Avatar f tn My blood type is also O+. I found out my blood type after I enlisted in the military plus I found my blood type on my birth certificate. I do suffer from depression and I do have anger issues but I am managing both with therapy. I know when I don't eat, I do get very cranky. I've never had a manic episode but there are times when I was darn near close. I had to remove myself from particular situations or else it may have landed me in jail. Simply because I skipped lunch.
1230912 tn?1273496370 The first I had a miscarriage...so I dont know what blood type the baby had...my other two are both O Negitive...But they gave me the shot anyway...they said to help protect the next baby if there was another pregnancy.
Avatar n tn Try the blood type diet. worked for me. lost 60 lbs in six months. Dr. Peter J. D'Adamo has a book out that makes a ton of sense called "eating right 4 your type". It works!
Avatar n tn pigged out Sat and Sun and started a 750 cal diet on Monday when I received a 2nd shot. I have been hungry and ate foods off my diet. I am a little discouraged and not sure what to do. I am supposed to get three 250 iu shots a week and it will cost $50.00 per week. They also had a doctor do blood work and gave me an ekg, which I paid 60.00 for. I need to lose 60 lbs, ugh....
Avatar f tn Hi I am new to this site, I have MS, Sarcoidosis, and have been diagnosed with Diabetes type 2 due to high dose Prednisone use My questions is, Diet.
1026267 tn?1257594873 I don't know if almond or rice milk have the iodine in them or not, but there is one other thing that might be of help here. I found out that people with type "O" blood should not use coconut or palm anything, even the healthy extra virgin kind. I also found out that dairy isn't really good for type "O" people either.
Avatar n tn This can be hard to prove with blood tests sinceit is a temporary thing, and you cannot produce a hypoglycemic episode necessarily just when blood is being drawn. You may want to work some small changes to her diet -- avoid simple sugars, for "reactive" hypoglycemics, those whose pancreases are overstimulated by sugary foods, will suffer lows after eating foods high in simple sugars. Complex carbohydrates are not as likely to stimulate insulin production.
1201433 tn?1329001237 Hi, I will have to look it up but I would not eat sushi or undercooked seafood. I am sure someone who knows will chime in.
897070 tn?1320656229 After my recent diagnosis of cirrhosis and steatosis I am really seriously considering changing my diet with the intention of lightening the load on my liver. It would be good to be able to lower my inflamation a little. I'm wondering if anyone on the forum has changed to say vegetarian and if so whether they have seen any signs of improvement.
Avatar f tn in fact, i will soon not even be taking thyroid meds and managing the disease by diet. Get a T3 blood test. Get tested for gluten intolerence. Do some research on Hashimoto and you will find this is nothing like any other type of thyroid disease. it is more of an auto immune disease. Hope this helps. Believe it or not Hashimoto is the most misdiagnosed thyroid disease and MOST medical doctors (even your endocrenoligist may not know how to properly deal with this disease.
Avatar f tn Perhaps their bodies aren't actually trying to break down the aspartame and ignoring actual sugars. Perhaps instead, their blood sugar levels are not kept where they were prior to switching to diet soda and so they are unconsciously consuming more food that probably has more calories in it than the soda would have had in it.
Avatar n tn However, if he had struvite or calcium oxylate stones than Hill's C/D or S/O, or equivalent are good foods and there is no reason why you can't continue to give your dog the half can of mackerel and fish oil capsules daily. You should also give your dog cranberry capsules, and a holistic formula called Hydrangea and Eupatorium Formula which should be available online (if you can't find it please post again and I will list some herbal sites that carry the product).
251922 tn?1193786078 ) and my question for now is do I need to eat mostly organic this weekend while I load or is any type foods okay?? I, too, have changed out all the cookies, chips, etc to organic. My boys automatically "hate" them simply because of the word "organic" that's listed. They still eat it though...lol. I am so thankful that I found this forum!! You all are such a help and inspiration.
Avatar n tn Hi! Is anyone starting the HCG diet on Black Friday? I will be doing it 4 weeks thanksgiving to christmas? Do you want to start a support group?
Avatar m tn you might want to try a food elimanation diet, meaning start cutting out certain foods one by one and if you start to feel better, then it might be food related. Oh, and also environmental allergies/chemical allergies, your symptoms really sound like this could be a problem. Have you painted your house lately, put in new carpet, changed detergents or personal products? These can all cause allergies and the exact symptoms you have mentioned.
Avatar f tn So tell us what you stopped eating, and what you started eating? What type of foods are you now consuming?
Avatar n tn Hi everyone. I started the HCG shots today (late afternoon) The doc put me on the "Soup Diet" Can someone please share with me their prescribed diet plan? Im not crazy about the soup diet and I wanted to know if there is a different prescribed 500 cal diet out there, Thanks all.
Avatar f tn I will be introducing my diet SLOWLY the new foods that I will be eating. ANd, I figure this is a great time to experiment with things I have never tried, like Tahini. 17265817 tn?1455105849 This impacts on the type of foods being given. How long can a dog last with kidney disease is impossible to answer. Every dog is different and so much depends on how much damage has been caused to the kidneys. While early diagnosis, good management and prompt diet changes all help prolong life and improve quality of life, the disease can only ever be stalled and will eventually continue to impact on health.
Avatar m tn not sure which one as i haven't been back to the doctor's yet. it was certainly a shock. i am guessing it's type 2. after the initial tests that discovered my condition my doctor sent me off for yet more tests something about lipids and something else plus a urine analysis. would these tests be to determine if it's 1 or 2? i've actually had symptons for many years which i never knew why they were happening but seem to be getting worse and more frequent. nausea when drinking juice.
Avatar m tn To gain weight with diabetes, one needs to eat enough and to have enough insulin. T o keep blood sugars stable one needs to follow a low carb diet. In your situation I'd recommend the book by Dr. Richard Bernstein "Diabetes Solution". It will tell you how to control your blood sugar using low carb diet and exercise, and medications (as necessary).
Avatar f tn http://www.overcomingmultiplesclerosis.org/Recovery-Program/Diet/Foods-to-Enjoy/ Have you been tested for Vitamin D? Do you take any supplement regularly? Mine was 20 that is really low and doctor told me to take 1000 IU per day but I found on this website people with MS should take around 5,000 IU to cover this deficiency.
8683847 tn?1410760916 In the process they can also destroy good blood cells because they really can't differ between good and bad. That is why you have to get weekly blood tests to check your blood platelets. You will go UND (undetectable) during treatment hopefully leading to a status of SVR. So I vision the sovaldi and O as the seperator and the riba as the destroyer. Have to separate the HCV cells to make them vulnerable.
483733 tn?1326802046 I am a type o, which according to Peter D Adamo writer of the Blood Type Diet, means I do better with meat, and do not tolerate gluten so well. I found this to be true for me...it might help to check this book out. I do think that there were some good points made in the Lupus diet. Sugar for instance should not be eaten in excess, or processed foods, and cleansing is very important. Cleansing should be the first step.

Avatar n tn You guys are sure swell! About the whey protein thing - I've been using MetRx protein bars as sort of an indulging-type "diet aid". mmmmmmmmmm chocolate roasted peanut with caramel. 320 calories, 32 grams of protein. I also like to eat edame (soy beans) & hummus & boca burgers & basically I try to keep it down to 65g/day, but often go over 90g.
