but i am a natural worrier.
His cousin didn't feel this was right, despite all the scans and brain specialists confirming this, and used a sharp object to scrap the bottom of the foot. There was a reflex reaction. He then jammed the sharp object under his finger nails to get a reaction and the hand moved. Because of this, the family postponed the autopsy.
When I push on the top of my left big toe (especially with a fingernail), I get always an electric shock in my left elbow and hand (two different spots). I am not certain, but I think these are examples of ephaptic transmission of nerve signals--"crossed wires." I suspect your "ear-to-ear" connection is something similar. Have you seen a neurologist?
my baby jammed a finger into my nostril and cut me with a fingernail and I bled. I didn't see any blood on the finger, but it was probably still there. Where do baby's hands always go? That hand was in the mouth before I knew it--and I didn't have a clue as to my possibility of infection then. I will forever be remorseful. Please let me be HIV negative...
