finger pain from typing

So, I've been having some annoying pain in my right ring finger on the under side. I want to say it feels like a really bad paper cut or being poked with a ton of little needles. I don't know if I did anything to it, it tends to hurt more with use, but only on the underside.

When I was 7 or 8 years old I had surgery on my ring finger for trigger finger. I am 27 now and in the past year I have noticed that the same finger is becoming stiff. Today it caused me pain all day and its difficult for me to even type with it. Its stiff and kind of wants to naturally bend, but there is no clicking or popping. Is my trigger finger coming back or could this just be some type of arthritis? Has this happend to anyone else who has had trigger finger?

Of late, I have noticed mild pain in my right hand and wrist especially when on the computer. The pain is more neuralgic type and not necessarily bone or muscle pain. I feel it is also finger specific, especially all my fingers other than my thumb and pinkie all of which I use to move the cursor. I am afraid I may have carpal tunnel. Please do suggest what to do now.

Recently I've been experiencing slight pain on my left index finger due to typing all day. Are there any exercises, medicines, or remedies for this aside from stopping to type(not an option sadly) altogether? Thank you.

I have been having severe pain...like nerve ending smart pain periodically in my finger. It almost takes to the ground it is so painful. Sometime it takes 30 - 40 minutes for my finger to feel better. Is it normal for a tendon to be remove to fix a clicking finger? If so, is the pain normal? Thanks!

I have this recurring throbbing, hot, sharp pain in the corners of my nail beds. it travels from one finger tip to another lasting a couple days in one then seemingly disappearing then showing up in another. Typically it will affect two to three fingers per episode. Currently it is in the corner of my right thumb and my left big toe. It started a couple years ago and will happen 1 to 3 times per year. Any ideas?

My finger is what gets the tingling sensation, but I would describe the pain as radiating from the bottom of my wrist area towards my finger. I also get a feeling of tension/stiffness. For the first time the pain is at a point that is interfering with not only my work but my life. What could be wrong, is this damage permanent? Hi, I'm wanting to get some advice from professionals or someone who has been in the same situation. I broke the proximal joint on my pinky finger about 3 years ago. 2 weeks later i went to the doctor to find out that they had to rebreak it and put 8 screws and a plate in it. My finger is very stiff and im starting to feel pain throughout my hand and arm now. I attached photos below. Has anyone else experienced this? And if so, what was the solution & outcome?

Yesterday, When I woke up and went about my day slowly (I do a good amount of typing on a keyboard) I realized there was a pain in my right-hand middle finger. Lately i have had numbness in my thumb, index finger, midfle finger, ring finger and pinky finger as well as pain in this fingers. My wrist,forearm, and elbow gets pain in it. The vitamin D deficiency was diagnosed when suddenly I started having trouble typing with my left hand. My fingers would pain and I had trouble pressing keys of the keyboard with left hand. (all this while my right hand was ok). My doctor suggested me to test Vitamin D and found that I had deficiency. You need to get it xrayed immediately. Apply a cold compress to the hand and arm. If you have cold natural yogurt you can apply that and wrap it loosely. Wrap the hand and arm lightly with a bandage or a towel so as to support the hand arm and ask your mom to tie a triangular bandage (if you haven't got one use a T-towel or towel) to help support the arm and keep it elevated. Will you be punching any more walls in the future? Best to punch a pillow, it's less painful!

I am at my computer and all of a sudden my middle right finger started shaking crazily. It never did that again. As far as I know I am in excellant health for 65. I take 10 mg Lipator and allergy over the counter remedys, I do have sleep apthea but am on CPAP therapy. I have a complete physical every year with a six month follow up. Blood pressure has always been excellant. I have been very tired the last couple of days, but attributed it to the Clariton and Benedryl. Any thoughts?

You are able to shake it around and get the circulation to return to the area but if the nerve gets pinched off too long or remains pinched it blocks the circulation from being able to return and you have the numbness and pain, and can have nerve damage as a result. Continue to try to move it around, and roll and stretch your neck maybe you can eventually stretch the areas enough to unpinch the nerve.

Hi buffy regularly. I am always having numb fingers, tingling hands and stuff. I just think its another part of my stupid illness. You should be very careful climbing into attics lol. That alone would make your legs feel weak.

even laying with you hands on pillows(elevated) can help keep the fluid from buiding up in the joints,try limiting use, or repetative movement... like typing can irritate your finger joints... you could also try using wrist bands for carpal tunnel as this could be the cause as well... with my last pregnancy by the end i had no feeling left at all on my fingers... and it took a few weeks after delivery to get the feeling back but it had progressed from pain(at night) to complete numbness...

I have a nodule on my left palm, under my little finger, just above the crease at the palm. There is a clear swelling in the area obvious on touching and is sensitive to pressure. Gripping things tightly or pressing the nodule causes pain. I do not appear to have any limitations in mobility of the finger at the moment although there are the few occasional moments when I have felt some discomfort while typing.

She thought she might have got a little something but the finger was still extremely painful with a very sharp pain and it was hugely swollen. So she bandaged it up and I was put on a course of anti biotics for about a week. I soaked it in hot water each day and finished the course. A big scab formed on the tip and all the skin peeled off, eventually the swelling went down and the pain got a lot better and the scab fell off.
