364288 tn?1300144506 Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend! I just had a quick question for you re: fainting. I've had a few spells on and off nothing to the point where I actually faint but I start feeling like I'm going to pass out. I get sweaty and I feel sick to my stomach. I talked to my Dr. about this and she didn't seem concerned. She said sometimes your blood pressure gets low and it you start feeling that way. Just wondering if anyone has felt like this before? It *****!!
Avatar f tn A heart condition might be the reason for my fainting spells but why am I getting the severe cramping/spasms? If there is anyone out there who has had similar occurances please let me know. I would rather know than not know what is happening to me.
Avatar f tn I have had two fainting spells over the past 5 years where my hands and feet start to tingle before it happens as well as the feeling I have to frequently blinkand my neck feels like it needs to crack, it happened once when I was driving, I pulled over thank god.. After it happens I also have ringing in my ears and sort of the feeling in my head that I was hit with a bat. I have noticed it comes when I have high anxiety or stress.

After she had several fainting spells, she was tested for seizures but all the test came back negative. About three years ago we find out she has an enlarged thyroid and hypothyroidism. About six months ago, she had a sleep study done because she waking up ever couple hours every night. The study showed that she was having seizures every couple minutes.

Avatar m tn Drink water and eat something small. It could be low blood sugar or dehydration. I had dizzy spells, my whole body would get hot and I would almost pass out if I didn't lay down quick. My dr told me it was probably dehydration. It stopped happening once I hit the 2nd trimester.

Avatar m tn Hi, I am a 21 year old male who had experienced spells of fainting since 10 year old. These fainting spells occur all of a sudden without me doing any physical demanding activities. I play a lot of sports and I eat healthily. Over the years my fainting spells got lesser and lesser. 2 Months ago, I fainted again. I went for a specialist check up and had a bunch of tests taken. ECG test came negative, Tilt Table came negative. My heart rate is healthy, BP is normal.

Avatar n tn This is my third pregnancy and I've had fainting spells with my previous two nor while not pregnant. However, recently, I started to blacked out and sat myself quickly to the floor so i wouldn't hit hard and slowly began to recover. I didn't completely faint but did lose control and was sweaty on my neck even in air conditioning during the episode. It was a different feeling from being light headed or dizzy(i have experienced those but not this pregnancy) and scared me to death.
Avatar f tn Well I'm checking my BP regularly too and it's been normal. The reason I checked my sugar is because I'm diabetic and when my sugar dropd I get dizzy too. I have an appt next week. I'll tell my Dr and see what he says.
Avatar f tn I had horrible timing with my fainting spells last pregnancy. I was always really sick with morning sickness and once I passed out while on the stairs and fell down half of them. Woke up at the bottom of the stairs so confused. It's an unfortunate thing but also a bit normal. The amount of blood in your body is increasing and that is usually what causes it. If it happens a lot you should definitely go in and get some blood work done.
Avatar m tn The cardiologist has ruled out cardiac reasons for the near fainting spells. They seem to be more frequent and intense during the fevers. Could it be nerve damage related? I've been getting adequate fluid intake, so don't think that's part of it. What other possibilities are there? Also, he was able to rule out heart valve vegetations, clots and infection. None of them are related to what's happening in the nervous system.
Avatar m tn After MANY tests (MRI, CAT Scan, Tilt Table, etc) my cardiologist put me on Lexapro, Fludrocortisone and Salt Tabs. This combo has made my dizzy spells and fainting spell manageable as I have only about one per month now. However, we (me and the doc) want to completely eliminate this last episode. Has anyone had any luck with any other meds? I recently tried a beta blocker and had 2 episodes in 5 days, so I stopped it.
Avatar f tn t have the courage to visit the doctor when I was bleeding profusely, having fainting spells and had huge lumps of blood clots.
290867 tn?1333569278 hi there, i also had dizzy/near fainting spells and hot and cold flashes over the first few weeks. i've also had heart palpitations (later on, in my 3rd trimester with my 1st pregnancy). you can check your blood pressure and drink gatorade and make sure you have enough salt in your diet if low blood pressure is the issue. i found the near fainting spells went away on their own though.
Avatar n tn Hi, I have recently been experiencing something much like fainting spells. Twice now, i've found myself suddenly fallen across the table or on the ground, with no memory of how i got there. The strange thing is, i dont feel the pain of hitting the ground, I have no history of fainting, and i have managed to catch myself before i seriously injured myself. I just wanted to know if this was something i should be worried about. And im sorry if i put this in the wrong forum.
