Celexa upset stomach

Common Questions and Answers about Celexa upset stomach

celexa

I have had some stomach upset and tiredness. I went to 30 several days ago and the side affects got worse. Does this go away after awhile. I feel i need the higher dose to feel better.
When I first started Celexa I had diarhea and general stomach upset. I felt a little jittery, especially at bed time. Besides that I had no other side effects. I have found that Celexa works quite well for me. I think the thing with depression meds is that you need to find what's right for you. If you are still feeling depressed, keep getting your dosage increased - 40 mg is the common dose for cronic depression.
the reason i stopped taking them was because they made me get fat, and i had even less libido than i did just from the depression alone... not to mention that celexa upset my stomach to an extreme degree that never dissipated. i tried to call my doctor's office and tell them how i feel just so that i could find out how long it will last, but the idiot receptionist said (in response to the electro-shock symptoms) "what? i've never heard of that.
Do not feel alone..I need to drink more water again and get my butt to do the exercising..I drank more and exercised more when my anxiety was on the moon...I have gained a few and I obsess over loosing it.. So come on over and we will go hiking or running by the lakes....It will all come back..I am just in a little bit of pain now and then..I know the gym will help out..And the hot tub there...Ya.. This time I had no stomach issues or the rls..It was so strange..
(, i just coulndnt hold my stomach either...i ended up throwing up but...it was just foamy white vomit nothing heavy came up despite eating. I just feel so ill.
I'm experiencing withdrawal symptoms (headache, upset stomach, fuzzy thinking etc). I wanted to go off the medication soon anyway. So do I stay off it? Or do I go back back on it once I have it back tomorrow? Shoud I ask a pharmacist for a 40 mg tablet for today? Since i already started the withdrawal process, should i begin to drop my dosage? thanks!!!
The most common side effects of sertraline are sleepiness, nervousness, insomnia, dizziness, nausea, tremor, skin rash, upset stomach, loss of appetite, headache, diarrhea, dry mouth and weight loss. What you are experiencing right now may be caused by the side effect of this drug. If it persists, inform your doctor for proper management. Take care and best regards.
I had a feeling of grogginess and yet my body and mind were agitated (thoughts racing and unable to keep still). I also had stomach upset and palpitations. I stopped taking it on the advice of my doctor but I wonder if maybe I took it in the morning instead of at night, it would work better? I really need an antidepressant that won't worsen my restless legs and if Celexa is the one, i don't want to give up on it.
Essentially, it would be almost like looking through a camera that's taking pictures at a high rate of speed, but not quite fast enough to be totally smooth. It's a bit disorienting, would probably upset some people's stomach a bit, and make you feel a bit out of body. If this is what you're experiencing, I can tell you that it did get better for me, probably around the 4-6 week mark, and never really happened again after that during extended use.
I just started taking celexa two days ago and have been feeling worse than ever. Yesterday I had some sort of sudden severe episode where my whole inside felt hot and it moved it's way up to the bottom of my mouth (can't really describe the feeling in my mouth-kind of fuzzy, slighlty tingly). I felt "not right" and was certain I was about to pass out. It was more terrifying than any panic attack I had. I also felt like I was slowly rocking and swaying.
I did have side effects when starting the Celexa. I felt a bit fatigued with some stomach upset. My headaches felt more like sinus pressure. It all went away by week three and I saw benefits by week six. Give it time. It may not be the right drug for you, but you have to give it time. Have you discussed these migraines with your doctor? How do you know they are med related? I would ask about Topomax or something like it to see if there is any improvement.
30 am on September 11th, I had the misfortune to be watching planes crashing live into buildings. The stomach upset and rebound depression was severe and lasted for several months. My doctur used Prozac to ease me through this period. Of course withdrawels are different with everyone, so listen carefully to what your body and your doctor tells you. That's my best advice.
My whole mindset seems frozen in heightened state of anxiety, upset stomach, headache, and jerk awake when falling asleep.I've started on an herbal combo of passionflower and st johns wort and also a homeopathic Similian for anxiety relief when I can't catch my breath. Need relief!
If anyone has some experience with this, I would love to hear from you.. I did try to bump up the Celexa to 5mg yesterday and had an upset tummy.. I really am trying to avoid this because I am eating very little due to the anxiety.. Since my bad anxiety attack on 7/22/10 I have lost 10lbs..My appetite is almost non existant..I have good days where I eat more than normal but then the next day I am back to a few nibbles here and there.
Hi, 12 years ago I was prescribed Celexa for stomach issues (a side effect was relaxing the stomach) it was short term therapy and I got off the medication shortly thereafter. 10 years ago, it was prescribed to me again as a depression preventative. I was a teenager and had a lot of medical issues which required many surgeries. I have always been very naturally tiny (thin) and I'm not sure that was really taken into account when I was being operated on. My recovery times were always huge.
Before starting Celexa 3 weeks ago, I was suffering from extreme anxiety, weight loss and loose bowels. I went on 2.5mg Celexa and the whole time I was on it, I had abdominal cramping and loss of appetite. It did minimize my panic but the side effects on my gut were killing me. I finally had enough and stopped taking it 2 nights ago.. Yesterday I felt great! No cramping, ate some food and life was good, I woke up this morning to loose stools again, severe morning anxiety and unable to eat.
I have been taking Nexium for months now after having been tested with stomach inflammation. Since taking Nexium, I have not been having upset pain in my stomach as I did nearly every day. I am feeling better.
Also my episode today was brought on by me eating less than 3 hours before I went to sleep (around 1.5 hours). When I woke up this morning I could tell my stomach and esophogus were upset with me, and when I finally ate lunch (several tums, water, and a prilosec later) 15 minutes or so later the bloating and heart fluttering kicks in. Please if anyone knows a way to heal yourself from this condition let me know.
I feel fine and I don't feel depressed. I do have little bit upset stomach. I don't know what it is. I told my doctor about it he said when you take antidepressants you have ejaculation problems, he did not give me anything for erection. My question is would it be safer to take Viagra in this condition.

