With my second back labor(9 days ago) I stalled out at five cm and was encouraged to get on my hands and knees to try to get baby to turn his head from face up to face down. It worked and made my contractions start up and my water to break. They said I was having back labor cause of his position. I ended up having him ten mins after my water broke and no pain meds. Good luck on getting your back labor to stop.
Okay i have been having contractions on and off since last night but not so much where as though i can't handle it.But today when i woke up my body was in so much pain i started having them in my back.
Still have back contractions after lik 5 hrs smh there hurting worst no on call nurse said drank water lay dwn and. Take sum Tylenol. I did all of that 3 hrs ago smh anybody else have this problem I'm mad.
Can someone explain to me how back contractions feel like? I had a dweep done today, & went for a walk and my back hasnt stopped hurting ever since. Dont know what to look for.

That's what it sounds like. I had them off and on randomly for a few days, then nothing. After 2 days i had those terrible menstrual like cramps and heavy colored discharge; i called in to ask about them, the nurse told me i was in preterm labor. Turns out it was round ligaments and a bruised appendix (he's a kicker), and the back pain from earlier was just Hicks contractions.
What do contractions in your butt and back feel like? Is it a constant pain or come and go? I've been through labor once but it was all in front and ended in csection. Not sure if what I'm experiencing are contractions or just aches and pains from bring 38 weeks. Any input would greatly help!

39 weeks And a day and my baby has been super active which is resulting in the " lightning" stage, well now I'm having uncomfortable contractions in my back. Is there anything I can so to alleviate some of this?
Never hurts to ask your doctor! Contractions usually start from your back and wrap around your tummy. It kindof sounds like your baby may just be lowering deeper but you never know!
I'll be 39 weeks pregnant tomorrow and so far I've had literally no contractions, no braxton hicks etc, all I really get is a crampy feeling, but I've got really bad back pain which comes and goes, and bad rib pain too... from my last midwife app two week ago he's 3/5th engaged he's been head down for a while now, he's dropped really low I can literally feel him headbutting down there to the point I worry he'll just pop out, anyone know if there back contractions?

How far along are you? I've had on and off contractions and they are primarily in my back. My friend just had her baby and said it was the same for her.
No pain in the tummy area but back wise I'd say on a pain scale of 0-10 . 10 being the worse pain I've ever felt ...
