I am an 18 year old male, and I recently noticed that there is a small knot in my chest under my left nipple. I had noticed that my nipples were dry, but i life weights a lot so I figured they were just raw rubbed by my t-shirt. The dryness has ceased but there is still a little knot. It appeared very quickly, so I am not sure if this is something I should be worried about, or if will clear up on its on as fast as it arrived. Thanks for your help!
When I was sitting down and was getting in the up position, the pain caught me in the sternum part of my chest to where it knocked me back down on the chair...Fourth, I also developed back pain (the upper back) and everytime I went to take a deep breathe inhaling I could feel the pain in my back like it was a knot, but it was a dull achy pain but very strong to where I couldn't sit down.
My girlfriend is having chest pain that feels like a knot, I'm trying to figure out what can help her without going to the hospital because they are trying to scam people. Can anyone be of help???
I had a severe case of pnemonia when i was 16 and now being 26 every now and then i get a "knot" feeling in my chest/lung areas. It sometimes last for days and increase pain when I breath but also sometimes I can make it pop when i take a deep breath. It also can increase in pain when I take a deep breath. I am not having any anxiety, sob, coughing or any other symptoms. All previous xrays have been negative. Can anyone explain what this can be and should I be worried.
My friend has a knot in their throat, and is curious if it could be caused from snorting pills?? I have no idea what to tell them... but as long as they snort a pill and have drainage, the knot doesnt bother them, but if they havent snorted one, they are comparing the pain to that of strep throat... Anyone have any idea what could cause this?
I am trying desparatly to find an answer to a question that doctors cannot answer. My mother (40 yrs) has these same symptoms as posted below. Almost exact. The only difference is, her BP is low, not high. I found this post, but there were no replies that were helpful. She has seen several doctors, and has had several tests ran. Her doctors think it is an auto-immune disorder. Most likely lupus. However, with my research, i cannot find that the symptoms are the same as lupus.
He has had a knot that comes and goes on the left side of his neck in the front near his throat and collar bone. It looks to be swelled up to about half the size of a tennis ball and sticks out around 1/4 inch. It brings him to his knees when rubbed down on. Does anyone know if this could be serious or needs immediate attention? Thanks in advance.
I am trying to do some research for my brother who has been struggling with terrible intermittent pain in his esophagus for the last 4 years. He has been to the mayo clinic where he underwent a battery of tests and had numerous other tests with other doctors trying to figure this out, to date he has had no relief. He is on medication for GERD, and has been prescribed pain medication. He is miserable and all this has produced anxiety and a lot of stress. He is now in an anti-depressant.
Wasn't sure where to post this. About two months ago I started lifting weights and exercising to get back into shape. I am 5'3" and 250lbs. I am not flabby, just heavy. I noticed after a month that my left shoulder was hurting. Now the muscles in my left arm are aching and tingling pretty much all the time. I don't have any other symptoms (shortness of breath, chest pain, dizziness etc.) My wife started massaging my shoulder and found a big knot that is very painful.
So I woke up this morning with a pain in my sternum - if I take deep breaths it hurts (more a dull throbbing ache). No other symptoms. I was diagnosed with GERD years ago, but that is under control. Could this be a sign of GERD flaring up? I have not taken anything for the discomfort as it has stopped for now. I plan on working out tonight and am afraid that the excessive breathing will make it start up again.
Not sure if I need to go to the doctor or try an antacid?
Any thoughts?

HR would spike in 200s, elevated BP, SOB, chest pain, tightness in chest and throat, heavy lump in throat, flushing, weakness, tingling and numbness in legs and arms...pratcially every known SVT symptom all at once. EP doctor diagnosed it as left atrial tachy. I am 6 weeks post ablation and feel much better. Ablation seems to be succesfful but dr said there were a few more spots that could give me trouble later down the road.
Ok, the end result was that my acid reflux burned my left tonsil and Eustachian tube, and throat causing pain in my jaw and ear. Tonsil became infected as a result, which aggravated my TMJ. I now have throat spasms due to the damage. I had my tonsils removed today by an excellent doctor. I will have to take flexrill for the rest of my life due to the damage, it relaxes my throat so that I don't choke while eating and drinking. Long story short, DON'T EVER MESS WITH THE ACID REFLUX!
have you ever been treated for acid reflux or gerd, do you ever feel as though you have a knot in your throat? that's is what happened to me, i kept telling my dr i had a knot in my throat but he finally sent me to a ent which only verified what he had said -acid reflux. i don't think that is your whole problem but i would check this out. keek us up to date!
Then the day after discovered a small knot on my left arm jus below the wrist. And even as I type this my chest tightness has returned. I read how some ppl contract HIV mistake bumps for insect bites when it's actually a sign of infection. I'm worried that my chest tightness is due to swollen nodes.
Every time I drink Tea (whether it is hot or warm) I get first a pain in my chest, almost directly between my breasts, but then also pain in my abdomen area. I have no clue what this is and don't want to go to a doctor if its something that just takes a couple days to go away.

For the last few weeks i have had a pain in the right side of my throat,it is a slight constant pain but worse when i swallow or shout. I have been to the doctors twice about it he says he cant see anything wrong and told me the 1st time to gargle in asprin(he thought i may have ruptured a blood vessell as i had a chest cold at the time)the second time he told me to take an antiseptic throat spray but nothing has worked and the pain is still threre and seems to be getting worse.
Sometimes there is associated pain to insufficient supply of blood/oxygen to heart cells that is usually chest pain, but sometimes there is shoulder, back and jaw pain. Your age almost rules out any occluded vessels, and if you had a decrease of blood pumped into circulation with a valve disorder, you almost certainly would have other symptoms such as shortness of breath, muscle fatigue, chest pain, etc.
