fainting

Avatar f tn A heart condition might be the reason for my fainting spells but why am I getting the severe cramping/spasms? If there is anyone out there who has had similar occurances please let me know. I would rather know than not know what is happening to me.
Avatar f tn I had horrible timing with my fainting spells last pregnancy. I was always really sick with morning sickness and once I passed out while on the stairs and fell down half of them. Woke up at the bottom of the stairs so confused. It's an unfortunate thing but also a bit normal. The amount of blood in your body is increasing and that is usually what causes it. If it happens a lot you should definitely go in and get some blood work done.
Avatar f tn I am a very stressed 21 yr old female, my body doesnt handle stress well. I have always had moderate to severe anxiety. 364288 tn?1300144506 Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend! I just had a quick question for you re: fainting. I've had a few spells on and off nothing to the point where I actually faint but I start feeling like I'm going to pass out. I get sweaty and I feel sick to my stomach. I talked to my Dr. about this and she didn't seem concerned. She said sometimes your blood pressure gets low and it you start feeling that way. Just wondering if anyone has felt like this before? It *****!!
Avatar f tn I have had two fainting spells over the past 5 years where my hands and feet start to tingle before it happens as well as the feeling I have to frequently blinkand my neck feels like it needs to crack, it happened once when I was driving, I pulled over thank god.. After it happens I also have ringing in my ears and sort of the feeling in my head that I was hit with a bat. I have noticed it comes when I have high anxiety or stress.
Avatar f tn Hi, Sinus arrhythmia is a normal phenomenon in every child. I hope your doctor knows what he's doing. There are two possibilities. Fainting after standing for a long time or during rest, is usually caused by vagal hyperactivity that causes a drop in the blood pressure, usually with a slow heart rate. This is more or less normal.
Avatar f tn My 14 yrs old has had fainting spells since she was in first grade. Her fainting spells looked like she was having a seizure. Avatar f tn Since I was about 10 years old I have been having these fainting spells. I never have them sitting down just when I am standing. I feel a pressure in my head, then my vision goes black, I hear a roaring in my ears, and they last for only seconds. When I come back I am slightly confused for a second then my head hurts a little, my heart is pounding, I sometimes have coldsweats, and my breathing is faster. I am 24 years old and in the last couple years they have been getting a little worse.
Avatar n tn My 14 year old daughter has been having fainting spells for about a year now. In October, she was diagnosed with Epilepsy due to an EEG that showed slowing in the left temporal lobe. This was confirmed in December by another doctor. She was on Keppra and then was added Trileptal but kept having spells. So, the docs put her in the hospital for 5 days and weaned her off the medication while on video EEG. She had one episode but it didn't record as seizure so they decided it was cardiac.

Avatar f tn I am a 20 year old college women and between last summer and this summer I have experienced 3 fainting spells, all under different conditions. The first two I feel like I have a basic understanding of why they occurred, but will share them anyways as I am concerned that my most recent one has no explanation. Avatar m tn Hi, I am a 21 year old male who had experienced spells of fainting since 10 year old. These fainting spells occur all of a sudden without me doing any physical demanding activities. I play a lot of sports and I eat healthily. Over the years my fainting spells got lesser and lesser. 2 Months ago, I fainted again. I went for a specialist check up and had a bunch of tests taken. ECG test came negative, Tilt Table came negative. My heart rate is healthy, BP is normal.

Avatar n tn I've been having fainting or dizy spells for almost a month now. Tried dinking more water and more portein like suggested for this problem, didn't help. The spells are getting more frequent and lasting longer each time. Yesterday I had one spell lasting over 30 minutes and today I had 2 that lasted over 15 minutes each within 3 hours. Does anyone have any insight or information about this?
Avatar n tn Mine recently has also dropped from about 110/70 to 90/60, but I used to smoke a lot before I got pregnant. I do have dizzy spells so I take sodium whenever I feel dizzy. It is kind of odd that you mention the arm/leg fatigue because pretty much since I have delivered my son in August 2006 I have been experiencing arm/leg symptoms also. That is also when my BP went down to 90/60 on a consistent basis. Is your BP the same in both arms?
Avatar n tn I mentioned to the doctor I had two fainting spells, first was November second was in January. No cause has been found. Could there be a connection? Also, explain colon inflammation please. Is that caused by the colitis? Thank you.

Avatar f tn I was fine for the next two months, with a couple of minor dizzy spells here and there. Then, about 5 weeks ago I had two more near fainting/diarrhea spells three days apart, which were quite scary. Over the next two weeks I was still weak and still having diarrhea/loose stool a few times a day, but eventually felt 100% for about three days. All Cardio tests (EKG, Echo, Holter moniter) were normal. The symptoms got very bad a few days later.
Avatar n tn The medical term for your husband’s attacks is, Cough Syncope (fainting or passing out). The immediate cause of this fainting is the hard cough that causes reduced blood flow to the brain and can quickly deprive the brain of oxygen. However, there are many causes of sudden hard coughing, one of which is what is called Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD or “heartburn”) that irritates the larynx (voice box).
Avatar f tn I have always been prone to fainting due to being anemic so easily.. When I got pregnant it got worse and I fainted more.. I started taking iron capsules and pre natals with iron..
Avatar m tn The cardiologist has ruled out cardiac reasons for the near fainting spells. They seem to be more frequent and intense during the fevers. Could it be nerve damage related? I've been getting adequate fluid intake, so don't think that's part of it. What other possibilities are there? Also, he was able to rule out heart valve vegetations, clots and infection. None of them are related to what's happening in the nervous system.
