fainting while pregnant work

Has anyone passed out while pregnant? I had a scare the other day at work. I'm 17 weeks pregnant and it's my first pregnancy. I went to the ER and they ran a bunch of tests and made sure the babies heart beat was ok. The conclusion was that I was dehydrated. Drinking more fluids especially water is so important during pregnancy. They said it's really important to listen to your body. If you need to rest than rest. Lesson learned.

Some women have found a job while being pregnant. You can always try to find something, you never know...

Hi everyone, Last time i was on here was about 2 years ago, well so much has happened, firstly i was fitted with a loop recorder to try and find out what was happening when i fainted then my 17 year old daughter told me she was pregnant, shock wasent the word, i got used to the idea and was actually looking forward to it, she then found a lump in her breast when she was 8 months pregnant and had to go for a biopsy she obviously wanted mum with her so i dragged myself along, just as they were cut

I haven't fainted at all, I wouldn't worry about it, stay very hydrated and sit down if you feel dizzy, keep snacks on you like peanut butter cups or crackers and if you feel dizzy drink some water, eat a cracker and sit down, you'll be fine! :) Most women don't faint while pregnant but if you do it's not a huge deal.

are you pregnant or trying? fainting is something that i guess is common in early pregnancy. other than that i would say stay very hydrated and keep cool. hot weather can take a toll on ones body.

I had horrible timing with my fainting spells last pregnancy. I was always really sick with morning sickness and once I passed out while on the stairs and fell down half of them. Woke up at the bottom of the stairs so confused. It's an unfortunate thing but also a bit normal. The amount of blood in your body is increasing and that is usually what causes it. If it happens a lot you should definitely go in and get some blood work done.

I fainted before I knew I was pregnant and turns out I was! I don't think it happens to a lot of people, but my doctor said I am fine and healthy.

what is fainting disease, my son has fell down while standing. He has fell down 4-5 times in last 18 months.while morning school prayer. some dark shadows comes in his eyes & immediately after that he fell down. after felldown he remain unconcious for 30-40 seconds only. Today I consulted with a Neuro Doctor Puneet Syal (MD- Medicine) He told that my son may have chances 95 % of Fainting or 5% chances of Epilepsy desease and he advised MRI, EEG, ECHO & ECG TESTS.

my sister, age 22, and 13 weeks pregnant, this morning was at work, while standing she felt faint, then walked out of the room, everything went black (she described it as thinking she went blind), then leaned against a wall... and fainted and woke up on the floor, she was sweating and shaking right before that. When she woke up, she went to the bathroom and threw up, and was shaky afterwards... this afternoon she had what she says was very little spotting (5 or 6 hours later).

Yes holding your urine is bad especially when your pregnant. If you have to pee go. If anyone at your work has an issue with your bathroom breaks tell them to kiss it!

I was 27 or so, and it started with a urinary tract ifection that I ignored because I could not miss work. It took a week in the hospital, and more fainting and a second trip to the hospital before I was diagnosed. I had fainted so much, vomiting, tired, etc... By the time it was diagnosed correctly, I was very sick. After the second week in the hospital, my veins were no good and I almost did not recover. Because of that, I was told that I am more likely to have recurring bouts of it.

My heart was beating fast I fell down n went to the bathroom splashed water on my face n it happened again. I called my bf at work n he told me to go in the bedroom to put the ac on it worked I was ok a couple mins after sitting in the ac. but has anyone ever had this happen to them? I didn't go to the er do to not having a car. today I feel ok just tired.

This just happened to me at work yesterday at work. I felt like i was goibg to hit the floor. I drank a couple glasses of ice water and was fine.. just stay hydrated mama!

So how do I control this when I'm having my c section?

Did they test his glucose again while in ER? What scans were performed? Are you in area where there is high heat? If yes, was he well hydrated prior to going outside? I would schedule a visit with a doctor for a full health examination which should include stress testing [heart], and an A1c test to see how well he is controlling his glucose levels.

Is anyone else having problems feeling really dizzy or fainting? I passed out last week in the middle of cosco and almost again in Wal-Mart anyone else having or had this problem??

I don't know if I am in the right place for this or not, but I have been fainting since I was 13 (now 30). It used to happen for no apparent reason (not from stress) & I went through many tests (EEG, EKG, etc) before they did the tilt-table test & figured out it was when adreneline was released into my system that heart rate went up/blood pressure down. I was on nadalol (sp)?

three of the times he has had a bad stomache ache and went to the bathroom and while sitting on the toilet he would start to feel like he was going to pass out and next thing he would wake up on the floor or in the bath tub. any thoughts on what we might checkout?
