Hi all,
Last night, I was at a party with friends. One of them had brought her dog (greyhound) and it was calm, relaxed and enjoying the company. I got up from my seat and I must have stepped on one of its paws (or part of) because she made a sound and bit my leg. Now, I was wearing jeans and it was a quick bite, more like a nibble, no pain but stunned. Anyways, once I got back to my place I showered, cleaned my leg but found no bite mark...
My 3 lb Maltese broke her hind leg and had surgery. Three pins were put in place to hold her leg together but in a matter of days one of the pins slipped out and she had to have another surgery exactly 1 week after her first surgery. She now has a pin that is sticking out of her hip (about 1/2 inch) to hold the bone in place, eventually the vet says he will remove this pin (the pin could be in place for 4 weeks depending on how she heals).
3 days ago I was in the yard playing with my three dogs and I ran in the house to get phone and the one dog left my yard and got hit by car and died. My heart along with my other dogs is completely crushed. I feel so bad. I took my best friend along with theirs away. I'm playing with the other two dogs every chance I get,feeding them more snacks then ever just trying to make them feel better. But on the other hand while I'm doing that at some point I just completely loose it.
To start, you feed 2 chews in the am and 2 in the pm for one entire container. Then, taper to one chew in the am and one in the evening. He loves them and he's been normal ever since. They can get pricey, but it's worth the health for your dog.
The osteo bi-flex can't be digested properly, it doesn't have the amount of vits they need, and it's just a waste of money. Use them for yourself and try they phycox. We've been using it for 2 years now.
My kitten I adopted is living in a house with 4 dogs, 2 of them which are very big...and I think that they broke his foot/leg. I talked to a friend, and she said that she could feel popping in her heel when she moved it around, and everytime he jumps off of the counter or bed, he starts moaning really loud. I don't really know exactly what it is that's hurting him, it's been like a month or less since he got it. Do you know what it is?
Her energy levels are good and she seems fine other than this large lump that formed overnight. She sleeps out in the barn in deep hay as it is winter here. My first thought was the hay, did a piece of hay get in her eye. I have given her a Benadryl and am not sure what to do next?

My cat has been hurt, I don't know what happen to him, but he was laying on the steps in the garage and wouldn't move when I let the dogs in, so I pulled him in to the kitchen and got the dogs in. I noticed a few minutes later that the cat had not moved from the spot where I had left him. He was looking at me like he wanted my help and I noticed he was trying to get up but was having a really hard time. He was hurt.
Hi, I slipped rather badly in the snow 7 years ago and hit my leg (shin) on the step of the platform of a bus I was getting onto. It hurt and bled rather badly - too painful for me to cry and I can't take a lot of pain! Although it happened a long time ago there's a dent where I injured it and its still bruised. Is it likely I've fractured it and should I see a doctor? I've been getting cold feelings below the area and I'm worried about the dent and bruise.
Jude is a female mini-dachshund, 5 years old, spayed, overweight at 15 lbs, down from 17. She is on a home diet of roast chicken breast, broccoli, carrot, brown rice and barley. Supplements are omega 3 fish oil, flaxseed oil, bone meal, and bran. It's always bothered me when someone would make her leg twitch (right rear) by petting her in the sensitive area. Of late I can't hardly pet her on the right side without making it twitch, and it's gotten worse.
He said he didnt know we were home which was cr ap because I had lights on, the kids were loud and playing in the living room, and I was doing dishes in the kitchen....so he knew I was home. But im glad I have my kitty lol I just want something that makes more noise and has a more fearsom look lol.

My 10 year old rotti just had surgery for bone cancer in his leg. It had not spread to any other parts of the body but he had multiple stress fractures in the top of his front right leg. Our only option was euthanasia or operate. We decided due to his strength and how young he still acted to operate and try to give him another year or two. He pulled through the operation with flying colours and was doing well post-op. I got a call the next morning that he had not made it throught the night.
