contractions in back

Is it normal to have contractions in your back after sex ? My back starts to contract after and sometimes does that even when I'm not doing anything.

I know its possible to have back contractions without feeling them in my front and I am so worried thats what im having bc my back has been killing me! How exactly can you time back contractions!? Im 35 weeks!

If it doesnt stop in a while ill go in l&d. Im 40+1 and idk what to do.

What do contractions in your butt and back feel like? Is it a constant pain or come and go? I've been through labor once but it was all in front and ended in csection. Not sure if what I'm experiencing are contractions or just aches and pains from bring 38 weeks. Any input would greatly help!

39 weeks And a day and my baby has been super active which is resulting in the " lightning" stage, well now I'm having uncomfortable contractions in my back. Is there anything I can so to alleviate some of this?

Are they coming in intervals and lasting about a min? If so I would say yes you are probably having back labor. Have you lost your plug?

You should time them... Even if you call they are going to ask you to time them then call back.

Is it possible to get contractions in your back and it not be actual back labor? I'm praying my baby is facing the right direction still and didn't turn sunny side up.

That's what it sounds like. I had them off and on randomly for a few days, then nothing. After 2 days i had those terrible menstrual like cramps and heavy colored discharge; i called in to ask about them, the nurse told me i was in preterm labor. Turns out it was round ligaments and a bruised appendix (he's a kicker), and the back pain from earlier was just Hicks contractions.

For the past two days I have been having really bad lower back pain. Its like a sharp & dull pain at the same time. I'm thinking its the baby lowering down in my back. Sorry if its tmi, but its gotten to the point to where I cant have a bowel movement or gas pass through. I'm up all night dealing with this pain. I'm 39 weeks. Could this be back contractions?

Still have back contractions after lik 5 hrs smh there hurting worst no on call nurse said drank water lay dwn and. Take sum Tylenol. I did all of that 3 hrs ago smh anybody else have this problem I'm mad.

When I was in labor, with two of three kids, it was back labor. The first time they wouldn't let me do anything to relieve it and forced the epidural on me. With my second back labor(9 days ago) I stalled out at five cm and was encouraged to get on my hands and knees to try to get baby to turn his head from face up to face down. It worked and made my contractions start up and my water to break. They said I was having back labor cause of his position.

t feel well so I went to bed. While laying down all of a sudden I felt a tightening like pain in my back and stomach. It lasted about three minutes and it was so bad I was in tears. I got up and sat down in the living room and it disappeared. I have yet to feel braxton hicks or contractions but at a recent hospital visit he said I had two while I was there. That's what i thought it was but it might be actual contractions i got checked today at 33-6 and I'm already dilated to a 3 so i had to go in for steroid shots just incase she is trying to come early if it's in your back i would call the doctor
