pregnancy contractions in back

I'll be 39 weeks pregnant tomorrow and so far I've had literally no contractions, no braxton hicks etc, all I really get is a crampy feeling, but I've got really bad back pain which comes and goes, and bad rib pain too... from my last midwife app two week ago he's 3/5th engaged he's been head down for a while now, he's dropped really low I can literally feel him headbutting down there to the point I worry he'll just pop out, anyone know if there back contractions?

I have heard of people getting contractions in their back, but I guess what I'm wondering is is there a possibility of having Braxton hicks contractions in your back? I keep getting this cramping feeling in my lower back on the left side just randomly throughout the day. It's not pleasant at all but it's not unbearable pain either. I'm only 33 weeks.

Is it normal to have contractions in your back after sex ? My back starts to contract after and sometimes does that even when I'm not doing anything.

yesterday ive been having a lot of cramping, especially in my lower back feels like period cramps, they havnt gotten worse than when they started but its been a constant thing and its very uncomfortable. I dont know if she is pressing on some nerves or if period like cramps is normal during 31 Weeks anyone know?

ve been hurting like every night im feeling contractions but they dnt stay n tonight im nt havin regular contractions but my lower back is hurting badly but nothing like contractions anybody know whats goin on? Is it labor?

33+4. This is my third pregnancy. With my oldest two I only had pressure in my butt never "back contractions" is it possible to get them in your upper back?

I did with my first pregnancy when I contractions the pain would wrap around to my back, it was brutal pain, I had my hubby massage my back literally bruising me but I couldn't feel it so it wasn't helpful.

The night before I gave birth to him. I was hurting in my back very bad. I felt this off and on through out my pregnancy so I didn't think much of it. Needless to say I got no sleep that night and by the time my children's father awoke I told him I felt I needed to go to the hospital because I was in a lot of pain. By the time I got there I was 5cm, prior to that I got checked a few days before and I was only 2cm. Once I got to the hospital they told me I was in full blown labor.

It was weird when i started getting the back labor i didnt realize that was the start of labor until i got the contractions in the front.

It could be just pregnancy back pain but also labor can be in the back so I would call at least and see if they think it could be preterm labor.

It could be the start, I had back labor last pregnancy and it was very painful in my lower back, it felt like a giant cramp that came in waves and got more painful as time went on and contractions got stronger.

Braxton Hicks aren't fake contractions like some people think. I'm sort of in the same boat right now. Braxton hicks are very real contractions they are just very mild. You have probably started Early Labor. Make sure your doctor checks if you are dilated, but be prepared for a very long process, from days to weeks, as the braxton hicks get stronger and build up to full blown contractions.

I remember I had back pain during my pregnancy as well, but no actual contractions in my back till I was in labour. Any BH I had were centered low in the pelvis.

Hey ladies I'm currently 35 weeks & 4 days. Tonight my lower back started hurting and the lower part of my belly feels crampy. Sorta like b4 u get ur period. I'm not bleeding or anything and my stomach doesn't get hard so Im not having contractions. Jw if this is normal and how can I make it go away so I can get some sleep. Thanks in advance!

Could be back contractions. With my first I had back contractions there really painful.

It's in my lower back there is a constant dull pain but I get bad pain off and on.Ive been having contractions off and on for over a week but they aren't consistent or painful my stomach just gets real tight.I went to the doctor tuesday and she checked me and said I was at at 1 and 30% effaced then the back pain started wednesday and not getting any better.

I know its possible to have back contractions without feeling them in my front and I am so worried thats what im having bc my back has been killing me! How exactly can you time back contractions!? Im 35 weeks!

What do contractions in your butt and back feel like? Is it a constant pain or come and go? I've been through labor once but it was all in front and ended in csection. Not sure if what I'm experiencing are contractions or just aches and pains from bring 38 weeks. Any input would greatly help!