I try to squeeze it out and only a hard stool comes out. 5. The sweating stops and the stomach cramp subsides. I think everything is over and I clean up. I walk out of the toilet and in about 2 minutes time the stomach cramp and the fainting sensation comes back (I've fainted only once to date from this and was out for about 15-20 minutes). 6. When I get back to the toilet I have a really violent Diarrhoea episode in pure liquid state.
Your stomach upset may be due to celexa. Abdominal pain (stomach pain), Indigestion or heartburn, and Diarrhea are possible side effects of citalopram (celexa). If you're unsure about the drug interactions, you can call your physician or pharmacist.
My stomach feels upset with a bit of the scoots. Started up the 75mg today, I feel alot more energetic in the am but seems to fade away later on in the afternoon.

Xanax is a good medication to use even for this purpose. As long as it works, there is another form of long lasting medication like xanax called klonopin. It has same effect but gives you a continuous protection during your trip, and can always be augmented by occasional doses of xanax.
we have only been broken up for 1 month and he already has a girlfriend. so ive been really depressed and upset. and my stomach has started to hurt really bad to the point where somtimes i cant do anything. and i dont know if the welbutrin XL will help me not be so stressed out or if i should go to my doctor and try to find another way to help me. or take some kind of medican for my stomach. any help?
I've been on Lexapro for YEARS. It helps me a lot.
I ended up quitting because I did not want to keep taking the medicine every night, and it made my stomach quite upset when all I wanted to do was go out and have fun at night. So I went through the withdrawal period, but now that I have been off for probably over a month, I still feel miserable and probably worse than before. My stomach is constantly burning and my head spins - it's like I have really bad nausea nearly everyday.
After 3 days I started feeling flush in the face, stomach upset and had trouble with my bowels. TO say the least, I felt like ****. This Activive stimulates you body to produce more of its own srotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine. With this feeling like **** i consulted a medical professional who said I was suffering from serotonin sydrome and to stop taking the activive, and celexa for a few days so my body could return to normal.
