that is, until I clipped it off with fingernail clippers (I cut deep enough to make it bleed) and then applied generic super-glue to the site, re-applying it everyday to ensure a good seal. I know super-glue has arsenic in it, but from what I understand it will only hurt you if you apply it to a really deep wound where the arsenic can get into your blood stream in appreciable amounts.
I drink a lot of water. I talk all day as I am a teacher; it tends to feel like glue inside my mouth at times. I can scrape it out with my fingernail but it just comes back a few hours later. Now my tongue feels rough in the back and up against my palate. Please help! I'm not sure even what kind of doctor I should be seeing for this as both my family doc and dentist can not help.

I also am not sure if everyone will get glue and sterri strips as opposed to staples and stitches....but bcuz I have EDS which causes my skin to be fragile I had the glue.

Does herpes whitlow cause pain under the fingernail and forearm? I've heard of the tingling and burning, I'm not feeling either but I'm feeling numbness under the fingernail and forearm? I did use the bathroom and with the same hand I pulled up my zipper and then in seconds used the underneath of my fingernail very firmly to secure it without washing my hands, very paranoid I spread the virus to my zipper then to the underneath of my fingernail.
I scratched it using my fingernails and i noticed the pimple rash had a blood (red but the blood did not went outside the body) and i checked the fingernail that i used there is no visible blood also...

1. If the technician have a dried blood in my car and my fingernail hit or touches the blood and used the same fingernail to scratch my pimple rash...Do you think this is hcv transmission?

Could this be a type of fingernail material growing from the scalp? The physical consistency of this 'hair' strongly resembles that of a fingernail. Extensive searching the net has found nothing. Surely my daughter is not the only case like this. I read about keratin, but it seems the keratin in hair and nails is the same.
My procelain veneer broke a couple months ago and I've been keeping it together with Krazy Glue. Unfortunately, the glue doesn't hold up long. Sometimes the bond hold for a week....sometimes an hour. I'm tired of gluing my tooth on every morning. I am looking for a recommendation for an adhesive or glue that I can use.

Actually they do use glue, it's called dermabond (medical super glue). If it's your first or second cesarean delivery they may use dermabond and disposable sutures. If your like myself and are expecting your 7th cesarean delivery then they will use a little butt of dermabond, disposable sutures and staples. Dermabond is extremely successful in closing incisions safely there are cases of it causing an allergic reaction but never that it separates or losses it's strength!!

Am I at risk of any serious disease if I get a very mild scratch from some other man's fingernail? This happened to me a few days back while travelling in a train. Since then, I have been thinking about it and it has been causing me a lot of anxiety. Any help would be extremely appreciated.

About two months ago my fingernail developed a black mark near the nailbed. It has since continued up toward the top of the nail while changing brownish now puple with the uppermost tip is turning white. I have an appointment in October.It doesn't hurt and does not appear to look fungal according to my doctor. Is October to long to wait? I read that melanoma can develop under the nail.
My question is if the wetness I felt on the door handle had been blood and it had gotten on my fingertips and nails and had been wet hiv blood and it got on the fingernail that I punctured and cut my chin with could I have gotten hiv from my fingernail with wet hiv blood puncturing and cutting my chin? ve had this happen to me more than once) Any serious crunching to the nail on your finger will cause this to happen - the bruising underneath the nail is what causes it to fall off, and the bump in the middle of where the nail used to be is actually the new fingernail growing back.
There are also various rheumatological diseases that can present with fingernail symptoms, and if suspected, various anti-antibody tests can be done as well as a referral to a rheumatologist.
