Avatar f tn Of course everybody hears of how dangerous Marijuana is, and I was absolutely shocked and appalled to discover that it was all a lie. No studies to prove that theory, only studies that prove how effective it is for treatment with no harm done. How could this be? Well, the answer was , and still is quite simple. Avatar m tn Preliminary studies suggest improvements in symptoms of fibromyalgia with vitamin D supplementation. Recently, a randomized controlled study found that increasing vitamin D blood levels from a mean of 19 ng/mL to about 50 ng/mL was associated with a modest decrease in fibromyalgia pain (a 20 point decrease on a 100 point scale). The study involved 30 adults (mostly women) in Austria with fibromyalgia.
Avatar f tn I also have Psoriatic Arthritis and Fibromyalgia. Since fatigue and other symptoms crossover with both these diseases, I'm guessing that I won't really be able to tell any difference by adding EBV to the mix. Right now I just want some information on EBV and what it will mean for me. All the information on line seems to be focused on treating mono (which to my knowledge I've never tested positive for), but what is the protocol for EBV?

Avatar n tn As I feel that the pharmaceutical companies make more money off the TREATMENT --- and not finding the CURE --- that the side effects of the TREATMENT can cause more problems ---- which lead to using more pharmaceuticals. So it's like that vicious cycle --- where the snake is eating it's tail. Since no one really knows what FIBROMYALGIA truly is --- or Neuropathy... Or how to cure it... It's great that there are medicines that can help us improve our lifestyles.

Avatar f tn Zyprexa is an anti-psychotic and can be used as an adjunct treatment (along with an antidepressant) in treatment of depression and anxiety that hasn't responded well to just an antidepressant. Again, just in my humble opinion, I think there are better options out there, especially to START with. Have you tried any other medication? Therapy? How long have you had anxiety issues? Have you been officially diagnosed with an anxiety disorder, preferrably by a psychiatrist?
Avatar m tn KukkaMany Patients with ALTs in the High-Normal Range Have Liver DamageHistorically, researchers have assumed that HBV-infected people who have normal ALT levels have little or no liver damage and do not require treatment. But I'm going to fight them and insist that I need antiviral treatment.
