Avatar m tn All I know is that after you get pregnant you can use an ovulation monitor as a pregnancy test since it can tell an increase just like when you ovulate. I'm not sure how soon after ovulation it works though.
546318 tn?1328193635 (the paler they are the higher the estrogen levels) This month the levels have gone slightly darker from day7 past ovulation. I am on day 8dpo today. So this means that my estrogen levels are lower than they were at time of ovulation. If you check my tracker you will see my bbt is higher than ever- 37c (my low cover line is 36.6) so my progesterone levels must be high.
655897 tn?1328018445 Does anyone know what their estrogen level was around a week after your IUI or ovulation? Mine is 820. Is that a good sign? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
1402796 tn?1282210284 Hi....I learned that once your breast becomes tender than you have achieved ovulation but I am anot sure....if your cycles are 28th day long than you should be fertile from 10-16 good luck and God bless... I am so sorry about your chemical pregnanncy!
Avatar n tn Your estrogen does continue to increase during the first part of your cycle and hits a peak right before ovulation. The estrogen is needed to help build the lining and it also helps improve the cervical mucus. I'm not sure how much of an impact a low level has on day 3, as the levels are generally much lower then anyway. I guess it all depends on how much it increases as you get closer to ovulation. Good luck to you!
Avatar f tn I'm sorry about your cancelled cycle. You will probably still ovulate on yopur own (if you normally do). I would use OPK's or an Ov. monitor to make sure. Did your RE say he was going to change your protocol for your next IVF attempt?
Avatar f tn I did know you could ovulate twice in 1 cycle is this something to be concerned about?
Avatar f tn The most common cause for mid cycle bleeding in a healthy woman is attributed to the change in estrogen levels in the body. Mid cycle bleeding can also occur in women who have some other problems and in such cases the bleeding is a little too heavy when compared." And this was what it said on mid-cycle SPOTTING: "Mid cycle spotting occurs ten to fourteen days prior to the commencement of the next cycle and is considered to be normal.
1328473 tn?1335874467 Hi there, First of all, I'm very sorry for your loss :( :( Honestly I have never heard of that. I'm on clomid and my estrogen levels can be as low as 1500 at ovulation and this cycle as high as 3500 at ovulation. I was just told it's indicative of the amount of eggs / follicles sorry don't know where did you hear this? from your RE?
Avatar n tn 39 years with thin endometrium, normal ovulation ,have been trying oral estrogen for the last 2 years.want to know other strategies or medication. This discussion is related to Thin endometrium but normal ovulation.
Avatar n tn Well, in general, estrogen is always low on day 3, since you're just starting a new cycle. Once the follicle starts to grow, estrogen starts to increase as well; and by the time you're ready to ovulate, estrogen levels are generally 200 or more. That's why I'm not sure how big of a problem it is to have a low number on day 3. It might not be an issue at all. Best of luck to the two of you!
Avatar n tn ve read on plenty of forums of women have outbreaks during ovulation. Estrogen levels are higher during ovulation, and there are studies showing that estrogen is linked to herpes. This is why women seem to have herpes more than men. It is just that women present more than men do because we have more estrogen. If I don't take the Valtrex, the outbreaks progress to oozing and crusting over. I really don't see what else this could be.
Avatar n tn If this is a recurrrent issue for you, it can usually be corrected with fertility meds in the follicular phase (before ovulation)...either with an estrogen supplement or an ovulation inducing medication, since both will increase your estrogen levels. I would definitely call and check with your doctor, though, to make sure you know for sure what the number was. Good luck!
594189 tn?1386916607 Does anyone know about low estrogen affects ovulation? Since she said my estrogen level is low.
Avatar f tn As the eggs grow the follicles enlarge and produce estrogen. High levels of estrogen in your body triggers a release of LH, Luteinizing Hormone. This is also known as an LH surge. When this happens it causes the mature egg to burst from the follicle. This is called ovulation. Normally, only one egg will be large enough to burst through the follicle during ovulation. After you ovulate, you begin what is known as your Luteal Phase (the second half of your cycle).
1050589 tn?1253752185 So your doctor said it was the estrogen that was low, not the progesterone? Usually, the estrogen rises as your follicle/egg develops and then once released, progesterone goes up. A low progesterone usually indicates no ovulation, and without ovulation, you won't get your period. I would probably ask your doctor for a progesterone supplement instead (like provera).
Avatar f tn Ferning is what you expect to see in the presence of estrogen. Women who are having regular periods NEVER produce too much estrogen. I am not a big fan of timing things to intricately. None of our parents had to time intercourse to have us. If your periods are regular, and you are having relations 3-4 times a week from days 10-18 or so, your timing should be fine. At age 23, after only two months of trying, I would be surprised if there is a problem.
Avatar f tn I often have painful pain in my lower abdnomin. I have noticed that i usually have this pain during my Ovulation period. My gyno doc dygno. me with a myom/fibroid about 3.5cm and little small onse which he said there are not important to worry about. This pain is so big that when its there i can not meet my husband. I would have gone to visit my Doc but he is in another country. I will be going in September to see him.
1545670 tn?1302258058 I was told to stop taking OPK after a positive because it can also pick up estrogen and you get a rise in estrogen at the very end of your cycle. So, maybe the first was LH surge and now this is the estrogen. Hope that makes sense. I switched to the digital too to make sure that I knew when I got my +opk and that helped a lot. Good luck!
1748995 tn?1427334864 Do you test for ovulation and go in when you get a positive? I am a little confused. I am hoping I only have to do a fresh cycle & I get my BFP tyhat way,but I am curious of how a frozen cycle works. Thanks ladies!
613471 tn?1244201788 s the progesterone after ovulation that causes tender breasts, but high estrogen levels can also cause tenderness, it's just not as common. Personally, I always get tender breast after ovulation and until AF arrives (when progesterone is dominant), but I have had a couple of cycles where they got sore before ovulation (when estrogen is dominant). I'm not sure if that's what's going on with you, but I agree with GiGi, take another pregnancy test...just in case.
Avatar f tn Fertile cervical mucus develops as a co-efficient of the increase in the estrogen hormones during the first half of your menstrual cycle. Many compare fertile CM to raw egg-white. In fact, Internet fertility charters actually call it "egg-white cervical mucus" and even have a common abbreviation for this mucus (EWCM)! The technical medical term, however, is "spinnbarkeit" - derived from a German word referring to that exact same thin and "stretchable" attribute.
