483733 tn?1326798446 Or u could make a vinegar syrup as a cough remedy. To calm a cough, mix 5 tbsp of honey with 5 tsp of organic cider vinegar. This mild syrup will relieve coughing and help break up phlegm. Or u can do a chest compress which enhances this effect. Soak a towel in equal amounts of cider vinegar and hot water (as hot as u can stand) and place it on your chest for 30 minutes. Sorry, just couldn't stop...had to share this with u lol.
Avatar f tn For the throat try a spoonful of honey either by itself or mixed with apple cider vinegar. The vinegar will help the congestion as well. Put a pot of water on to get hot and just before it starts to boil pull it off the stove. Take a towel and cover your head and put your face close to the pot. The steam will help clear your nose out. You can take sudafed for the stuffy nose or you could try Vicks under your nose or on your chest.

Avatar f tn So I started maternity leave Friday and woke up Saturday with a rotten cold! How typical is that. Felt uncomfortable enough without this stinking cold on top! I have just over a week before I have a planned c section (31st March). Hope I feel better for it!
Avatar f tn m allergic to cold medicine, so I always use natural remedies. As soon as I feel a cold coming on, I double my Vitamin C. I also steam fresh mint leaves for congestion and make and my own vitamin water using mint leaves, fresh cut lemons and limes. I can usually kick a cold within 2-3 days using these remedies. Good luck and feel better!
Avatar f tn Same for my lungs, I havent coughed up blood or anything black, its only ranged from clear white saliva to slightly dark yellow/green phlegm (As would be present in cold/chest infection), but Ive noticed enough difference in myself overall to know I have an issue that needs dealing with. Hopefully someone can help provide some further insight in solving this issue?

1953268 tn?1454815040 ve described here, and insist on having a chest exam. Green mucus can be a sign of infection. Chest pain should never be ignored, and should definitely be looked at by a physician in order to rule out any thing serious. Years ago, I had symptoms much like yours, but I chose to skip the doctors visit and stay home. It turned out that I had bronchitis, then developed pneumonia.
Avatar f tn As I was released from the hospital a second time because of preterm labor, I thought that nothing else would happen. Wrong! I woke up with a huge cold sore on my lower lip. I've tried everything to get rid of it. Its not even a big deal, i just hate the itching and pain that comes with them. Do any of you ladies have any tips to help make it go away?

1478926 tn?1287767056 Just wondering has anybody heard of boiling vinegar in a pot to allow the steam evaporate the whole house this helps to kills the cold bacteria and germs as well relieve stuffy nose? Avatar f tn have you tried 1 Tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in an 8 oz. glass of water? For some people, this cures them and they never get heartburn again. Some of us have surgery to correct this problem. I had the TIF twice. (I fell and broke my ribs and pulled some of the "clips" or "staples" out.) Try the vinegar first... Others find that taking hydrochloric acid with Pepsin helps. Yes, acid to fight acid.
10817881 tn?1422287520 Any mommas get really bad colds before they delivered?! I'm 39+1 and really sick, no fever or anything but the glands in my neck are swollen, I have a pretty bad cough and my head is pounding. I just don't want to get my precious little man sick if I ended up being sick when I deliver! Just wondering if anyone else struggled with this? I'm trying EVERYTHING to get rid of the cold. Tylenol, rest, eat pack, tea and Popsicles!
Avatar f tn Okay, because i been craving salty stuff..
Avatar n tn My chest is always red..everyone always thinks i'm sunburn and i'm not. It doesn't hurt. I thought I might have high blood pressure which I don't.
Avatar n tn Statistically 1 out of every 2-3 people you've ever kissed in a lifetime have had hsv1 orally whether they knew it or not. It's incredibly common. Just because you can't recall ever having any obvious cold sores yourself, doesn't mean you aren't infected with it too. It really is THAT common of an infection! So what do you do now? Well the symptoms you describe now really don't sound like cold sores.
Avatar f tn Yep, or swish with vinegar, apple cider vinegar is usually more tolerable. Also zinc can help, but if you are taking prenatals than you might be maxed on zinc.
Avatar n tn I would suggest alternating between Nizoral shampoo, neem shampoo, and Neutrogena Clean (green formula) shampoo. You can try a dilute vinegar rinse before a final cold rinse to also dry this up and clean up your scalp. do that once a week or so with white vinegar.
Avatar f tn I'm 14 weeks pregnant and craving vinegar so bad. I'm not drinking it I heard it's bad but I'm just dipping everything in it. Why vinegar?
