fainting

Avatar m tn Fear of going crazy is the most common. Really its fear of loosing controll over self. The next time you have this idea challenge yourself. Say to yourself I want more. Instead of running from this feeling say ok.. now its on. I want more come on. Make me crazy...! This isn't a permanent fix but it is a great tool to use for battles with thoughts. And don't beat yourself up. Fear isn't weakness. Fear of going crazy is your worst fear.

Avatar f tn My girlfriend has had migraines for most of her life, it runs in her immediate family. Symptoms include sharp pain in the back of her head and/or neck, dizziness, blurry vision, loss of hearing or ringing in her ears and sometimes feels like she's going to pass out. She had a CT scan and they said it was clean but she's scared. Is it just really bad headaches or could they have missed something worse?
Avatar n tn We're struggling to get to the bottom my son's issues. Since he was a year old he started getting febrile seizures, his first round brought 4 seizures in 2 days. He's had maybe 8 seizures since then and 2 of which didn't involve a fever at all. He was found passed out at his day care in February, he wasn't seen seizing or shaking but he came out of it like he would a seizure. Now, for the last 3 - 4 months, we've noticed him passing out.

Avatar f tn Only a doctor can tell you the cause of the PVCs. But if it makes you feel any better, many of us on here experience PVCs on a regular basis and our hearts are normal. The causes vary, but many times it's benign. Alot of it depends on whether you have other issues (shortness of breath, fainting, weakness, etc). Good luck!
Avatar m tn I have had lots of other stuff but right now I am sure my forearms are losing muscle mass. It looks like my muscles on the top of my forearms are especially thin. My question or fear is, in horrible neuro diseases what point does muscle wasting happen? My strength isn't bad and I do drop things but I don't know if this is anxiety or just the occasional accident. Basically I am freaking out due to a lack of knowledge.

Avatar f tn Usually, when this occurs it happens over the course of the morning (several hours) and gets somewhat better after eating lunch (symptoms don't get better after eating breakfast, however). I've checked my glucose (fingerstick glucose monitor) several times when I'm feeling this way and my glucose is always normal. When glucose was run from a lab draw about a month ago, it was 55 (low), but I don't recall that I was feeling particularly weak or bad that day.
Avatar f tn I'm at week 24 of 48 weeks of SOC treatment. Since starting treatment, I get these episodes of feeling very faint and dizzy. It's very difficult to stand in one spot for any length of time without this happening. Today at work I was talking to someone and felt myself begin to get dizzy. I tried to continue in my professional role, thinking that I'd be able to make it through this episode without causing a scene, as I've managed to do this in the past.

Avatar n tn It could be postprandial hypotension, a drop in blood pressure that occurs after eating which can result in presyncope (dizziness, lightheadedness, weakness, almost fainting) or syncope (fainting) in some patients. A holter monitor does not measure blood pressure, so it would not rule out postprandial hypotension as a cause for syncope.
Avatar f tn s side of the family that have heart problems and I have never heard from them or doctors a symptoms of fainting. Does your doctor know that you faint often? I am wondering if the lightheadedness and fainting are something else not caused from your heart? The symptoms that I have heard from people are tiredness, weakness, sharp chest pains, irregular heartbeat, and awareness of the heart working.
671285 tn?1292660161 Sometimes, the feeling is comparable to that of fainting. Not sure if this is normal. I never used to feel that way but I realize that I am getting older now. I am not anemic nor do I have any vitamin deficiencies. My heart is excellant and Im in great shape. My diet has room for improvement (chips and cookies are a fun snack!). So, does anyone else experience this strange feeling too? I have never passed out.

Avatar n tn However in general (and please understand I am not trying to imply I feel this is the case in you), when fasciculations occur in the setting of associated symptoms such as progressive loss of sensation, tingling or numbness, weakness, trouble swallowing and change in speech/voice, the cause may be due to a peripheral nervous system problem. The location of the problem could be the anterior horn cells, the area where the nerves that supply motor innervation to our body comes from.

Avatar n tn Some of what you describe are panic attacks, being through a traumatic experience does some times bring on fear or afraid of dying. You need to make an appointment with your doctor or neurologist.Having a pinched nerve in your neck does not cause, these feelings.Or having arthritis in your neck.Make an appointment as possible though. You may need an MRI of your brain,or catscan of your brain. It could be seizures or pin strokes.I can't say for sure I am not a doctor.Take care of your self.
Avatar m tn In rare occasions they may report weakness, dizziness, or fainting. This is because frequent premature ventricular contractions can diminish the ability of the heart to pump blood to the other organs, resulting in low blood pressure. Patients with three or more consecutive premature ventricular contractions in a row have ventricular tachycardia. Ventricular tachycardia that is prolonged can result in low cardiac output, low blood pressure, and fainting.
