This started when I had my thyroid remove due to cancer. All my bloodwork, which is done every 6 weeks, comes back normal. I have no heart problems, no ashma or lung problems. I have asked all my doctors but nobody can tell me why this is happening or what can be done about it. What next?
firstly, most likely it is not cancer but rather a "mucocele", which is basically a saliva filled bubble. they are common. If you get another one, go to your dentist and have him or her look at it if not for anything else than to reassure you. secondly, contemplate how scared you are about cancer, and think about this--- smoking kills people. it gives people lung cancer. when you are given a diagnosis of lung cancer, you're most often dead within a few years, if not months.

They are fixed in place and can not be easily rubbed off or scraped with a fingernail. They seem only slightly raised - like a scab - but are obviously better attached. I have picked at 2 of them with tweezers and scraped them off with minimal bleeding (seems like a black scab when off) After a few days, the skin seems to return to normal. If it were serious, would the black return or could something just be happening under the skin now?

On 05-10-10 I had oral sex with a girl. By Monday 05-17-10 my throat began to feel very sore (but it was a different sore than I had ever felt before). I scratched it using my fingernails and i noticed the pimple rash had a blood (red but the blood did not went outside the body) and i checked the fingernail that i used there is no visible blood also...

1. If the technician have a dried blood in my car and my fingernail hit or touches the blood and used the same fingernail to scratch my pimple rash...Do you think this is hcv transmission?

Could this be a type of fingernail material growing from the scalp? The physical consistency of this 'hair' strongly resembles that of a fingernail. Extensive searching the net has found nothing. Am I at risk of any serious disease if I get a very mild scratch from some other man's fingernail? This happened to me a few days back while travelling in a train. Since then, I have been thinking about it and it has been causing me a lot of anxiety. Any help would be extremely appreciated.

About two months ago my fingernail developed a black mark near the nailbed. It has since continued up toward the top of the nail while changing brownish now puple with the uppermost tip is turning white. I have an appointment in October.It doesn't hurt and does not appear to look fungal according to my doctor. Is October to long to wait? I read that melanoma can develop under the nail.
My question is if the wetness I felt on the door handle had been blood and it had gotten on my fingertips and nails and had been wet hiv blood and it got on the fingernail that I punctured and cut my chin with could I have gotten hiv from my fingernail with wet hiv blood puncturing and cutting my chin? ve had this happen to me more than once) Any serious crunching to the nail on your finger will cause this to happen - the bruising underneath the nail is what causes it to fall off, and the bump in the middle of where the nail used to be is actually the new fingernail growing back.
There are also various rheumatological diseases that can present with fingernail symptoms, and if suspected, various anti-antibody tests can be done as well as a referral to a rheumatologist.

At the top of the fingernail, where it grows out fron the finger, is a small semi-circle of white then the rest of the finger nail is pinkish. Prior to moving to where I now live my nails all had this little area now 3 years later only my thumbs do. Can anyone tell me if this is something to be concerned about? Thanks for any help!!
If I need part of my fingernail removed due to ingrown fingernai, will a doctor use novacaine. The podiatrist did do that when I needed an ingrown toenail removed. Will a dermatologist do the same?
