1100598 tn?1413127426 I will go to sleep and then wake up in the night needing to use the bathroom. Upon standing, my heart rate will race up to 170 bpm, then will come down after less than 10 minutes. I do have abnnormal EKG (inverted T Waves). Sometimes I get very dizzy and have to lean up against the wall to keep from fainting. I get terrible sporatic palipitations and become fatigued with very little exercise. I have an appt with a cardiologist next month.

Avatar m tn My last stress test was summer of 2011 and told I was fine, but these are new occasion and I worry. Today they are bad upon standing after a 22 minute walk on treadmill. Hours later. Any ideas or experiences with something similar?
Avatar n tn The bladder problems, cardiac issues, fainting (did it start out as dizzy upon standing), the twitching, the headaches, (do you get multiple ones throughout the day? Maybe some around the same times each day?). The abdominal pain, is it below your ribs? Have they done any tests on the gallbladder? Since it’s after greasy or large meals?
Avatar n tn Thanks for your answer, they have already removed medication and a 24 hr blood pressure monitor test proved it is not my blood pressure that is causing the lightheadedness and fainting problem upon standing up. So now they have me going to the Electrophysiology clinic at the University of Michigan hospital. Hopefully they can figure this whole mess out. Thanks for you reply.
Avatar f tn I have discussed with other individuals syncope (fainting upon standing from a sitting position, etc. The condition is Neurally Mediated Syncope (NMS) and the condition that can occur in a wide range of people, many of whom do not have any other associated cardiovascular problems. To understand this phenomenon, is to examine how the nervous system of the body functions. During our daily activities, our heart rate and blood pressure constantly rise and fall to meet the needs of the body.
Avatar f tn Since then I have seen a cardiologist who has diagnosed me with POTS because of my constant fainting and fast heart rate upon standing. All of my ECGs and echos are normal. I am wondering if perhaps my disaitonomic problems are caused by something more serious. I mentioned the bradycardia to my current Dr. But he did not seem worried so I dropped it but I don't want one of those serious fainting episodes to happen again and wake up with a pacemaker and lose my license.
Avatar m tn Hello, I'm a 32 year old male, healthy until this past September when I had a fainting episode. Since then I've had a racing heart beat upon standing. I've undergone extensive testing on my heart, everything from an echo to a CT angiogram and all is well structurally and my arteries are clean as a whistle so all good news there. I also wore an event monitor for 3 weeks which picked up sinus tachycardia and PACs.
Avatar f tn rapid heart rate upon standing, low or high blood pressure, dizziness, fainting, fatigue, sweating, anxiety-like symptoms, headaches, shortness of breath, inability to exercise, nausea, vomiting, digestion problems, etc. The symptoms are endless and vary person to person day to day. Very few doctors are familiar with this illness and often misdiagnose patients. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Avatar m tn Just a few minutes ago, I was in my bathroom pleasuring myself and upon release, I started to get light headed. This wasn't new to me because I usually get shortness of breath especially while standing. But before I knew it, I fell down, hit my head on the wall and was gasping for air on the ground. After I came to, I sat up and my nose started pouring out this liquid. I've had allergies before with discharge, but this was as if my nose was pissing.
Avatar n tn EMS came and said it may have been from the vicodin or surgery. Pulse rose upon standing when they checked him but BP stayed same but low. This happened when he was 2 yrs old, after a bug bite and again in November 2008 when he woke up one morning said he had a slight headache, he was urinating and he passed out, body locked up. Again EMS felt like he was ok and we didnt need to transport. He had a brain scan when he was 2 after fainting but hasnt seen a doctor for this otherwise.
Avatar n tn Happens when the blood pressure suddenly falls when standing up or stretching. The symptom is caused by blood pooling in the lower extremities upon a change in body position. It is quite common and can occur briefly in anyone. Normally dehydration, anemia can be culprits for this. check your medication, even OTC side-effect info as that can also be a cause of it. The skipped beats: PAC's and PVC's. Also very normal and harmless and common.

Avatar f tn For various reasons my heart rate can become VERY bradycardic (slow) and thus lowers my blood pressure immensely. This results in a lack of oxygen to the brain and a fainting spell. Upon fainting, everything seems to "reset" and go back to normal. Some people have what is termed POTS (positional orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) which basically means that a shift in position can trigger an arrhythmia (not a deadly one) that can sometimes cause fainting.
Avatar f tn This nerve is irritated by prolonged standing, standing up suddenly, stress, pain, hunger, dehydration, intense emotion etc. A tilt table test, holter monitor, echocardiogram etc are done for confirmed diagnosis. Since it does not always happen, go back to the few episodes and see what the trigger was. Try and avoid the trigger which may be as simple as standing up suddenly on an empty stomach. Sit down immediately and place your head between the knees. Let the episode pass.
Avatar f tn I have failed a Tilt table test, I have done orthostatic blood pressure readings and upon standing my bp drops and my heart rate accelerates. My last reading my bp laying down was 112/60 with heart rate at 80, sitting upright 100/58 heart rate 100 and standing 88/40 heart rate 170. I have noticed that I am having lots of tachycardia symptoms at rest.
Avatar f tn Since I was about 10 weeks, I would get these dizzy spells, nasuea, panicky feelings, hot and out of breath upon standing...It was mild then but over the last week its been progressively worse..my bp would spike...one time got as high as 169/105! This is upon standing...I also get tachycardic when I stand. My bp laying will be 110/65, sitting 122/75, standing usually 130/90 to 145/100. My heart rate laying will be 75-80 BPM and once i stand it will be 95-120 bpm!
Avatar n tn My 17 yearold daughter has suddenly started gaining weight(30 lbs in 6 months) and stays tired all of the time. This started off when she started getting dizzy upon standing. She has been diagnosed with POTS disease and epstien barr. We've had all the tests on heart, blood pressure, mri/mra, even to an endocrinologist and nobody can tell us why the fainting spells continue. The endocrinologist ran a blood panel and the T4, B12, and cortizone/cortisol(?
