Common Questions and Answers about B vitamins eczema

vitamin

Avatar f tn m doing that on a regular basis now that I have a B complex that actually agrees with me. The B vitamins do lessen the severity of eczema in my own case. Over all, my eczema is better in my whole body since eliminating gluten from my diet as well, but the issue on the lips has a bad habit of staying chronic and will really flare up irritated and red. I hate seeing doctors who don't know me about the condition and getting dismissed as if it's nothing but chapped lips.
681148 tn?1437661591 I have tried everything I can think of. My scalp is dry and itchy. It sometimes has eczema or dermatitits in addition to this problem. I've added healthy oils to my hair and scalp and left them in. In a short time, my hair is back to its dry, dull and frizzy self. I'm at my wits end with this. I have loads of allergies, so I'm careful as far as that goes. I don't wash more than once every week or every other week.
Avatar m tn B-complex (riboflavin) can also cause cracking of skin. This condition needs treatment with b-complex vitamins. Kawasaki disease is also associated with peeling of skin and whenever associated with fever, need immediate consultation as it leads to complication of blood vessel. Another possibility is fungal infection or other immunological disorder like SLE. Corticosteroids will be of help to relieve the symptoms. I suggest you to consult physician and rule out the cause early.
Avatar f tn I would start taking a very high potency B complex, also, start taking Brewers Yeast, this is loaded with B vitamins as well. You can sprinkle it on most foods and it tastes wonderful, especially over popcorn.
1044916 tn?1253341963 I am hoping that the rash was just a deficiency of B vitamins. Since I am breast feeding and already taking a pre natal, I want to make sure I'm not taking too much potency of vitamin B for my Baby. What are the safe dosages for breast feeding women? I can't thank you enough, your advise as changed my life. I was so miserable before and now have hope that this is the cure! Thank You!!!
Avatar m tn This is normal with B vitamins. You will notice this happens if you use nutrtional yeast, too.
Avatar f tn Hello, It looks like cheilitis lips or due to an allergic reaction to any of the lip cosmetics. Firstly, It can be due to vit B deficiency. Take some vitamin B complex for some days and see if your symptoms improve. Avoid licking the lips as saliva evaporates quickly resulting in them being drier than before. Drink plenty of water and take multivitamin supplements and do not apply lipstick or other cosmetic products for some days.
Avatar n tn Hi I have a severe case of eczema. I flare up extremely bad on face and neck in the winter. Also when I sweat excessively I itch. Is there any help or products I could use to keep me from looking like a frosted flake in the winter months?
Avatar f tn Also, consider taking a B complex formula. Most of the B vitamins are water soluble. I started taking the highest amount available through Trader Joe's, which is inexpensive to hopefully take care of the other B vitamins. It seems that even though I've had problems taking B complex in the past that their formula doesn't bother me. I also take one 800 mcg folic acid capsule each day.
3154277 tn?1494212160 HI, The itching can well be a reaction to the flip-flops. But it can be something else as well. Allergy to environmental factors-certain foods& medications, dry skin, deficiency of vitamins, dermatological problems like eczema, systemic diseases such as iron deficiency, liver and kidney disease etc can cause itching over the body. You need a thorough evaluation. Consult your Doctor.
3063937 tn?1352422855 Also vitamins b-6 and b-12 to help with fatigue. And they also sell a med OTC at Walmart called restless legs u can take before bed that will help with the legs at night also and as always get ya a good multi vitamin.
Avatar f tn There an awful lot of them that might help. I'd recommend you find a holistic nutritionist for help with this. They'll help to make you as strong as they can, and with so many things to choose from and not knowing what meds you might be taking, they can help with the trial and error of finding what works. Diet is also very important for this particular problem, more so than supplements.
1808884 tn?1324345703 MAKE SURE TO TAKE VITAMIN B-12, MULTI-VIT, VIT-C, CALCIUM (NOT AT THE SAME TIME AS C OR THE C WILL KILL THE CALCIUM), MAGNESIUM. I AM TAKING FOLIC ACID WITH B-12. I WOULD MAKE SURE THAT IS RIGHT FOR YOU BY LOOKING IT UP ON LINE, IT'S PROBABLY OK!
Avatar f tn The other possibility is iron and Vit B deficiency. Along with multivitamin B (not a multivitamin which also has other vitamins) take an iron preparation and see. They can also be caused by allergies and infections. You could either be suffering from contact dermatitis or from allergy to some food. You should get an allergy test done, either a skin test or RAST, to know what you are allergic to.
4274823 tn?1388529098 Vitamin B12 is frequently used in combination with other B vitamins in various vitamin B complex products. How does it work? Vitamin B12 is required for the proper function and development of the brain, nerves, blood cells, and many other parts of the body.
Avatar f tn Cat, Try to load up on gatorade & bananas as well. DOnt know about the 5HTP, but Vit B, C and Calcium has helped me with the leg stuff. Stay the course!
4209053 tn?1351516914 I am deff going to get these vitamins today. No more relapsing !!! I hope this helps me feel better....trick-or-treating is just tomorrow night.
599170 tn?1300973893 I've taken a multi vitamin daily since I was 13. I sometimes take extra B vitamins as well. I think when things are so hectic we sometimes don't get as well or as much as we should and any bit helps.

1509970 tn?1290036714 If you have been tested and are actually B deficient or in the low end of normal range, you can ask your doctor about this (it's a Rx supplement here in the US): http://www.pamlab.com/Products,Cerefolin Hopefully the National Health will cover it where you are, otherwise it can be kind of pricey. Since it's componded with N-acetylcysteine, it may help the liver, besides providing vitamin B in a form the body can use without going the shot or sublingual route.
Avatar f tn My son has had warts on his legs since he was 2. He's now 9 years old. One came up on his ankle and it has spread into dozens since then on his legs and feet. We've tried over the counter stuff and that didn't work. We've went to a dermatologist even since everytime we tried something it seemed like more warts came back than he originally had. They definitely were multiplying.
Avatar f tn I take a cayenne pepper supplement for metabolism support, an acai+superfruit supplement, super b complex and a multivitamin. Is it safe to take all these together and does the cayenne pepper supplement help you lose weight?
