doxycycline for back acne

I've been taking doxycycline for acne on my back for a few weeks (50 mg twice daily). The doxycycline was prescribed for inflamed pimples on my back, which would be sore and red. Each individual pimple would go away on its own but I would generally have a couple new ones every week. I had been having acid reflux before I started taking the doxycycline, and it seems to be worse now. Yesterday, I rolled over on my stomach while in bed and my esophagus was burned by acid.

I was on Doxy 100mg for about a month for antimalarial reasons, saw a slight improvement in my skin, and was then prescribed Doxy 50mg for acne indefinitely. I’ve been on this for about 3 weeks. I have definitely noticed fewer pimples, but I still have the odd one here and there. I’ve also been using 10% Benzoyl Peroxide gel which I think has worked wonders. I would like to go off Doxy 50mg to see if it is the Doxy or the Benzoyl which has helped my skin.

I have horrible acne and was prescribed doxycycline. I take orthrotricyclen, does anyone know if they interfere?

I have been looking on the internet and I have found doxy is prescribed mostly for acne. So can it also be used for folliculitis? My situation is I took doxy for 11 days and then stopped for 3 days because it seemed to get a lot worse. The one I have now gave me doxycycline for 30 days and some shampoo and topicals. He also injected steroids or something in the areas he saw flareups. I saw no improvement from that. Only from the antibiotics. I am now out of the medicine and it's all coming back again. I'm desperate for a cure. I've run out of options. I was wondering if anyone here has used Doxycycline to treat a urinary tract infection and the resulting effects of their treatment have been. I have been prescribed this medication due to a suspected urinary tract infection possibly caused by an STD, even though all of these STDs: HIV, Syphilis, Chylmadia, Gonorrea, have been done WELL outside of their testing window, and they have all come back negative. Ureaplasma and Mycoplasma are possibilities.
