Simple question here, has anyone ever had a negative blood test and negative urine test and went on with their daily routine and a month or so later found out you were in fact pregnant while having ultrasound done. If this has happened to anyone or perhaps someone you know, please respond, I'd appreciate the information. Thanks.
Rheumatologist ruled out lupus, arthritis, Sjogren. Other tests for Lyme disease, Cytomegalovirus were negative.
Good day to all, As you may see from my previous posts, I had some unprotected heterosexual encounters earlier this year, the last one being a “Low Risk” unprotected receptive oral on the 27th.
Now I took a home test when I was 3 days late- negative and a blood test 5 days late- negative too. They wanted to start me on provera but I wanted to do a little research first. I was having many pregancy symtoms along with the late period such as feeling tired all the time, nasea, and my husband and family even said that I had the pregnancy glow. Then I got the call today, very frustrating. Then I started felling like I might start.
Hello, As of today no period and another negative test. I called my doctor to see if I can come in for a blood test. I have alot of menstrual type cramps today that make me think not to go in cause as soon as I get there I will probably start. A girl at work said she didnt get a positive HPT until 5 days late. I just wish I knew either way.
I read on a CDC webpage that it is as high as 15%. What is the false negative rate for this type of blood test? Is there a period of time after exposure when one could test positive on a culture but antibodies not be present to show on a blood test? (I am researching the availability of the more reliable Western Blot or Pockit tests in my area). Can any test show if an infection is recent versus being a reactivation? (I have never shown any symptoms in the past, neither oral nor genital).

This treatment, which has been approved by the FDA consists of bombaring the blood with ultraviolet light. It appears to render the virus inactive. This treatment is offered by Bradford Research Institute in Chula Vista, CA." I have no idea how long it takes or what it costs.
On one occasion I asked Dr. DeAdamo (Eat right for your blood type) and was told to take bioflavonoids for it. I am beginning to take the supplement now, since the vessel popping has become too annoying to ignore.

i had sexual intercourse about 7 or 8 times before seeing a doctor. the same occurred except for 2 times, in which no blood appeared. but the majority of times blood came out in the sperm, or only after ejaculation during urination, or both in the sperm and the urine. once i woke up without having had sex that week and urinated blood. i tested my blood, sperm, and urine and the only abnormality was a high psa level. my dr said it is very rare and is that high in 40/50 year old.
I tried reading on it, but its a bit confusing. My blood type is O+, but I don't know my fiance's. He doesn't know himself. We miscarried in March, but I was told to check our RH Factors. We have been trying since and we are having trouble. Anyone have any info on this? Is this something we need to check on?
Hello Doctor. I've had a few encounters with escort type CSW's over the past few years here in NE Ohio, including recently, whereby I performed unprotected cunnilingus. With all the intense media scare about HPV and male throat cancers, is there a real concern? If so, what are the chances that I obtained 'the cancerous strain'? Is there a test to find out?
To be doubly certain, he also took an HIV antibody blood test at his local clinic which confirmed that he was negative (ie. HIV 1/O/2 Ab Qual Non-Reactive) so I am somewhat reassured that he was indeed negative at the time of exposure. My question is, given the high risk activity (ie. receptive anal sex, broken condom): 1) What is the risk of HIV transmission? 2) Given that he tested negative on the day of exposure, is likelihood of HIV transmission high or low or possible?
Its been very hard, ive isolated myself from everyone. no support. I'm not the whining type but i feel like my life is over. All I know is the o-bands are positive (2 in blood not in CSF), which is consistent with MS, but I guess you already knew that. Seem like everything else is normal? Hopefully, someone else will be along who knows more. Yeah, black and white can be kind of point blank big and bad even when you're expecting it. I really hope you get your answers, though--the unknown is bigger and badder than anything else.
Elisa and rapid tests at 2, 3, 6, 8, 9, 13 weeks all negative. -17.5 weeks ICMA AB 1/o/2 with a Western Blot = negative -17.5 weeks RNA PCR for HIV 1 = not detected (under 48 copies) -17.5 weeks CD4 count = 718 1) Is folliculitis a symptom of ARS or early HIV infection (4 months)? 0 weeks after the fingering. The blood was drawn and sent to a lab where the Bayer Centaur HIV 1/O/2 ELISA was performed and returned a negative result - got the result after an agonizing wait of 6 days. Over the weekend I experienced diarrhea and later that weekend and early the next week I began to develop a sore throat. Towards the middle of that week I had a very bad headache with congestion, which felt like a bad sinus infection, so I called the doctor and he ordered me some Zithromax.
Here's some background info, on 1/31 of this year I had protected, paid sex (but there was very brief genital to genital contact w/o penetration). Guilt had driven me crazy, so I have told my girlfriend, who's away from home studying in the US now. To make the long story short, we will give it another chance and see how it works out.
I don't know for sure, but it's something with the antibodies in your blood, where they will fight off a positive blood type in the baby??? That's kind of the way it was explained to me. All I know is that they give RhoGam to balance out the antibodies in the system, so the mother's doesn't harm the baby, because her body can kill off the fetus....that help at all??
You need to know what type you have, and so does your partner (if his blood test is not recent). Once you two have that information, you can go from there. Start reading the doctor side of this forum (and this side, too) for more information. This is probably one of the most accurate websites on the Internets as far as information about herpes, treatment, transmission statistics, and all of that. The 2 guys answering questions over there are at the top of their game, professionally.
, and will be starting PT to address that. Have had a ton of blood work to rule out mimics and just had a negative Paraneoplastic blood panel but it was noted "The likelihood that this individual's clinical symptoms are associated with these antibodies has been reduced. However, this test result does not rule out an autoimmune etiology for the neurological symptoms associated with paraneoplastic disorder.
Not all blood tests are equal, but all FDA-approved type-specific herpes blood tests are. Your gyno is just plain WRONG, doctors can be wrong. You do NOT need an outbreak to test positive for HSV-1 or 2. It's fine to share your experience but please stop spreading false information, this person is worried enough.
My muscle pains still continue, but at least I can rule out HIV!!!!!
1. My main question is can you tranfer HSV-1 to a partner in the genital area if you are both postive for HSV-1 orally? My docotor told me the chances were so low the risk is not to be much of a concern since you both have antibodies. 2. Is it possible I can have HSV-1 in my genital area by passing it to myself or from passing HSV-1 to someone else and then them passing it to me in my genitals? Again do my antibodies protect me? 3.
Could it be that the specific test they use is a mismatch with my blood type (O+) or the equipment used is not up to standard. Btw the lab is accredited with JCI an American I believe organisation for lab's reliability( lab is based in the UAE.). Are you aware of this organisation (joint commission international) For this I am thinking of retesting again in a different lab.
I am a person who believes in science and facts so I will leave out all the guilt and anxiety driven information. I am a heterosexual male who had unprotected vaginal and oral sex with a CSW in Miami, Fl, USA.(I am aware that rates of HIV are higher in this area compared to other areas in the US). I tested at 3 and 6 weeks with HIV PCR DNA done by LABCORPS. I also tested with HIV 1/O/2 Antibody via ICMA thru LABCORPS at 6,9,12, and 13 weeks. All test were negative.
Look in the mirror before you post something negative about someone who you think is negative. Mike is not negative by no means. Trust me on this one.
