Dextroamphetamine for weight loss

Common Questions and Answers about Dextroamphetamine for weight loss

adderall

I thought these 2 meds were known to be weight neutral or cause weight loss. My doctor knows my concern about the weight issue as this is something I have never fought to maintain while everything else in life seems to be a fight. If I stopped taking all meds, would I lose the weight and go back to my normal size. I do lack motivation that's for sure! I think or say I will start a program and don't.
I recently started to take adderall for weight loss. I have notice something remarkable. I have not had a migraine in 2 weeks. I usually get 2-3 per week. I am trying trying to find a reason why, but have not found anything. Does anyone know why this would happen?

The most common side effects are Anorexia, weight loss, insomnia, irritability, restlessness, headaches, stomach upset, elevation of blood pressure etc. Blurred vision also has been reported from its usage. I would recommend that you consult with your physician for adjusting the dosage and for further recommendations. Good luck to you. Sincerely HFHS-M.D.
I am familiar with some of the side effects as far as nausea, suppressed appetite, weight loss, headaches, and most of all insomnia. Would you say that insomnia is an idicator of to much or too little a dose? Insomnia would seem to be a negative side affect, considering that sleep, and restful sleep, is most crucial to ones health and well being. This is very much a concern I have in regards to using adderol as a treatment for ADHD.
Call ur Dr! U should not take more meds then RX'd....u need to follow instructions..... The issues with vomiting could be from the meds u were not RX'd by ur Dr.... What side effects can this medication cause? Dextroamphetamine and amphetamine may cause side effects.
Dear JH, Adderall is a brand name for Amphetamine + Dextroamphetamine. These a type of Psycho-stimulants. They act on the nervous system and increase the libido, alertness, etc. But this comes under "Controlled substance act" because of its abusive nature and addictive nature. It's side effects include - 1) Increased Blood Pressure. 2) Sudden death. 3) Heart Attack 4) Seizure/Convulsions 5) Stroke. 6) Twitch 7) Weight loss 8) Vision related problems. 9) Psychosis.
I actually know tons of people who misuse it, get it through psychs just for the energy, extra motivation or just weight loss. In the long run, it hurts the people who actually have it. That's why there are actual psychs and doctors out there who don't think adults have ADD that needs medications to be controlled. It won't kill her, but she is definitely misusing it. But a few psychs will give ADDers who complain of crashing around 6 or 8 p.m.
# STUNTED GROWTH AND WEIGHT LOSS Particularly in children, Adderall can decrease growth and cause significant weight loss. Other Adderall Side Effects Other Adderall side effects can include significant loss of appetite, mood changes, insomnia, dry mouth, and headaches. What is happening now?
So why the ones that know about this dont post here their experiences. Is it a good dosage for a weight loss program?? 'The usual protocol is to inject 1500-3000 I.U. every 4th or 5th day, for a duration usually no longer than 2 or 3 weeks. If used for too long or at too high a dose, the drug may actually function to desensitize the Leydig's cells to luteinizing hormone, further hindering a return to homeostasis.
) I guess it can also help you lose weight? I'll shoot for 200 mg Cytomel with my doc, and bargain from there. You want data. I dug up a photocopy of the initial lab set that my endo drew about 2 months ago. There are no major abnormalities, just several minor thingys, such as a little low testosterone, a little high C-Reactive Protein, etc. But getting to your direct questions, you wanted to know my free T3 and Free T4 levels.
To clarify my statements---- I didn't say Adderall was a "street drug" although it may be. Doctor's rx it all the time for valid reasons.
Dextroamphetamine is a dangerous mix with parnate, because of potentiation of subsequent dangerous side effects,,like sub arachnoid hemorrhage(bleeding brain)from high blood pressure. If you can get the dextroamphetamine use it with the tyrosine. If you can get the parnate use it with the tyrosine DO NOT MIX PARNATE AND DEXTROAMPHETAMINE. I have and WOW I got zapped,no problems, slight headache next morning.
I weigh 70kg, so 70mg is just right for me, I find that it lasts through 8-9pm, then I take 1mg klonopin to help with the "drop off" and to help me fall asleep. People metabolize the XR so differently, some people it lasts 9-10 hours, for me it last around 5-6hrs...If you think of XR this way you are essentially getting 2 15mg doses 4 hours apart with the 30mg XR. I tried 2 30mg XR, but I prefer the flexibility of combining the two types of adderall. Hope this helps !!!
and the days that i didn't have them i could barely function..they are for short term weight loss therapy and i didn't get mine legally a pharmacist who happened to be a friend of mine gave them to me....and many other he ended up a federal prison for 42 months...believe me those are the mildest I have taken..i am not really sure that docs really even prescribe them that much anymore......
constantly popping her fingers or wriggling them together, these too concern me, while we have great improvement she has these tics and in addition weight loss also, no appetite. She is also been diagnosed with oppositional defient disorder but not put on meds yet and so I too have great concern on the long term affects of drug use. It is all very confusing as too what is best for your child...drugs, no drugs, yet you don't want your child to be miserable...
